I thought the exhaust system had been replaced not too long ago, so went through the records for this car and located a bill documenting $1,375 spent for an "entire exhaust system" 4 years ago at their shop. I took a look under the car yesterday and found that the pipe to the rear muffler was so rusted that it broke apart completely so the rear muffler was not attached to the rest of the exhaust system!!! There is absolutely no way a brand new exhaust system could have become so completely rusted that it would fall apart after only 4 years. I am furious that my son was ripped off by these crooks and we will never spend another penny there again!!!

I had made an appointment for an oil change using a VALID coupon that was advertised on their website and Facebook. When I arrived, I was told they would not honor the valid advertised price because their website hadn't been updated, and they wanted to charge me an additional $20. I was trying to explain in a calm manner why this VIOLATES federal laws like the Federal Trade Commission Act. I was truly shocked that a small business like this was so unaware of basic business practices. When I questioned why I should have to pay more because of an error on their website, the conversation turned into a heated argument. I explained that customers shouldn't be penalized for a business's failure to update its advertised pricing. I asked to speak to the owner and instead a male employee came out to yell at me when I attempted to explain how this could be misconstrued as a Bait & Switch tactic. They eventually agreed to honor the coupon, but then told me to "never come back." After years of being a loyal customer and referring friends and family, I found the entire experience horrific and unprofessional. Businesses make mistakes, but how they handle those mistakes--and how they treat loyal customers--matters. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can no longer recommend A & R Auto, BUYER BEWARE
