I was visiting from out of town when I suddenly was not able to put weight on my foot after some extensive travel that flared up my pain to an unbearable level. The Boca Raton Resort doctor on-site recommended this practice and I'm so impressed. A 5-star referral. East Ocean Podiatry were able to get me an emergency visit the next morning and saved my conference / presentation. I had X-rays, a diagnosis, a Rx and a short term treatment (cortisone shot) all on site within 30 min. I also got a recommendation for longer term plan once I get home - along with a flyer to help me remember . Dr. Dorfman gets my highest rating and extreme appreciation for treating me so well. I was treated by Dr. Dorfman for more than a year for a toe nail fungus which had spread to all my toenails on my foot. I had an out of pocket expense for $100 since the laser treatment was not covered by my FL Blue PPO. Upon discussing this at a visit with my dermatologist, Dr. Lucas, I was prescribed Jublia with the prescription being filled by a pharmacy in Tampa. The prescription for Jublia can be costly. My prescription was filled at CLRX pharmacy, (813) 880-2500 for $65 a month. My toenail fungus that was bothersome and had spread for almost 2 years was cleared up in eight months. Dr. Dorfman was selling me treatments that were not effective and I was paying $100 a month for this. I was not informed about Jubila by Dr. Dorfman. I feel he should have mentioned the medication to me even if the out-of-pocket expense was several hundred dollars more a month. read more

I've been battling plantar fasciitis for the past four months. It is been the most painful physical experience of my 50 years. It causes not just physical pain but mental anguish. It effects one's whole life. It effects the ability to live a fulfilling life and have a livelihood. I've not been able to go to the gym which is a place I go to relieve my stress. I've not been able to have quality time with my beloved dog by taking him on nature hikes and walks and that is causing sadness to us both. And the inability to take part in family activities is also depressing . This has been a very painful journey, After doing a tremendous amount of research I learned about something called EPAT or extracorporeal pulse activation treatment. I Learned that the beneficial effects are often experienced after only four treatments. Some patients report immediate pain relief after the first treatment. Just a terrible experience. My wife was completely misdiagnosed for a nail condition. She was treated for a fungus when it was only a nail separation. She has been suffering now for 3 months for no reason. To make matters worse we were charged for medicine and laser treatment for a condition that never was the issue. Stay away. read more

Holy cow, did I feel old walking into this doctors office. It had nothing to do with them - in fact - the office is contemporary, the doctor young and a hunk, the staff pleasant and helpful but everything to do with going to a foot doctor to discuss wear and tear. At my age? Isn't it too soon? I suspect years and years of scrunching my feet into skinny high heels might have had something to do with expediting this visit... Luckily, this practice empathizes with you and makes you almost feel good about being a part of the club. I was in and out by 8:30 - yes am! And still able to get on with my day regularly. Not happy with this dr at all - no masks required- patients are to be trusted that they are vaccinated/ they don't care if you have an underlying health condition - no mask required- says he can prescribe medicine but it probably won't be covered or work- so you have to be his special medicine - parking lot is packed as is the waiting room ! So I f you have an underlying health condition as many seniors do - you are in jeopardy and this dr doesn't care about you! read more

Dr. Dorfman has an ePat machine which over the course of a number of treatments has made a painful foot problem and scar issue melt away with each session. I tried other forms of conservative and surgery, to no avail. After researching an experimental shock wave therapy by NIH, I learned that this is one of the few offices in South Florida that has the actual machine. Besides being one of the most efficient medical offices I've seen, I've never waited more than two minutes, both doctors really know their stuff and are personable. Would highly recommend. read more

I am so happy to have found East Ocean Podiatry! I chose this practice because all of the reviews I read were great. The office is lovely with a bright and cherry atmosphere. The office staff is the best! They know me when I walk in, call me to remind me of my appointments, and they are personable and efficient. Dr. Dorfman is treating me for a toe fungus, plantar faciitis and an arthritic ankle. I have been to other doctors who have done nothing to help me. Under Dr. Dorfman's care I am about 80% better, almost pain free. I think with one or two more visits I will be 100% better. Plantar fasciitis is very painful and I have been treated for over a year. Last year I went to Disney World and could not stand or walk after a day in the park. I went to Dr Dorfman upon returning to Fla. he suggested a few forms of treatment. I chose the electromagnetic treatment, not covered by insurance, but definitely worth the money. I've been a patient of Dr. Dorfman's for over ten years. He's treated me successfully in the past for plantar fasciitis by using his Buck Rogers ray gun. It looked really weird, but it worked and has never returned. I've just been diagnosed with arthritic feet and Dr. Dorfman is trying to make my feet somewhat comfortable. If the current treatment doesn't work, he's threatening to bring out the ray gun again. Can't wait. The bottom line is that he knows what he's doing and gets the job done.
