I had the "Figgy Stardust" which is a grilled (very thin sliced, like philly style) steak with caramelized onion, fig jam, blue cheese crumbles and baby arugula sub sandwich. The bread was like a softer. crustier, and flaskier baguette. It was very good, and the food held up well on it without getting soggy. For $12.00 USD. No chips, pickles, sides of any kind, just wrapped in foil and handed over. The downside, besides there being no sides for that price, was the price and the wait time. It took 20 minutes from ordering to serving. How do they stay in business? I (luckily) still had 10 minutes left for lunch, but I used that time to walk to the food truck and back. As I said, it was delicious. I'd pay the $12 again, but think it should come with a side of potato salad or macaroni, or pickle -- something! In fact, a pickle to cut the richness would be great. :)

I have only had the Fresh Prince (aka a Philly cheesesteak) and it was delicious- the bread was high quality and the steak was tender and cooked very well. I think that the horseradish made the sandwich- it added flavor and moisture and was probably the thing that differentiated this sandwich from all the other cheesesteaks I have had. The only qualm I have is the price, which is $10 for a sandwich. Not great on the value scale but still excellent flavors.

And I found the flavor to be lacking. My husband's sandwich was also lacking in the flavor department. The apple fritters were great though. Would I eat here again? Sure, if I did not have any other options.

I think room temp would have been ok, but it was a shock to bite into something that cold. Like I said, large chunks of meat, but overall such a small roll that tasted ok. While my husband said the brat was good, again, just so sadly small and IMO grossly under portioned, especially when I think of what we could have had elsewhere for the about same amount of money. This is a food truck located at the Lumpy Ridge Brewing Company, at least on Sundays. Google does…read morenot give the correct directions - when we followed them, we ended up in a random parking lot a block over. I recommend setting the GPS to the brewery rather than the truck. When we visited on Sunday after hiking at RMNP for the morning, there wasn't much of a crowd here. We ordered and the the food only took about 8 minutes to arrive. Meeker Margherita ($21) - Perfectly cooked crust in this pizza. The cornicione in particular is expertly risen and cooked, giving plenty of charred bubbles and the perfect chewiness. The undercarriage, while floppy, isn't soggy at all. It hold up very well to the ingredients on top. The crust is first slathered sparingly with tomato sauce. The sauce is reduced quite a bit and tastes almost like a concentrated tomato paste. They don't use a lot so it doesn't soak into the crust at all. On top, there's a couple of pieces of basil giving a very noticeably fresh aroma. There's plenty of melted mozzarella cheese, which seem to be of the pearl variety, mild tasting and stretchy. They apparently also drizzle some EVOO, although there's no particular peppery or fruity notes, or heck any real olive oil flavor at all. With how well all the other ingredients worked together, the olive oil is very disappointing. Still, it's a very well constructed pizza. (5/5) Panorama Peak ($23) - Again, this pizza has the perfect crust. Instead of tomato sauce, it's slathered with ricotta cheese, making the pizza very rich and creamy. More melted mozzarella on top of that for even more fatty richness, then pieces of proscuitto, chewy and salty. The meat isn't sliced that well so it's messy to eat. They then essentially cover the pizza with an arugula, tomato, and shaved parmesan salad. The arugula is super peppery and bitter, the tomatoes are fresh and sweet, and the parmesan adds more saltiness. The main sources of salt are the parmesan and the proscuitto. Neither are added in large enough quantities to make the pie overly salty. Mixed in the with the arugula are a couple of stems of cilantro for some reason. Nothing on the menu actually uses cilantro so I'm a bit confused where it comes from. It's essentially a salad on pizza dough so everything falls off the crust very easily making it messy to eat. (4/5) I'm very impressed with the food served at Mangia Mangia. I didn't expect to find such great pizza in a small touristy mountain town. I'll be back next time I'm in the area! However: 1. they could…read morenot keep up with the demand - people were standing in the rain for 15 + minutes waiting as fresh 12" pizzas came out 3 at a time. 2. they ran out of salad (said they had prepared for 125 - but people were eating healthy... bottom line, you be prepared, just don't "run out")... 3. also ran out of plates (they had 150 - but if 100 people each use another plate when they come back for another slice...do the math). 4. there was a mandatory 25% gratuity, and if that was not enough, they charged the gratuity on the sales tax! Bottom line - great pizza, I would pay $20+ for a pizza from them as a food truck, but over $5000 for what we got was excessive.
