In the midst of brewery hopping we needed a little sustenance. Chefrey's Cheesesteaks was parked on…read morethe New Belgium grounds, which we quickly spotted to place an order. Known for their cheesesteaks and loaded fries, I opted for an order of the Andy Chuck's Steak Tots which featured seasoned grilled steak, peppers, onions stacked on top of 1/2 lb of tots (fries or chips are also available) smothered with melted cheese. What's not to love? After discovering they were out of fries and tots, we settle on the same order, but over chips. What I did not expect was tortilla chips, creating more of a cheesesteak nachos style, but the chips made for a good crunch and not the typical soggy mess that tends to happen with smothered fries or tots. I was a little disappointed in the steak and cheese though, as the steak was chopped fine with the consistency of ground beef and the cheese wasn't freshly melted cheese, but more of a queso base cheese. Portion was pretty small for $12, but gave us just the amount of light sustenance we needed before making our way to another brewery. When stumbling upon this truck again, I think I'll stick to trying one of their sandwiches.

It is a fairly noisy place so I feel the upstairs was a little quieter and I was glad not to have been seated in one of several booths near the entrance with so many people standing and waiting on seating. Our server was nice and attentive, and the food came out rather quickly. I had an pleasant DC Oakes IPA and the Bomb Diggity hamburger with sweet potato fries. The burger was very tasty (a fat bomb) and with the fries was a substantial amount of food - I was only able to eat about half of it all. However, that burger had to be the saltiest burger I've ever eaten. Curious, I went to the DC Oakes website to find nutritional information about my meal and there is no nutritional information. A third-party website (Marcos.menu) offered the following on the Bomb Diggity: Calories: 1200; Protein: 50g; Carbs: 55g; Fat: 85g. Nothing about sodium. My wife is on a sodium-restricted diet and she knows not to order anything like this burger. But still, nutritional information would be nice to know. When do you plan on putting this information on your menu for your customers? I will return to sample more of their beer and food selections.

I wanted to like this place, but the overall experience fell short…read more Food-wise, it's just okay. I ordered a cheese slice, and it wasn't anything memorable. The flavor was very bland-- mostly just tomato sauce and cheese without much depth-- and the crust was overly doughy, almost undercooked. The bigger issue was the service and overall operation. They're listed as opening at 11 AM, but when I arrived with another customer, the doors didn't even open until 11:10 AM. Even then, they clearly weren't ready to be open. There were no slices available, and it didn't feel like they were anywhere close to being prepared for customers. The atmosphere didn't help either. The interaction felt somewhat rude and dismissive, with a lot of excuses instead of solutions. There is a sign stating "no public restrooms," which I initially didn't realize also applied to paying customers. During my visit, two different people came in asking to use the restroom-- want to use it in another just to wash their hands-- and both were returned away. After the second request, the employee put "out of order" signs on both of the restroom doors, which felt misleading. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and underwhelming. The food is mediocre, and the service doesn't make up for it.

The most fun, awesome restaurant & special museum experience rolled up in 1!!…read more 1st, their pizza is delicious & extremely satisfying with fresh, lively toppings & different wonderful sauces such as traditional red, creamy garlic, pesto, & so, on; I've only tried their red & creamy garlic so far & they taste great! Fantastic crust & dough, as well. All the appetizers I've haf, such as the garlic parmesan fries & the waffle fires, are tasty & hit the spot. The garden salad is delicious, too! I've had the ranch & the blue cheese dressings & they both are full of flavor, really rich & satisfying; the vegetables are all fresh & tasty. As for dessert, the movie night ice cream sundae & the Ghostbuster mint chip milkshake were wonderful - sweet, creamy, & delicious. The quality of those desserts is well worth the price. Now, for the atmosphere & environment! That is what is truly special & distinctive about this establishment - it is a real bonafide 1980s museum - no joke! It is absolutely jam-packed with tons of delightful, rare, & in some cases, 1 of a kind, memorabilia, sundry vintage retro products, actual movie props & costumes, real signed studio portraits by some of the biggest & most iconic celebrities of the 80s, & tons more artifacts such as posters, advertisements, arcade games, book covers, & so forth. And the soundtrack is absolutely on fire! The fantastic visual overload, including the attractive 80s graphic design elements such as neon colors, vintage typography & signage, & furnishings, is perfectly accompanied by constant back-to-back 80s songs! They are played with their music videos on all the TV screens in every corner of the dining area including a huge flat screen on 1 of the walls! Such fun, memorable, iconographic 80s music videos & they are occasionally punctuated with classic 80s TV commercials, including a political ad by President Reagan, & TV show opening credits sequences with the famous theme songs, such as Family Matters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, She-Ra, Knight Rider, & other great ones! The lighting is perfect, with 80s neon colored lights, that give it the feel of an 80s dance club - so much fun style & atmosphere! I've visited & eat here about 14 times & each experience has been satisfying & a blast - both the food & the nostalgic & joyful party experience of being in their 1 of a kind museum! The staff are also friendly & helpful; they always make sure everything is just the way I want it. I can't recommend Totally 80s Pizza enough. It is must-see, must-visit destination for both tourists passing through Fort Collins & for locals who want a reliable restaurant & entertainment attraction that always delivers delicious food & fun times!!
