Then the dental assistant comes out, and she is more rude than the front desk. My husband was forced to come here because he is military. We did not and would not pick this place. His first wisdom tooth was removed, and he woke up. He told them prior he metabolizes anesthesia quickly. The referring dentist also advised them of this. The second appointment was even worse. He was awake and felt the whole procedure. He kept telling them how bad it was, and they told him to be still and breath. We had to go back to the dentist on base because the pain was so severe. We had to return to this place, and the staff was even more rude for their screw up. I asked for the office manager's card. They didn't have one. I asked for her information, and the huge girl at the front desk could only say her first name. Claimed she didn't know her schedule or any additional information. I've worked in the medical field for the past 15 years. Never have I witnessed such terrible customer service and treatment.

I thought this was odd, so I contacted my insurance to verify and they stated that the pricing was wrong and I should have it mostly covered. With all this complication I decided not to do my procedure here and went elsewhere only paying $40 out of pocket there. Fast forward two months from my evaluation at Black River I received a bill. Again, I have insurance so why am I being billed the full amount? Not just that but this bill is due in just 4 days after I received it! I contacted their office and they said "your insurance was maxed out". Impossible, because it was my first time using it. I contacted the insurance and came to find out they never submitted my claim to the insurance and not even sure how'd they know if it was maxed or not if they never submitted anything. My issue is currently being handled but I find this extremely odd to be asked to pay the full amount with such a close due date after receiving it. Even when I have Dental insurance that was never contacted. Save yourself the hassle and complication and go elsewhere.

Truly outstanding across the board.... From reception, to the nurses, to the doctor, to billing. Every interaction was positive. Dr. Curtis was especially wonderful with both me and my kids. He took the time to make sure they understood their treatment, what was happening, and why. He was so kind, patient, and easy to talk to. Leading up to surgery, the day of, and even afterward, I called at least 10 times with questions. Not once did anyone seem annoyed. Every time, they were helpful, responsive, and happy to answer anything I needed. On the day of surgery, the staff continued to go above and beyond. When my daughter had an issue with gauze getting stuck in her braces, they stepped in immediately to help without hesitation. They even called a few hours after surgery to check on how she was doing, which meant so much. This place deserves more than just this review. I'm so impressed. The doctor who saw me was relaxed and personable. CONS: They originally quoted me $865 after insurance for the extraction with 60% payable upfront. I can't afford that on the 1st so I said I had to wait. They didn't propose any other solution. I got to thinking about it, and they were quoting me this based on putting me to sleep! I called back and asked for a quote based on just local anesthesia, and it was $166. I was a bit irritated they didn't go over all the financial options up front. PROS: The surgeon, dentist, and staff are awesome and very personable. The office is clean and inviting. They were honest about what needed to be done for cleaning and very gentle with my 15-year old daughter. I'm quite happy with them!
