i came to this dentist looking for a second opinion after a bad experience at another pediatric office. Dr. Jhawar quickly put my anxiousness at ease with his knowledge and approach to finding the root of the problem without making me feel like it was my fault. where another dentist ruled my child's cavities as too much sugar, even though i explained i limited my sugar, Dr. Jhawar was quick to explain what the issues were and gave information and products to help at home. i left feeling overwhelmed with how grateful i was to have found him for my children!

Taking X-rays of my 3 yr. old to see if the lump in her cheek was dental-related. They were kind, careful & were very patient with her.

I met Dr. Jhawar at my 3 yr. old daughter's daycare. He had a table set up at back to school night with some pamphlets and take home goodies. Just recently my daughter had developed a lump in her cheek, so the urgent care Dr. said we needed to visit her dentist. I had not yet taken her to a dentist but I remembered the flyer from Dr. Jhawar that was still on my fridge. I made an appt. and was seen in 3 days. His office is definitely a hidden gem! Not what you would expect before walking through the door. It was clean, the walls were covered in colorful murals and paintings. The waiting area had a few tablets set up with pre-installed games to keep the kiddos occupied while waiting. When we were taken back to the chair there were TVs on the ceilings so my daughter was distracted while the Dr. could work. Dr. Jhawar was very attentive and listened to me describe the issue and did everything he could to determine if it was dental-related. He took X-rays of the problem area, then X-rays of the entire mouth (which was difficult with a 3 yr. old) as well as a visual inspection. He ruled out everything he could think of, showed me the X-rays and explained why it couldn't be an issue originating from her teeth or gums. He even consulted with an oral surgeon he knew very well. The urgent care Dr. we saw the week prior didn't prescribe any medication since my daughter's fever came after she went to urgent care; so before we left, Dr. Jhawar prescribed her an antibiotic to reduce the swelling and start fighting whatever infection it could be until we could see her pediatrician. I am extremely grateful for the time and attention to detail that Dr. Jhawar gave to us during our visit. My daughter left with few little toys and I left with nothing but positive things to say about Brushketeers. Thank you Dr. Jhawar! I'll be recommending you to everyone I know (that has kids).

The type of care you get for your child is amazing!! I definitely recommend this place. For any kids that are scared of the dentist please give this place a try you won't regret it.

After waiting over two months for an appointment, I brought my daughter Ciara to Dr. Rick Nichols Just for Kids Pediatric Dentistry today. This was supposed to be her first visit. This morning, I received a call from their office asking me to complete two new patient forms. I filled both out online immediately. We then headed to the appointment but ran into unexpected stopped traffic. Wanting to be responsible and respectful of their time, I called the office as soon as we got on the freeway to let them know we might be cutting it close. I was told there was a 10-minute grace period. We arrived within that window. Here's where things went sideways: Despite submitting both forms back-to-back, they claimed they only received one. This seemed highly unlikely given how their system is set up. Instead of helping resolve the issue, I was met with unnecessary rudeness from the front desk staff (I was given two different names: Melody or Isabel), who told me to "hurry up" and re-do the form or risk losing the appointment. I was already doing everything I could, and yet I was treated like I was the problem. Shortly after, I was told that the dentist had decided he would not see Ciara and that we would need to reschedule. No apology. No ownership. No attempt to accommodate or understand. Just a dismissive brush-off. I had already followed all instructions, provided insurance months ago, confirmed the appointment repeatedly, and communicated in real time when we hit traffic. To be dismissed like this, especially in a pediatric setting, is incredibly disappointing. To Dr. Nichols: If you're unaware of how your staff is treating new patients and families, I hope you'll take this as an opportunity to investigate and address it. Your practice came highly recommended by several people we trust (and you know personally outside your practice), and we were genuinely looking forward to this visit. Sadly, our experience was anything but welcoming or acceptable. And to the staff involved: In a family-focused practice, basic kindness and professionalism should not be optional. I will gladly drive farther for a provider who values their patients and not simply a mill pumping out patients.

I have taken my three kids here. Awesome experience EVERY TIME. We found them when we lost hope w/…read moreother dentists + our child was very uncooperative. They scheduled us and Dr. Nichols gave us a few options + helped our child get comfortable. No commitment at our first visit & helped us understand that we have time so we can get our son comfortable more. After the experience with one kid, we switched our 2 kids over. He even got our 2 y/o to be comfortable too! I will take my kids here as long as they can be kids. Wish they have an office for adults. Lol

My child had to be strapped to a board which is understandable but they should offer gas. ! Call around especially when it comes to an insurance thing I promise you , you will find a dentist that you do like for your child actual dentist here again we're very nice not rude, but the staff was ridiculous and I'm so happy, I found a better dental office when it comes to children. My child is better off. I hope the Dentist here. Ended up moving because they were very nice. I just hope that they get better staff at the end of the day and offer better plans for children's teeth instead of just dropping them to a board and making you feel horrible about your child having a cavity even though it's very common. I was a new mom and this was my first dental office for my child. I wish I would've known better at the time but I didn't for the new moms out there who think this is all you could get for your insurance I promise you you could find a better dental office for your child that doesn't completely traumatize them. Call around.
