I have had several experiences with Songbirds, leaving me feeling very negative…read more I had some beautiful clothes, including designer labels, (Lilly Pulitzer, and other dresses from high end boutiques) and wanted to consign. The first occurrence was stopping by, and being ignored for a long time. When I inquired about consigning, the woman snapped that I needed an appointment to do so. Totally understandable. I called at a later time to set up at appointment, and the woman answering the phone was rude again. She barked about the having a long time before I could get at appt, and the rules about seasonal consigning. Again, fine, I figured she was busy and being direct. I set up appointment for weeks later. At the appointment, I arrived on time, and stood for a long time with an arm load of clothes being ignored. This should have been my sign to leave, but I waited. She sorted through my things, taking most, but making a comment about "Lilly Pulitzer doesn't really sell well, but we will take it." The whole interaction left me feeling very unwelcomed and weird. Again , fine, I was still willing to consign some clothes. When my time came around to pick up money, and the clothes that didn't sell, I arrived at the shop. I again was ignored for a long time. When I stood at the counter, the woman started helping me, then stopped to help another customer, then, a bridal appt. She literally walked off to deal with the appointment, never letting me know she was leaving. Finally another woman helped me, as she had a conversation with a different customer, the entire time. She handed me my money , as she talked to the other person. I collected my money, unsold clothes and left , vowing never to return. The vibe is completely off there, very tense, dark and unwelcoming. The shop even feels crowded, which would be perfect fine, if the staff was welcoming and nice. Prepare to feel like a less than intruder if you do business with them.

I had the best experience both times and I look forward to the many more wonderful experiences I will have there since I purchased by dress there two days ago. I went to Diva's back in April, I am a local and am getting married in July 2017 and I chose Diva's for convenience. I had been dress shopping one other time and it was horrible, but a good starting place I suppose. When I decided to go again in April 2016 was when I had my sister in town, and with Diva's being right down the road, I figured "why not?" I was hesitant to go and just look knowing that I wouldn't walk out with a dress that day, I thought they would pressure me into something. I spent 2 hours there the first time with Mariya and my sister (and one of my niece's) and found 4 amazingly beautiful dresses. I told Mariya that I wasn't ready to walk out with a dress that day and she respected that and said "I'll save the 4 dresses that you loved on your file if you ever want to come back." There's a deal they have if you buy your dress the day of your first appointment (and it is a great deal) but there was no pressure to commit. Throughout the process Mariya offered amazing advice, and pulled beautiful gowns, all in my price range. I showed her pictures on Pinterest and to my surprise and delight, they had some of the exact ones I pinned! Fast forward to July 2016, my family was all in town and my mom needed to see the dresses that I fell in love with so we went this past Saturday - my mom, sister and both nieces this time (9 yrs and 2.5 yrs). I tried on all 4 dresses again, narrowed down to 2, and showed Mariya a few more I had found. She pulled additional dresses for me, all the while catering to my sister, mom and entertaining my 2 nieces. The entire staff was so gracious at the circus we created at 10am in the morning in a beautiful, almost too pretty to touch store. The last dress, Mariya told me was out of my budget range but she pulled it because it wasn't too far off and it matched one I had pinned. My eyes lit up when I saw it, then they watered as soon as I put it on. It was the last dress of the day that I tried on, not one of the originals, and the first one that I cried in - so I knew it was the one. Mariya did it! She picked the perfect dress, she was so patient with me, offered her amazing advice and then a tissue when she found the perfect one (even offering an apology for pulling one out of my range which she said she would never do but she couldn't resist how perfect this one was for me). And she was so right. I can't say enough nice things about Mariya and the staff at Diva's. They were all so helpful, amazing, and supportive. For all the negative reviews, I am sorry they had a bad experience because now having gone twice, I'm looking forward to going back when my dress comes in and then the subsequent fittings! Thank you so much Mariya and the entire Diva's staff! I couldn't be more thrilled to have found the perfect dress and cannot wait until next July when I get to put it on!

Not only did they have the best selection of dresses outside of the internet, the women working there were amazing. The boutique is beautiful and the customer service was amazing. We were welcomed and helped with kindness. The only reason I didn't buy my dress today, was that I hadn't planned on finding the perfect dress today. They were understanding and gracious. I'm looking forward to getting my dress from them and anything else I ever need for special events.

The parking lot and overflow were full and when we walked in it was very overwhelming with us being used to being helped right away and having an assigned person to help. Laci (I believe ) helped us at the beginning as we looked lost and overwhelmed then Ally took over and we had her full and undivided attention. Thankfully. She was very knowledgeable in fitting my son with his correct size, gave her opinion on best color to match his dates dress etc she answered all the questions we had and we felt at ease being there and having her help us. The suit side was tame compared to the dress side. We ended up buying a whole suit, vest, white shirt, 2 ties (we couldn't decide on the color) and 2 pocket chiefs. All for $275 which is less than what we paid to rent at MW. And my son will have this suit until he outgrows it. Perfect for upcoming clubs and interviews his senior year next year. Buying - This location is a smaller store compared to Greensboro where I use to shop. Items are…read moreeasy to find and I like the fact that it is not overwhelming when you walk in. They also have a great selection of name brand clothing and all types. However; I assume just recently they established a new policy and you are not allowed to bring in your purse into the fitting room. I have NEVER heard of any store doing this. I typically shop alone and did not feel comfortable leaving my purse on the back on the fitting room door or leaving it behind the counter as I did not have anyone to hold my purse. They will allow you to take your wallet and any valuable items into the room with you. This was a HUGE inconvenience and I will most likely leave my purse in the car next time I shop here. Selling - They are extremely picky. Go to Battleground to sell!! I brought in a couple bags of nice gently used name brand clothing. H&M and Abercrombie are the 2 stores I frequently shop at. They did not take anything, not one item. One of the associates said my clothing was not in style! Ok?! The next day I drove to Battlegound Plato s and they gladly took a couple shirts, H&M dresses, sweaters, etc and paid me $62 on the spot. They are super friendly too. I won t waste my time selling here again.
