She makes sure to explain everything that needs to be done and why. She's makes sure that you understand what the next steps are for your mouth care. She's an amazing dentist and I'm super happy she is mine. The office is clean and there are numerous chairs to sit on and fill out paperwork if need be. The office is also very clean and organized. The dental receptionist, dental technicians and everyone there is nice and polite. Raphael the Registered Dental Hygenist (I think that's his title) is personable, polite, nice and gentle (even with my deep cleanings and all my after cleanses.) He explains what he is doing, why and what has to happen during the visit and there after. His movements are gentle and he lets you know what else needs to be done and when. He also lets you know if you're doing a great job with your care. He is amazing and he also works at both the Santa Ana office on Tustin and the Tustin office on Hope.

This level of communication is unacceptable, particularly when it involves patients' health and well-being, and it reflects very poorly on the office's professionalism and care.

Turn right INTO the first driveway you see which has a banner that says "HURTT FAMILY HEALTH CLINIC ------". Pull into that driveway and park, go up to the gate and press the button and someone will buzz you in. Walk straight ahead, towards the middle go all the way down the hallway and make a right and you are there. Michelle and Martha the medical assistants are always helpful and polite. The office has a lot of chairs and it's nice and clean. There's also a padded play section in the corner with some books, toys and things for the little littles. Rafael the RDH (registered dental hygienist) does such and amazing job at deep cleanings and perio-maintenance. He is super thorough and explaines everything he is doing and lets you know what else has to be done to maintain a healthy smile. Rocio my dental technician was super nice she took my blood pressure (which is always higher than normal when I have appts anywhere especially at the dentist office.) I was getting fitted for some implants and she needed to do some initial impressions (molds) which she did a great job at letting me know which impression would work or not. She was very gentle and let me know exactly what she was going to do before it happened. She made me feel less anxious through the whole process. And they give you orange stuff on a little pad thing to clean off the excess plaster off yourself. In my case i used it to clean off the area around my mouth but hahahahahah that stuff was allllllllll over my face! YIKES!!!! I have to go back for some more fittings and things but so far so good.

There was a lady in the front that had an attitude and was not positive which affected the experience however, Jose really went above and beyond. He helped push my wheelchair and even brought in a boot and called other clinics to see if they would be able to take my insurance. Unfortunately they do not have imaging at this urgent care so if anyone has laceration issues, do not come here. I felt really cared by Jose and he went above and beyond for the service. It really made the experience bearable since I do not like hospital settings.

I would like to share my experience because I was very disappointed with the way I was treated at…read morethis urgent care. If the facility stops accepting patients before the posted closing time, that information should be clearly communicated. The hours appeared to indicate that the facility was open until 8:00 PM, but I was told they close at 7:30 PM and were no longer accepting patients. When I walked in, there were two women at the front desk. One did not acknowledge me, while the other looked at me in a very unwelcoming manner and, in a rude tone, simply told me, "Come back tomorrow. We open at 8." I completely understand that staff may have policies regarding when they stop accepting patients, and I have no issue with being told that the facility is closed or no longer accepting patients. However, there is a respectful and professional way to communicate that to patients. Something as simple as, "I'm sorry, we are no longer accepting patients for tonight. We close at 7:30 PM. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we would be happy to see you tomorrow when we reopen at 8:00 AM," would have made a huge difference. Patients come to urgent care because they need help, and they should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. I hope the owner or management sees this feedback and takes the time to address how patients are being greeted and treated at the front desk. Better communication and customer service would make a significant difference.

I also brought my mother down from Northern California due to her Alzheimer's s in order to see him. Due to the Alzheimer's disease my mother was paranoid, scared, agitated and did not want to go to the doctors. Dr Zand was amazing with her. He was so compassionate. I had no idea how that doctor's visit was going to go (because of the Alzheimer's my normally very well-behaved mother had been making terrible scenes at her previous doctor). Dr Zand began by just talking to her about things she used to do as a teenager, sports she liked to do, Seattle (where she grew up) and completely put her at ease. This was so different then the other doctors who immediately gave her the Mini-Mental State exam, which scared her (at some level she understood her cognitive decline and didn't want a test to prove it). Dr Zand understood this and was able to thoroughly assess her while keeping her calm. Once again I would highly recommend Dr Zand and his staff. The staff is very professional and well organized to help navigate any recommended referrals.

Even after months of getting the same medication and with the same insurance, they still submit my prior authorization to the wrong place and cause me to have to wait for weeks with no update and no medication. I had to call my insurance myself on multiple instances and they were the ones to tell me the wrong forms we submitted. No accountability from the office or their staff, nor an apology.

They often seem more interested in chatting and giggling with each other than acknowledging patients. During our last visit, one employee was training a new hire, and instead of speaking to us directly, she kept saying things like, "Ask them if they..." while standing right in front of us. It came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Another ongoing issue is communication. No matter the situation, I can never seem to get a call back. It's frustrating.
