Bruce's Towing is a GOD SEND! My RV overheated in the middle of the Covid shut down and I had to leave it at the border of CA and OR while I headed back home to shelter in place. They were so flexible in working with me and getting my RV towed to a safe place in Southern OR and even though I was using AAA, they did not require me to be present during the transport which was so helpful during this entire transition. DON- you were great at communicating with me yesterday and I so appreciate the entire staff at Bruce's for getting my RV safely across the border and into OR yesterday to a repair shop. 5 STARS!!! read more

Like Larry P., if I could give a rating lower than a single star I would. The customer-no-service I received from Bruce's Towing last week was certainly not their finest hour. The driver was inept, rude, and wouldn't take the constantly burning cigarette out of his mouth long enough to even discuss options or solutions to what should have been a minor recovery issue. Then, adding insult to injury, the technician left me on the side of the road without even the courtesy of advising me he was giving up. After I finally called him he continued his rude, unprofessionalism and suggested I find someone in Ashland to call, as I was "really in Oregon". (I was not. I'm well aware of where I was and where I live.) Top it all off with the fact I called the office that afternoon and spoke to a woman who identified herself as the owner and manager. I started to relate what happened when we were disconnected. I understand. Things like that happen. But, she knew who I was, certainly had my phone number and the ability to call me back. Instead, I tried four other times that afternoon to reach her. I've been a business owner. I know I would want the opportunity to hear first hand if a consumer was upset. Nope! Not Bruce's Towing. My calls went to voice mail the rest of the day, even though it was at least three hours before typical, traditional business hours ended. Bruce's towing rescued my daughter and I off of Hwy 96, which is really just a regular road that winds through the mountains way above Yreka, CA. They were even willing to come from Yreka 130 miles in the middle of the night in the rain and snow to get us. A rock slid off of the vertical rock face, rolled across the other lane, went under the front of my car & punched a hole in my oil pan & punched a hole in my engine block. There was no way for me to avoid it as I was rounding a sharp curve and didn't see the rock until it was right in front of my car. We were stranded in the dark, in the rain with no cell service. We got picked up by a firefighter and made it to a very small town 20 miles away that had one store that had a land line. Our tow driver was named Quinton (sp?). He knew exactly how to hook up to my car and was pleasant to chat with during our 1.5 hour trip back down the mountain. Thank you Bruce's Towing of Yreka!!! read more

I cannot express how thankful I am! My car died on the side of the highway with both my children in the car at night. The (very nice) AAA person had told me the tow truck folks would probably leave within 5 minutes if my ride had not arrived. I was very worried about that. I received a call from Bruce's towing telling me the eta of his arrival. When I voiced my concerns he was very quick to assure me he would never leave someone stranded like that. The gentleman that came to pick up my car was so nice, so patient and understanding. Even when we had to wait another 15 minutes for my ride to arrive and another 10 minutes to transfer all my luggage and hook up 2 carseats. Drove 15 miles to get cell service to call AAA asking for help: our loaded stock trailer way up dirt road slid off embankment. Cattle out but need tow to winch trailer back up--the AAA rep was on the line as we connected to Bruce's Towing--he explained the situation and she abruptly said, "We don't go off paved roads". (He had told me this was a policy with contracted tow companies and I should be prepared to pay out of pocket, which I was). I started to tell the gal this and she HUNG UP ON US! The AAA rep couldn't believe she'd done that (nor could I) and said he was going to document it (for what that's worth). Luckily I found another local company who responded and got us out but DAMN that gal at Bruce's Towing left a bad taste in my mouth! I would not recomend this towing company at all ! Went over there to see if they had any parts from 1995-02 and imidiatly had a very rude attitude towards me and so I said never mind I'll go somewhere else then as I was walking away he yelled yeah dont ever come back and tell your friends if they are gonna act like babies also tell them not to come here either use to think this was one of the good places to find good used parts but now not so much read more

Don't understand any of the negative reviews.. I was driving from Orange County CA to Tacoma WA and broke down in yreka with truckload of my possessions. On Sunday in yreka not a single mechanic is open and Bruce's is the only tow company available but I'm glad they were because they were great I only needed to be towed about a quarter mile so the driver Donnie who was extremely helpful and funny and polite knocked their 150$ minimum to under half price for me. On Monday when I needed a tow to a shop Donnie got to my truck in under 5 minutes and was just as professional as the first time. If I needed a third tow no doubt I would've called Bruce's again. If your stuck in yreka Bruce's is the company you want to call. Great people work here and own this company and my experience with them couldn't have been easier/better. As to the review below mine yes Juliana some people smoke get over it you self entitled bratty yuppy. I shared a cigarette myself with Donnie who was not in the least bit unprofessional and was nothing but helpful. The owner and his wife in the office are disgusting! I knew something was off when I called to check on my vehicle several hours after being towed and they said they didn't have it. The office lady even said they hadn't towed anything for several days. Once I went to the tow yard - I seen my vehicle on the property. The owner tried to say the vehicle was never registered and had no name on it. What he really meant was - I had left the title in the vehicle, I had not filled it out yet because of recently purchasing it, and he planned on filling it out himself. I caught the owner riffling inside the vehicle the second time I came to the tow yard today.. He must have felt guilty because when I asked what he was doing inside my vehicle he proceeded to yell at me and call me all kinds of names while his weirdo employees laughed. This guy should never be alone around women or children. A straight weirdo and the comments and things he said were so far out of line it was ridiculous. I just wondered why they were so mad that I came to pick up my vehicle? I tried to let the office lady know what the man had said to me and found out he was the owner- he said sexual things and just straight out of line things you would not say to someone coming to your business- the office lady proceeded to say that the owner never said any of those things. Funny she was in the office while it occurred - but apparently she has super sonic radar ears! I guess it would be embarrassing to know the types of things your husband says to other women, not sure what the deal was but apparently the way that the owner talked to me - and letting the office woman know what had occurred made her mad as well and she told me to get outside and wait for the paperwork outside in the rain.. Hum .. cool customer service. While I was heading out of the office several little boys came in and proceeded to tell the office lady that they had searched all the vehicles like she said and found a bunch of money that they kept and 3 cell phones they kept and the rest of the items that were worth anything were put inside a room in the office. I thought it was very sad they had these kids riffling through all these vehicles and keeping items and money. My vehicle was at the facility for less than 24 hours and they charged for 2 days of storage. They also charged a full outrageous tow fee when the vehicle was 2 blocks from the tow yard. $220 for several feet - I don't even believe it was a mile of towing and 80 a day for 2 days storage fee.. this guy said some lewed things to me and is a straight weirdo. Any woman should be 100% cautions around this guy, his workers and apparently his wife because she condones it- she watched what he was doing on the cameras. He even spit at me and then told me to pick it up and I won't even write the exact thing he said to do with it but I'm sure whoever reads this can imagine. He was laughing the whole time. read more

I spun out on Hwy 3 this morning due to the snow and ended up in a ditch. Called Bruce's Towing and Patience, who works in the office, picked right up and was super helpful. I thought I'd be waiting for a while due to the weather, but Steve, the driver, was there to rescue me in about 15 minutes! He pulled the car out and even watched out for traffic while I got back on the road. I am THRILLED with the friendly, fast, and professional service I received from Bruce's Towing. Bruces towing has to be one of, if not the poorest run businesses i have yet to do business with. terribly incompetent employees. Worst of all the owner Scott has the people skills of a skunk(everthing he says has the smell of $#!¥ ) he admitted to having price gouged me( though he said he "should have charged me more!!")when i finally got him on the phone after he lacked the ...uhm... Gumption to call me back after leaving numerous messages. He refused to explain the excessive charge for the tow and claimed i was responsible for him missing other tows, because he got lost lol..... Really a towtruck driving company in operation for 30 years had no idea of the layout in a 20 mile radius from their town of business.... Thats a joke.. No worse its really sad. Anyhow as im sure you have figured out from my "short-winded" post not happy with this sorry excuse of a company..
