On the day of my appointment which was scheduled for 0730 but you guys never called. At 0800 I gave you guys a called and Sean told me "it maybe be later in the afternoon". That was very unprofessional. Next, you guys finished the job and left with NO instructions, no hey Mr. Anderson we are finished. Me not being aware that the job was completed called for instructions at 2:00pm. My question was "when will we be able to occupy the garage again? Sean's reply "about this time tomorrow". I'm thinking based upon his response 2:00 the next day. Around 3:00 I started bringing my items back into the garage and later that day my wife came home knowing she can now park in the garage. This turn out to be a mistake because the floor was not finished curing and we had tire marks on the floor. I immediately called the company to see if there were something that could be done because based on the instructions that were given. the company wants to charge us an additional $300 to correct the problem. Now, the work was great!! However, the customer service can use some work. Better communication and instructions are needed. I don't mind accepting responsibility but I can't on this one. Bruce Concrete Coatings just completed 1300 sq ft of epoxy flooring in our basement. Their work was excellent, done in an expedient manner over a weekend. Sean and his helper came in on a Saturday morning and finished up the next day in the afternoon. They were very organized, efficient, clean and quality minded while also being very competitively priced. At the end of the project they left the site just as clean as when they arrived. After working and learning the concrete coatings industry for a decade, I started Bruce Concrete Coatings to serve the Carolinas with the most durable concrete coating products, utilizing the most dependable preparation processes and most efficient installation methods. After working for some of the largest and smallest companies in North America, I’ve established relationships with the best material suppliers in the US and we have worked with and been trained by some of the top installers in the nation. Meet the Business Owner: Sean B.

I started installing concrete coatings and polishing concrete in 2010 and I love what I do. I started out working for a small company installing epoxy and urethane floors for commercial spaces like airplane hangers, restaurants, retail stores, etc. In 2013 I started working for a company who specialized in sport stadiums and large industrial food processing facilities where I learned heavy duty urethane cement flooring and industrial strength coatings. After traveling for work for a few years I decided to get back to working locally and started working for the largest commercial flooring contractor in North America. With the new job I learned how to manage multiple crews and run large jobs during the day and starting up my business by working nights and weekends on residential garages and patios. After doing that for two years I built enough word of mouth to focus solely on Bruce Concrete Coatings, building a relationship and reputation with our community ever since.

The edges crack when clicking together. However, the store refused to let us return for a full refund. Their policy is to charge a 25% restocking fee even though there was a manufacturing defect. Even in our case where everyone agreed it was defective the "regional manager" still refused to refund. So we are out 25% and the money it cost to pay our installers. They also had a customer service rep call us per their policy from overseas who had no idea about our case and also refused to refund our 25% fee. I'm assuming they plan to resell this defective product since we had to pay for "restocking" which seems criminal. I have never encountered a store with such a horrible policy and negligent upper management. We plan to sue them for the 25% they owe us because that is only fair.

The big thing to fix before we moved in, was demolishing the old, impractical closet shelving and organizing (to replace with new). Because it all happened far faster than expected, we found ourselves needing contractor help in a hurry to get a large walk-in closet and four other bedroom closets demolished, patched, and painted. I went on Yelp, found CHS were top rated, and sent them a message. Bill and his team at CHS replied within 24 hours to our first inquiry. We exchanged texts with photos and questions and got and accepted a quote within a day. They were in our house three days later and got the job done two days after that. They stripped the floor to ceiling old shelves, patched and repainted the walls, fixed the hardwood floors and left everything completely clean. From first Yelp search to finished job, one week. There so many thoughtful touches, a pathway for my dads wheelchair, mulch barriers from my neighbors wild flowers, storage for our kayaks. The transformation was huge, it's like a whole new house. Gairy was incredibly kind, easy to work with, and very responsive throughout the process. Pricing was also very reasonable for the amount of work completed. We're extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend them.

First job: great Second job: decent, but some of the plants…read moreweren't the greatest quality and had to chase around quite a lot to get them to replace. Third job: (Last fall) paid for manual pulling/removal of Bermuda grass from garden beds, plus weed control and mulch. Emphasis on manual removal - explicitly was told they would pull all the Bermuda out manually to get all the roots out. Took a bit of chasing around to get them to actually get it on the books, and then when they did come they just buzzed everything with a string trimmed and sprayed weed killer over that. We agreed to still pay the full price on the condition that Gairy would send a team out in the spring once the Bermuda woke up and inevitably came through the mulch since it wasn't removed. He agreed, and we left it at that. Flash forward to this year and has completely ghosted us and been non-responsive. Even tried asking about having a bunch of other services added so that it wouldn't be a totally free trip, but still No luck. We finally gave up on any hope of getting the promised services, hired Mr. Outdoor Living, dropped like $4K on services with them instead and will be sticking with them next year when we do a sprinkler system and stone retaining walls.
