When one asked for my license and ins card she said we don't take this. I said the woman I spoke to yesterday said you did I asked 2x , the other girl said Oh, that was me I must have made a mistake. Well, I am in pain and a mistake is not what I want to hear right now when I know I was specific. I work in the medical field as well so I know the importance of making sure I see a participating provider. I was told I can "JUST PAY" That was not the answer I needed. She then made a face at me and asked if I wanted to speak w/ the office manager.. sure I said... Well HELLO it's me Sara.. lol Really. If this is who they wish to represent them well I am glad I left. She is a not cut out for any position in healthcare. I told her to make a phone call to Medicare to find out what it is. I explained that I do not pay co-pays or deductibles. I also added that if you take Medicare, you have to take me as a patient. I've been on this many years it's for people who have financial problems. Instead of them calling Medicare, they had me come to the office and wait. Then they sat me in an office in the chair. I hear them whispering in the Next Room about me not paying the 20%. So I yelled, you should have called Medicare like you was supposed to find out. So the doctor comes in to me and says well, I'm going to have to talk to billing, I'm not going to see you today. So they instead of them calling Medicare, they made me come in when I have pain in my foot for nothing. When I questioned them on why they did not call Medicare and waited for me to come in for nothing? Their response was, Medicare doesn't pick up the phone for them. So I left the office very angry picked up the phone in my car right next to their office and spoke to Medicare. I told Medicare what happened. They gave me a phone number to call to complain about doctors committing fraud. It appears that if the doctor bills for the office visit after telling me they were not going to see me, that's considered fraud. He also told me that they're not allowed to turn me away if they accept Medicare . Medicare qmb look it up. That's what the doctor should have done she should have had her office. Should have made a phone call to Medicare or go online and read about Medicare qmb. Legally, they are not allowed to turn someone away if they accept Medicare. it's Medicare the original Medicare PPO with a program for people who have Financial issues. They were nasty they turned me away when I had pain in my foot. There's thousands of podiatrists in the area of Delray Beach Florida I didn't have to go through this. I'm outraged. The doctor comes in and says to me I want the 20%. What is it $20? So I left there in foot pain and didn't get to see a doctor today when I could have made an appointment with any other doctor. Terrible terrible customer service. Awful! do not go to this doctor. And be very careful what she bills.

Wait times are minimal and you are taken to an exam room very quickly. Dr. Sturm is careful and truly an expert in his craft. Thank you for not performing any unnecessary procedures on me. Before I moved to LA, I was at a wedding in South Florida and hurt my ankle during a game of beach…read morefootball. My wife's parents recommended Dr. Lieber so I called up the office and they couldn't have been more helpful. I got lucky and there had been a cancellation (this is a Friday afternoon mind you), and I got an appointment for 3pm. I walked in at 3pm and saw Dr. Lieber no later than 3:01pm (ok, so I had to fill out the necessary forms first, but you get the idea). He was just like his staff - super friendly, super nice, and super informative. He looked at it and explained it was a lateral ankle sprain, and proceeded to wrap the ankle nice and tight and told me to stay off it and keep it elevated the best I could. The next day, the ankle started to heal, but by Sunday, it felt as if nothing happened. The weekend could have been a disaster, Dr. Lieber helped make it a great one. I couldn't be more appreciative of his efforts.
