We had to order off their website rather than thru Yelp, but it was simple and as easy as Yelps process. We order a 14" plain cheese pizza with pepperoni. The online system said it would take 45 to 60 minutes to deliver. 30 minutes there was a knock on our door. I was truly impressed, especially for a Saturday evening. I didn't see anything on their website stating that they only offered thin crust, but we were so tired and hungry it would not have mattered. It was hot, the cheese was melty, and there was plenty for the two of us, 4 slices each. I cannot and will not review flavor or crust since this style of pizza is not our preferred style. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." -- Harriet Van Horne Found inside a dingy dump of a building on Orlando Avenue in Cocoa Beach sits store #2 in the expanded chain of Bruno's Pizzeria, the first being in Merritt Island. One would think that when a restaurant opens a new location they must be doing something right. However, in the case of the Bruno's Pizzeria, they would be sadly mistaken. While my server, Susie (who doubled as the barkeep) was exceedingly charming and friendly, not even her professionalism or personality could save this food. I ordered their Stuffed Meat Pizza consisting of pepperoni, ham, sausage and meatball. Waiting for Susie to return with our order I noticed the inside was not all that better than the outside of the building. While kept neat and tidy, there was this overall sense of foreboding and dilapidation snuggled into the shadowed corners and ceiling of this aforementioned dump of a little shack. The mood immediately changes with the return of the ever suave Susie with the meal. I wasn't sure if this was the Stuffed Crust Pizza of Pizza Hut infamy taken to extremes or a poor knock-off of Chicago Style Deep Dish Pie, either way, it was a huge letdown. The crust was stuffed if one can call it that, with some of the cheapest tasting pizza sauce I have ever had the displeasure of eating. Seriously, the Ragu pizza sauce you can buy in a jar at Publix is a step up from this and that stuff is crap. Not wanting the sauce to look out of place, the crust, while cooked to an aesthetically pleasing golden brown and garnished with sprinkled parmesan cheese gave the experience of chewing on construction paper only not as tasty. Sadly, once I broke through the upper crust, I was greeted with more of the same repulsive sauce and the grossest meats I have yet to encounter in a low-end eatery such as this. The pepperoni was devoid of all flavor, the ham was pre-processed, pre-formed, injected with flavorings, and then sliced, the sausage was not only tasteless but had the consistency of a wad of paper resembling the spitballs of junior high, the meatballs tasted exactly like the cheap meatballs served at concession stands at high schools across the country. They had that processed food taste like they weren't real meatballs or even food for that matter. What I can only surmise was a loan slice of green bell pepper was found trying to escape the horrors of the kitchen by hiding inside my pizza. Glancing at the menu I don't even know what a green bell pepper was doing in the kitchen in the first place as the menu clearly stated they had "sweet" bell peppers and one does not need to be a food critic to know the green ones are not the sweet ones (it's the red, yellow and orange ones). When you deal in the lowest common denominator, you can't have high expectations and clearly, the staff at Bruno's has very low expectations. The ingredients used here make Domino's look gourmet. While I did not see my least favorite food purveyors truck outside, I am willing to bet the Big Boy Mobile they get their crap from Sysco. It was so easy to place our order for a build your own style pizza which was accurate and perfect upon delivery. Others in our group wanted a White Pizza and said it was the best flavored one they had in years. The delivery was amazingly quick as they arrived in half the predicted time and there were no issues with the delivery person finding our rental unit. We camp at Jetty Park regularly or stay at the motels across the street from Bruno's on a regular basis. We know a lot of the great local restaurants and we live to grill at campsite. But sometimes you just want a good pizza and wings and an easy take out. Bruno's is always our go-to. The everything pizza is so good it finally converted me over from a "just cheese" kinda girl. The wings are spot on...even my kids ask for an extra order. We always order and pick up to go so I can't speak for table service but this is a perfect place to get some good pizza if you're on vacation in cocoa. read more

Small place (not on beach, but a block away) with a small bar and a handful of booths and tables. We showed up around 5.15 on a Friday evening and it was empty although people started showing up as we were leaving. Got free glasses of wine when we checked in on Yelp. Waiter was super friendly. Ordered online- selected Bruno's over other national chains or local pizza places because they said "Bruno's Pizzeria has been using the Freshest ingredients to make our pizzas for the past 10 years." I ordered large Pepperoni, black olive and mushroom pizza with 2 liter bottle of soda. Pizza was delivered in 20 minutes. Much faster than the estimated 45-60minutes. However, he brought 1 single can of soda . NOT a 2 liter bottle. Who would buy a single 12 oz can for $1.99?? Of course I wanted a 2 liter bottle. I was a bit miffed, but could buy 20 ounce bottles for $1.25 at the hotel which is what we did instead. Open the pizza box and my excitement was instantly gone- they used CANNED mushrooms on my fresh pizza. That is NOT at all what we expected. Can mushrooms are disgusting. Oh man, where do I start! The people were awesome! Great hospitality! Maria was very friendly and provided great service. The other gentleman was as well, we didn't catch his name unfortunately but awesome guy! We sat outside and they checked in on us to make sure we were good a number of time! We ordered a spaghetti and meatballs. Sauce is flavorless and watery (almost like they added water to make their sauce go further. The meatballs were straight out of the frozen food aisle of your local grocery store. No chance these were fresh or homemade. We also ordered the chicken parm. It came on a bed spaghetti, a couple of sliced up chicken pieces (rubbery) on too of spaghetti (not breaded) And topped with mozzarella. The cheese they use is good. But the dish itself was flavorless. After walking into the place to pick up the order I now know why the food was the way it was. We stopped in at 6:30, Tuesday night, we were served immediately, the server was very friendly. We ordered Hawaiian pizza and beverages. Beverages are delivered immediately and within 8 minutes our pizza came out! It was hot and the cheese was gooey! Yummy pizza, not disappointed.
