What I remember about that was that it hurt, but it was beautiful. Fast forward a couple of years and the new buzz word became microblading, so I jumped on the bandwagon and started going to a place in Bellaire that was highly recommended. But after 3 years of driving there (and constantly still coloring my brows in with makeup during those 3 years), it became a chore and I went somewhere closer to my home. Needless to say, I was not pleased with the results and went more than 2 years with getting no touch ups at all. Christina came highly recommended, so I decided to reach out and try tattooing again. First, she explained to me that what I thought was faded (and horrible) color from my microblading, was actually scar tissue from a job no-so-well done. She assured me that her method of tattooing would not hurt (like the first time I had it done), and so we began the process. She was 100% right! No pain! She was easy and fun to talk to, but more importantly, the end result of her work is AH-MAZING!! I followed her after care instructions to the letter, and actually healed a little faster than expected. When I came in for my follow up appointment (that I requested just to be sure all looked good to her), she even commented how good everything looked and only did a tiny bit of touch up. Who wouldn't love waking up with perfect, natural looking brows?! I did have a big concern though...I either found reviews that said 'it hurt' or 'didn't feel a thing.' My other concern was that I wanted to find a place that had really great reviews- they are working on your face after all! So... here is it... Natasha is WONDERFUL! She numbs your eyebrow area before starting the microblading. So, the most you feel is pressure. And in some places you don't even feel pressure. Believe me when I say that you do not have to be concerned about pain- I DO NOT like needles and have a low pain tolerance. The numbing process honestly feels like a really rough eyebrow plucking. Then once that is done, you don't feel a thing while Natasha does her magic. Skin Solutions Day Spa is my new favorite place! AVOID THIS PLACE! - HALF OF MY HAIR IS GONE!…read more I paid $235 for color and full highlights at SH Salon - Clear Lake, and I left extremely disappointed. The original stylist was Genesis. The color was not what I asked for, which is why she offered a second toner to try to correct it. However, my hair was already breaking off from the treated areas, so I left before the second toner because I was afraid more processing would make the damage worse. During the bleaching process, I noticed the bleach was dripping, which has never happened in my experience getting highlights. Then, right before being rinsed, the aluminum foil burned my scalp in an area about four inches in diameter. This is likely from the hair bleach dripping and reacting to the foil. I started noticing breakage while still in the chair, but I did not realize how bad it was until I got home and saw that the treated hair was continuing to break and fall out. There are chunks of strands of hair that have fallen out, I used to use a bigger ponytail, and not I'm having to double the ponytail for it to stay. Half of my hair has fallen out. I initially contacted Jeremiah, the Director over the SH Hair Salons, sent photos of the damage, and requested a full refund because of the breakage and incorrect color. He told me I needed to go into the store and have a manager look at my hair before any refund or resolution would be considered. Jeremiah also said he has been doing hair for 25 years and that a little bit of hair is supposed to fall out from highlights. I understand normal shedding can happen, but I have been getting highlights for around 20 years, and I have never had this much breakage, damage, or scalp discomfort. Regardless of what I say about my experience, he has downplayed what I say. I returned to the Clear Lake location and saw Libby, the manager, who tried to fix the mistake made by Genesis. She tried to salvage what she could, but a significant amount of my hair had already broken off and fallen out. She also could not get the color to match the honey blonde I originally came in for. I specifically wanted to be blonde, and the final result still does not match what I asked for. After going back in person like I was told, I continued messaging Jeremiah about a refund. Even after showing photos of my broken hair, hair that had fallen out, and the color not matching what I requested, he has not responded back to me about refunding me. My hair is fragile, breaking, visibly damaged, and still not the color I asked for. Very disappointing results, scalp discomfort during and after the appointment, and poor handling of the refund request. I would not recommend this salon.
