I stop by this store every time I travel to Crozet. Great tasting comfort food and friendly service. A very resonance price.

For a few years I heard about this place. First from my husband from his work travels then from…read moreacquaintances then on the news! I finally had my first experience with Buc-cee's and I could see what all the hype is about. I was blown away when we were just approaching the area! The many cars coming and going! I was blown away again when I entered the building. It was like going to a pro game or concert, so many people! But this crowd had a different vibe. It was like a frantic vibe. Like wanting to get in or out of the building or to make sure they were not missing out in getting the popular fried chicken or something else. When I mentioned to my hubby I was going to a Bucc-ee's he asked me to try the Brisket sandwich. Brisket is always last on my list of food to try. But, I will because my hubby asked me to. He's always trying things I ask him to. Well, I am glad that I did because that sandwich was very good. The meat was not dry and it had just the right amount of bbq sauce in it. I just added chopped onions that they already had in little containers to take. Together it made it a perfect meal. They did have an option of sliced or chopped tri-tip. My friend was trying to get an order of the chicken strips but every time it came out fresh people swarmed and immediately grabbed them. She decided not to be part of that swarm. I bought a handful of snacks to try on our road trip to NC and I wanted gift to my dad (an assortment of nuts) with a fave snack of his. This place had a section (2 of them) for drinks, for cooked food, and desserts. In another area there is a gift section. We visited this place in the midst of lunch time. I wonder if this place is just as busy during late hours. Although there seems to be plenty of parking it's still madness. Be sure to pack some patience with you.

This place is massive! There was easily 300+ cars between the pumps and parking spaces. Husband got…read morethe bbq brisket was very good and better than expected for being a gas station! Cookie dough bites were amazing. Banana pudding was very light and tasty. Super clean bathrooms and no wait for gas that was cheap! The lines move around quickly!

From the VDACS on July, 15, 2020 (regarding food safety) -…read more"The Trading Post is out of compliance in many areas, and we have a follow-up inspection scheduled; they are in our "compliance process." I got diarrhea from just reading the 3-page report. All kinds of health violations with most of them being repeat violations. I have never seen a report worse than this one. Spooky Action ________ To: The Virginia Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services (VDACS) Date-Time: July 11, 2020, 7:00PM EDT I just noticed a Yelp review re: The Trading Post. It's from 12/18/2017 but it is the sort of thing I would expect when dealing with a gas station sandwich shop. The problem is magnified by the fact that The Trading Post is a hub for area tradesmen, many of whom do not wear masks to protect themselves from Covid-19. So it's an easy path from customer, to their breathed-upon money, to the cashier, to that cashier also spewing his/her no-mask oral spray and Covid-19 fingers onto sandwiches, to the customer's stomach, to the emergency room and, finally, to the graveyard. All because some poorly trained individual couldn't be bothered or doesn't take this matter seriously. I have to agree with the reviewer that it is absolutely deplorable if the people at The Trading Posts are not, at least currently, taking this matter seriously. Questions: * Has any VDACS staff addressed this issue with The Trading Post? * Is VDACS requiring food handlers to wear masks and gloves? * If so, are there fines for noncompliance? * Does VDACS have any view about the The Trading Post's current health awareness? * What do I do if I witness open-food handling w/o masks or gloves? Note: I will reevaluate this review after receiving a response from VDACS.

I'm gonna have the best food around or else I won't offer it" - what I'd imagine the owner of Trading Post said to himself when he opened up shop. There are two types of people that open up restaurants: one does so in order to make money. The other to share their joy of good food with their community. The Trading Post falls under the latter
