I have used A&R Alignment over the last few years and they are a very professional, honest and friendly shop. I have found that some shops will nit pick things during the state inspection. One shop came out an told me my steering pump was 'seeping fluid'. I said this is a state inspection is this required for the state inspection, he said no, but some owner might be sucked in to having the power steering pump replaced. I have seen situations like this repeatedly, like Firestone stopping the installation of new tires (for an hour) because I needed wipers, give me a break, I said put back my old tires on and give me my car. I have rebuilt engines, transmissions, carburetors, starters, alternators and all repairs on my and my parents cars since the 50s, and worked as a mechanic at Sun Shipbuilding and Drydock so its hard to pull the wool over my eyes. A&R won't do this type of unethical unnecessary stuff and they are very concerned that you are 100% happy with their service. They operate like a dealer and will text you to alert you to scheduled service and inspections. Dennis is knowledgeable, fair and a gentleman and will explain clearly any issues, but unlike other 'mechanics' he isn't arrogant nor does he have a chip on his shoulder, something I think is very important. I recently had my tires replaced on my 2014 Honda Accord and based on the uneven wear it was suggested that I have an alignment performed on my car. I wasn't sure where to take it so I started looking around and heard great things through a Facebook group about A&R Alignment. I continued to find great reviews so I made an appointment to bring my car in for the alignment. When I called, Doris at the front desk could not have been more friendly and described the entire process and the costs for the service ahead of time. When I arrived for my appointment the gentleman in the garage was super friendly and checked me in and advised when the work would be completed. I showed up later that afternoon pick up my car and was provided with a complete printout of the results, the work was done on time as promised, and there were no surprise costs, and again I was treated very well. My niece recommended that I take my car to be inspected to A & R Alignment as this is where she has taken her car for the last few years for any type of repair needed. I was welcomed by Doris over the phone and I was lucky enough to get an appointment for the next day as they had an opening for someone who wanted to wait for their vehicle. I was greeted by Dan at the front desk, who was very kind and patient. They had me in and out within 35-40 minutes. This place is the best! I needed an alignment done fairly quickly, Firestone told me that the alignment bolts were frozen and they wanted $500 to fix it! I did a quick google search and this place came up. I called them and explained what was going on they told me to come down so they could look. When I got there I was greeted with friendly staff! They listened to me and spoke to me like a person, not trying to take advantage once seeing that I was female. I met Doris at the front desk and she was so friendly and helpful! I was having an issue with the electrical system in my truck. Every time it snowed or rained fuses blew out. I went to several places to find out what was going on. LOVEEEEE THIS PLACE! I finally found my go to autoshop! been to bunch of different random shops for all my issues and they always give me different rates but nobody beat this guy's rates! They fix the problem as soon as i get there and analyze it thoroughly like my tires were making a weird sound every time i turned and they fixed it for me! meanwhile the other guys were charging me an arm and a leg for it but Dennis was reasonable and worked within my budget! New to the area. Took my truck to them based on positive reviews on yelp. Truck was making an obnoxious noise and leaking what I thought was oil. They were able to determine that my steering pump had rotted out from 11 years of natural wear. They recommended I use dealer parts as its longevity would be better than aftermarket parts.
