Finally got tired of it, and Brunner was recommended by Lakeside Chevrolet of Rockwall, Texas. Fantastic job on the complete headliner replacement!!! And, Mr. Brunner himself did a spot repair job on a plastic molding, that was not on original work order! Thank you, sir. Mr. Brunner explained this liner has extended edges, tucked up around the edges, so it won't pop loose like the original did. (see my photos) And no fumes at all, no odd smells. We have an old 2006 Scion xB with an aftermarket, faulty sunroof. We were over the leaking, creaking sunroof and just wanted it sealed shut. After calling around I was referred to Brunner Trim and Glass. I called on Thursday mid-day and spoke with Todd. He was kind, professional and knowledgeable. He said we could bring it by in the afternoon, he would park it inside overnight and we could come by the next day to pick it up. The price was more than fair (never felt taken advantage of, or upsold.) The work was done in less than 24hrs, the quality of work was great, the guys were friendly. The frame on my 2005 Mustang convertible broke. I considered buying a new Mustang so I went to look at them. I HATE them. (Also, you cannot shut off the lights while driving during the daytime. I hate that too.) My Mustang is in excellent condition so I decided I would keep it. After much investigating, I decided that I would try Brunner Trim & Glass. I'm so glad that I did. These people know their trade very well. This is a large trim shop, they probably have room for about 20 cars in their shop. While there, I noticed transport vehicles dropping off cars for work from other states! Even car dealerships take cars there for trim work. Every situation is different, sometimes factory replacement parts can be purchased, other times they're not available and a trim shop has to fabricate a part in house. Fortunately, in my case they were able to obtain factory replacement parts. I couldn't be happier with the finished job. The price seemed fair. Over the course of the repair, I talked to five or six different people at Brunner Trim & Glass, all of them were kind, courteous and professional. When I need trim work in the future there will be no shopping around for me, my car will go straight to Brunner Trim & Glass. read more

I brought my car here after another company (on Lindbergh Drive) totally screwed up a brand new convertible top that I purchased for my car. The other shop (Texas Trim) cut important straps, used the wrong fasteners, broke critical parts, left loose fasteners in the ceiling panels, misaligned weatherstripping, left the rear glass window unsecured to the frame and generally did everything wrong that could be done wrong. The guys at Brunner's (WHERE I SHOULD HAVE GONE IN THE FIRST PLACE!) took in my car, fixed all the problems, fabricated the parts that the other shop broke (and were no longer available) and even fixed a few issues that weren't "top related". Lesson learned - GO TO BRUNNER'S FIRST. Let them look at your issue and tell you how they will fix it for you. By the way - they were extremely fair on the cost to repair. They could have charged me one heckuva stupid tax - and I would have deserved it. read more

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go to Brunner's! I took my classic car to them to replace my interior and they said no problem. After 1.5 years of horrendous communication and false promises, I had to pick up my car. Not only had they done almost nothing that they said they were going to do, they damaged other pieces of the car. Their Communication and Customer Service are HORRIBLE!! Icing on the cake was when I picked up the car. When I went to pick it up Henry Brunner was still at lunch so one of the other workers pulled my car around for me. We discussed me driving my classic car home and leaving my other car at the shop and that I'd be back in a few to talk with Henry about what I owed. My decision is still out on Brunner. this is the "never-ending story" at this point. My 76 Eldo Bicentennial was put in for a new top back in Nov. I was not personally involved: it was a favor by my biz partner, who was doing a new top and Paint Job as a gift. I have owned this car for 33 years. I was the second owner, when the original owner doctor got his new one, in '80, when I bought it. Butch & staff replaced the top; It looked beautiful. My partner picked it up and took to hislot, where he secures his buses & limos, where it sat for about 4 months, while we awaited some parts to rebuild the power steering & brake systems. I saw it daily, and know it was not driven. After the brakes and power steering were fixed, it went to the paint shop. Bottom line, I finally got the car back on July 1. On July 4, I attempted to put the top down for the first time, and it jammed half-way down. I took it back to Butch on July 9th, and left it with him. Butch insisted on pointing out to me all the things that had been done improperly,and pointed out that there was hole in the new top, I told him that HIS SHOP was who installed it!!!! He went on to insist that the car had been wrecked, the rear window (when it came in for the new top) was after-market plastic, frame parts were missing, etc, etc, etc. This was the first time I had met him, so I explained that NO, the car has NEVER been wrecked. It had the ORIGINAL top and rear window on it when it came in last November. I am the 2nd owner, have owned it for 33 years, and the top functioned PERFECTLY when it came into his shop last November. He took it in begrudgingly, and had it until they called me yesterday (July 18) to say it was ready to pick up. I drove 65 miles to get it, and WHEN I GOT THERE, I asked Butch to put the top down, just to "make sure" it's fixed. It jammed in the same place. We went around and around AGAIN, with him insisting that the top had been wrecked, it had after-market parts when it originally came in, etc, etc, etc. I got my partner on the phone with him, and we both told him the top had been fine before his guys replaced it. Butch insisted (still) that it's not his fault, that it must not have worked when we brought it in, etc. He showed me where two bolts had been loosened and re-tightened on each side of the convertible frame. NO CONTEST. He showed me with a flashlight, and I agreed---- It is clear upon inspection that they have been loosened, and the entire frame has been moved forward about 1/2 inch from the very clear old position. They have clearly been loosened and re-tightened, but by WHOM? I certainly didn't do it! I reasonably think that perhaps one of his technicians loosened and moved them when they were installing the new top, and simply did not adjust the frame properly when they finished. Butch went into DEFENSE overdrive, telling me he's "been doing this since 1955, and he's never loosened a frame, etc, etc, etc". That's fine. but he''s got a whole bunch of people working in the shop, and I believe that one of his techs may have, out of inexperience, loosened them. Butch INSISTS that they test the top after installing to make sure that it works properly, but in this case, NO ONE REMEMBERS SPECIFICALLY DOING IT. Butch also pointed out to me when I brought it back that 'IT IS MISSING THE SEAL AT THE TOP OF THE FRAME WHERE IT sits DOWN ON THE WINDSHIELD FRAME". I explained to him that if the seal is missing, it's because HIS TECHS DID NOT INSTALL IT. He became very defensive, and again insisted that he's been doing this since 1955, and he would NEVER let a car out without the seal. This is all I know: The top was NOT down since it left his shop; I tried to put it down July 4th. and it didn't work. I took it back to him July 9th. His clerk called July 18; said "come & get it". July 18--STILL NOT WORKING. It cost me ANOTHER $340 to have it NOT WORK. Butch said he was "very uncomfortable messing with the adjustment screws", because "he didn't know what would happen". He again insisted that he is "the best in DFW", and all the Caddy dealers send their stuff to him. So AGAIN I asked him to try to "adjust" the frame where he had showed me that the screws had clearly been loosened and moved....it was clear that the frame had been moved forward about 1/2 inch. He has the car now. His intent is to call in a friend with a similar convertible caddy, and check the position of the screws on the other car, and compare. All I know is---we're out nearly $4000, for a top that used to work, but now doesn't work. The new TOP looks very nice in the up position, but it needs to go down, or what's the point of a convertible????? TO BE CONTINUED...... read more

Got a convertible top replaced on my classic Cadillac. When I went in to get an estimate, Butch told me it would be $1500-1600 to get it replaced and it should take 2 days. Expensive? Sure, but I wanted it done right and by the looks of the other cars in their garage, this was the place to go. So I drop it off. 3 days later I give them a call just to get a status update. I'm not in any big hurry, just curious what the ETA is. They say it will take 3 extra days because they had to order some new tension cables. I'm thinking no problem, those things are only $40-$50 and what's a few more days? No big deal skip forward a few days and calls by me. The delivery eventually gets pushed to a Monday, which is 2 weeks since I dropped it off. Again, no big deal, I'm in no rush. I go to pick it up and the final tally is over $1900! They said the original price quoted was just for the top installation and didn't cover the tension cables and pads they had to install. From what I can find, those 2 extra parts run about $100. Honestly, I'm not so upset about it costing $1900. I just feel if your cost is going to be 25% higher than quoted, you should give the customer a heads up somewhere along the way. They never once called me. I always had to call them to get updates, even when it was completed. Bottom line: The work they did is great. The customer service? Not so much. ***Update*** So, after lodging my complaints with Henry, the next day they called me back and said they overcharged me by $200. I've adjusted my review from 2 to 3 stars. Still shows a degree of unprofessionalism, but at least they made it right. read more

My 2008 GT 500 had interior door panels that couldn't compete with the Texas heat. I called a few Ford dealers to see who they would recommend or if I should buy new panels. Brunner kept getting recommended. I called Brunner and they told me they had seen this problem in many Mustangs of this vintage and that is was an easy fix as long as I had not tried to re-glue it myself. Luckily, I had not. When I brought it they gave me a quote and said they could do the job right away if I could wait. The price was very reasonable. The work was done in under two hours. Six months later the doors look as good as when they rolled off the factory floor. Friendly people too. Highly recommend. read more

I called Brunner Trim and Glass because I had researched and found that my G37S' sport seats had metal thigh bolsters in the seat that were causing me a lot of discomfort. I spoke with both Henry and Butch and they assured me that they had done similar repairs with a few Porsches and even and Aston Martin. I asked them to remove the metal rods in the bolsters and then firm up the side pads with foam which they did. The seat still looks completely new and original and the work was done the same day. I did have to call to find out that the work was completed as they did not call and tell me to come pick up my car. But that is not a big deal in my opinion. The work they did was first rate and the price was very fair for the amount of work that needed to be done. (removing the seat from the car, removing the electric base with the electronics, pulling up the leather of the cushion and then removing the metal bolsters from both sides and putting it all back together). I have never written a negative review, but I feel I need to this time. I brought my 1999 Range Rover in for a list of about 10 items. I've been redoing it for the past 7 years and it's been a labor of love. I met with Henry (I believe the owner) and showed him the list of things I needed done. I asked him to give me a call with the estimate. After 8 days I called to see if they had gotten an estimate. I was told the work was completed and it would be $974.00. Um okay. So I went to pick it up. The work looked good, except for a small hole on my door panel where they did some upholstery work. I was going to bring it to their attention but thought it wasn't worth it. As I was getting in my car my knees hit a panel under my steering wheel that had fallen. I figured it was just something they forgot to screw back in so I went inside to speak with Henry. He immediately said we didn't do that. I was thinking, okay, well someone did it. I just want to get it fixed. Remember, I had a list of 10 things, I would have obviously, had this on the list to be fixed. Anyway, he sends one of his guys out to look at it, as he's bending down to look at it, i bend down too and notice all the screw holes have been completely busted out, like someone tried to rip it out! I said, whoa. Someone must have tried to break into my car. He said "the cars are always put inside at night" I said, I understand, but this definitely was not broken before I bought it in. He says "I don't need to deal with this today" and walks off. I look at my buddy who was with me in disbelief. Then Henry's comes out. I was about to tell him, I'm not sure what happened. I can get this part and not to worry about it. I just wanted to bring it to his attention in case it was broken into or if one of his staff were careless. He interrupts me, looks into the car for maybe 3 seconds and says "this is old damage, you can tell by the age of the plastic" What? Really? Oh what about the broken plastic on the floor mat? He looks and me and says "I'm done talking to you" and walks off. Honestly, I was in utter disbelief. I looked online and found the panel I needed for $125.00. Again, I honestly wasn't expecting him to pay for anything. I just wanted him take a little responsibility or at least say he would look into it. Took my Mercedes in to have them "adjust the convertible top". It was working fine, just got stuck a little when opening. They said they could do it but after waiting 10 days, I go pick it up because they say they don't have the software needed to adjust a Mercedes (should have said that upfront). When I got it back they actually left the top inoperable and down but not locked in. It ended up costing me me $450 at the dealer to get it reset and working again. Still gets stuck a little when opening and the dealer explained the cables need to be replaced. They also re-glued some fabric on my door speakers and that turned out well, but I would not take a Mercedes there for any convertible work. read more
