Chocolate in a ton of different ways made in a small local shop that's been around for over 100 years ok like whoa I mean you already had me at chocolate! Chocolate is something that I seek out as you can never have too much of a good thing and with this many varieties you soo know that this small DIY shop is doing it right in soo many different ways. It wasn't until I stepped foot in the door that I saw just how mind blowing this shop was as soon as I stepped in I saw the giant chocolate Santa statue like this thing was huge! After that craziness I strolled around a bit more looking at all the delicious looking chocolate goodies of just sooo many varieties and shapes that it was time to pick my poison so I ended up with a box of butter toffee and some other random chocolates from the display case which was full of choices making it hard to pick just one! Overall this is an awesome spot to grab some delicious chocolate yummies a word of advice though make sure to prepare your taste buds because the chocolate here is delicious you'll notice that as soon as you step in the door and you get that whiff of yummy chocolate scrumptiousness!

Stopped here during an outing in Vermillion. It's a small shop, but everything is cute and delicious. They had items for kids and adults. They had milk and dark chocolate as well as sugar free.we will definitely be back!

Hi Brummer's, you're cute. It's pretty cool that a small town like Vermilion has an independent chocolatier, let alone one that's been in business since 1904. They clearly do something right. Located on Vermilion's idyllic Main Street, a stop into Brummer's is a no-brainer when you're perusing the darling local shops in this area. We always stop in when we're here. Their chocolate has a very distinctive quality to it. It's almost more...milky tasting to me, which I like. When i take a bite of Brummer's chocolates, I can tell its Brummer's. When you walk in, it can be a bit of sensory overload, because they carry quite a bit of "chain" candy that kids will LOVE. Think jelly beans, M&Ms and other trendy sugary candies that kids can pull levers on to fill bags, etc. If you're looking for chocolate, head straight to the back. Towards the back of the shop, you'll find the chocolate. I've gifted the peanut brittle and sea salt caramels to friends before and they've ADORED them. I'm a big fan of their molded chocolates, which also makes excellent gifts. They have everything from sailboats to the A Christmas Story leg. They are good old fashioned fun. But again, don't leave without buying something for yourself. I would suggest the fresh truffles behind the counter! Happy to see this business still thriving after 100 years. You won't regret supporting them!

Many, many chocolates and sweets to choose from. Great place to stop as you're strolling through Vermilion.

What a great candy shop. The smell of fresh chocolate and pleasant people working here made this place very welcoming. You can't pass up the M&M station even with fresh chocolate. The chocolate covered Oreo and pretzel rods were amazing. The peanut butter and chocolate fudge was homemade and melted in your mouth. Other fun candies here and a wine selection in the back. Great place to stop!

I was a bit disappointed this time around. I ordered white chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's Day. The price wasn't bad, 18.95 for a pound. Completely excited. Until I got them home. The end if most of the strawberries was nearly white. As a result, the flavor was weak, with them being unripe. I always had access to a local Shari's Berries in CA. This is the first time purchasing back here in Ohio. I'll keep looking. Maybe some place will make them right. With premium berries, rather than unripened midget berries.

They have several different candy dispensers that let you choose the colors/flavors you want.

Wow. I figured it would be fun for the kid, and of course have interesting pop. But we walked in…read moreand were greeted with toys and candy and ice cream and games and figures and much more. And pop. Ended up with some candy and ice cream. I got the Lake Erie Cookie Monster, which had chunks of cookie dough, etc., in it and was tinted blue. Fun and refreshing. Kid K liked her vanilla. Service was great. Prices are fair. The place is cool. Free city parking across the street. Wish we had this in my town; combine Rocket Fizz and a local toy store and a small ice cream shop, and you'd get close.

Botton Line: Soda Pop's kicks major ass…read more Why? Here's why: 1. Great location: It's located on W Water Street, just WSW of Columbus avenue...it's right in heart of (resurgent) downtown Sandusky. 2. Sweets: They have a very nice selection of olde tyme candy. You'll find the likes of Abba-Zabba, Goo Goo Cluster, Chick-o-Sticks, wax mustaches/lips/fangs, etc. Obviously, they have newer brands, as well. 3. Drinks: They have a superior selection of "craft" pop, including diet Dang, the best diet pop in the world. Also, I saw Ale 8, Moxie, Cheerwine, about 75 varieties of Root beer, and a bunch more pop. 4. They have ice cream floats (can't vouch for these...yet). ...best of all... 5. The back room: It's part pop culture museum (from the 50s to the 2000s) and part flea market. Need a poster of Wonder Woman (either Lynda or Gal), John Wayne, Arnold, or Magic Johnson? Get it here. Desire to posses the Gorf cartridge or Activision Football cartridge for your Atari 2600? You're covered. Want that Fat Albert board game that you've been missing since 1973? You're in luck. There are TONS of things to check out and, if you choose, to buy. I bought a couple of books that I had as a kid and haven't seen since the 80s...("The Encyclopedia of Hostile Aliens," and "Earth's Greatest Interstellar Battles"). 6. Video Games: This is especially cool...in the back room, you'll find a MultiGame machine that's in great condition. 55 games...1 quarter per play. Come in on Friday and you'll find that it's set on "free play." Yep. I don't know about you, but the next time I'm in Sandusky, with or without the kids, drunk or sober, naked or fully clothed, I'm stopping at Soda Pop's, and ain't nobody stoppin' me! FIVE STARS!
