There is a choice of 4 sides to choose from. Cucumber salad, Mac & cheese, green beans and cole slaw. I forgot to inquire about any BBQ sauce varieties, but the ones included were flavorful. The Brisket was with both meaty slices and fatty slices just like Brisket should be. The green beans tasted like farm fresh. The Mac and cheese shells were creamy and plentiful. The server asked me if I wanted Brioche buns to make sandwiches and she toasted and buttered them to perfection. Super happy with my decision to give this spot a try and I think if you give it a try, you won't be disappointed! I will be back and I cant wait to try the Prime Rib. They also have meals for 2-4 people of your choice of Prime Rib, Brisket, Pulled Pork or Chicken. All meals come with 3 sides. Jason also post on his Facebook page specials from time to time and the hours they are open or closed. The setting in the middle of a beautiful small town park is the perfect atmosphere to enjoy some food and let the kids play on the playground or to work off some of that meal with a round or two of Pickle Ball! Plenty of very nice picnic tables with shady cover to enjoy your meal as well.

The England burger is essentially a Shepherd's Pie on a bun...and wow. I'm a huge fan of shepherd's pie and this was amazing. I never would have thought to pair it on a bun...and now I want more! I also got the Korean burger, which is burger with Kimchi and BBQ sauce. This was good, too! Different but I liked it. The service was also very friendly. I can't wait to find them again!

As per usual, we weren't disappointed with the food trucks on Georgia Street. Far-Out Fred's featured burgers and sandwiches with some around-the-world flair: Jules ended up choosing a kim-chee covered Korean burger, while I opted for the South American flavored steak sandwich. While Jules thought her burger was somewhat middling, my sandwich was delectable. I definitely could have used more of the chimichurri sauce that came with it, but that's a niggling detail. The real highlight here, though? Risotto balls! Tasty, delectable deep fried balls of rice, cheese, and bacon, that I couldn't get enough of. I'll definitely be back at Fred's, just for those!

We ordered the fried green tomatoes, and they were delicious! We also had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and jalapeño mac and cheese--everything was incredibly tasty. The chicken was really good, and the mac and cheese was our favorite. I had the prickly pear margarita, and it was awesome. For dessert, we tried the honey lavender cake with blackberry, and oh my--it was absolutely delicious. Prices were very reasonable overall. I 100% recommend this place!

ONLY IN INDIANA. I've heard about Hoosier Roots since they opened. It's about an hour from my house (thank all things holy!) and it's TOTALLY WORTH THE TRIP. (8 minutes outside Brownsburg) We kept it simple- 1 order of chicken (8 pieces, yep, 1 whole chicken) 1 small jalapeño mac & cheese, and because they had house made fried pickles, what the hell- add those, too. Walked out with 2 containers of left overs, all for the grand total of $37. Hoosier Roots ain't bougie. This is a jeans & t-shirt place. But, dang- the chicken is better than my grandma's out of the cast iron skillet. I would absolutely take my fancy friends from out of state to get a REAL taste of Indiana. Trust me- they'll be talking about it for ages. We better be careful, it might become the next ironically hip place that the likes of me can't get in to.

And everyone, including us, appeared to be enjoying the band. The Flying Cupcake was on site as well as several other food vendors. The Boy Scouts were doing well selling sandwiches for their troop. This of course is a smaller festival than Penrod and others but with a nice variety of product for sale and less expensive here than same product at other festivals. The rain had put a damper on the festival but the rain let up after an hour or so. Several vendors threw in the towel but the real troopers hung in there since we and many other shoppers didn't let the rain stop us. The vendors who remained open were busy and sold items along with marketing their business. I came home with several things I was very tickled to pick up while disappointed that one of the vendors I originally came for had given up and closed her tent for the day. Regardless, we had a great time and enjoyed talking to Jim Spilman of Slinky and Maggie's Homemade Dog Treats. This was the second time we crossed paths and we have purchased each time. His gluten free, all natural dog treats are popular with both our dogs. My little one has a tendency to turn up his nose if cookies are crunchy or flavorless. Both dogs love his cookies. Check him out if you're in Greenwood at 4084 Rocking Chair Road or Phone 317-509-2781.
