We had the large black walnut tree in our front yard trimmed - the project took them around two hours and four (?) guys on hand. I was impressed with how careful they were with trimming each branch and making certain nothing hit the home through the process despite the branches growing right up against and over the house. I was also impressed by how friendly their crew was and the attention to details (they moved all of my pots from the porch and not a black walnut was to be found after they were finished). Five stars alone for being so diligent about cleaning up the post trimming mess and dozens upon dozens of black walnuts. In summary: highly recommend.

I found James through a Google search, and he came by a couple days later to look at our 2 trees and give us a quote. His son Nick and teammate Oscar came out yesterday and today, taking down both of our dead, hollow trees. There were a few things I noticed about them that I really appreciated, and I consider rare today. 1. NICK & OSCAR WORKED REALLY WELL TOGETHER. I mean REALLY well. Oscar was a constant help to Nick as he climbed the trees and cut them down. When Nick needed something, Oscar was right there bringing it to him. They acted more like brothers than co-workers. 2. THEY ARE RESPECTFUL. No loud music, no vulgar language. No smoking. Just 2 hardworking guys doing their jobs so they can go home to their families at the end of the day. 3. THEY CLEAN UP WELL! They both took time afterward to clean up their whole mess: street, yard, driveway, and all. I was really impressed with how they took pride in their work and wanted to make sure everything was clean afterwards. 4. THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. My husband and I want to create a campfire area in our backyard with log seating around it. When I mentioned this to Nick, he offered to cut however many logs we wanted, and he took time to cut one big one in half to make 2 seats. 5. THEY WERE CONVERSATIONAL. They came to do a job, but they were willing to talk with us as they prepared their equipment and as they were cleaning up. They didn't act rushed or annoyed, and they even acknowledged our toddler and kept waving to him as they walked by. An hour later, Don Burns showed up to look over the project and give me an estimate. Right on time the next morning, a team showed up and started taking the tree down. Before they were finished another team arrived and started chipping and hauling away the debris. About two hours later another two people showed up and ground the stump out.
