Be prepared for long lines but it is worth it if your looking for a cold treat on a hot day. For a while, I had simply driven past the shop assuming it was another mediocre soft-serve place, but I was quite pleasantly surprised when I did stop here to discover that they have hand-dipped ice cream that's made fresh, in shop, on the daily. Score. This is mighty special ice cream because the scoops they dish out are fantastically soft, rich, and oh so creamy. I also appreciate their plentiful selection of ice cream flavors, though narrowing down the options can thus be pretty tricky because they are all so yum. In my first trip here I went for the Chocolate Oreo ice cream and that was a win. Smooth, chocolate perfection. On the next few visits I dabbled into the Death by Chocolate and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Buckeye. Double perfection. Interspersed throughout the Death by Chocolate were little brownie-like bits that added to the already rich blend of goodness. Similarly, the peanut butter flavor was studded with mini reese's cups, which added a nice crunch and welcome sweetness to the flavorful scoop. Hands down some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Their sign says it all, "Hand made fresh daily" and boy can you tell! Terrible service. We were waiting in line tonight at 10 minutes till 9:00. Finally got up to the counter at 9:05 and were told they were closed so they would only serve cups and cones, because they supposedly already shut down the equipment to close at 9:00. Despite their own website, and their Google and yelp listings all saying they close at 10:00. Half the people in our group didn't end up getting anything because they wouldn't serve sundaes or freezes, even though they handed out 4 sundaes to both groups of people that had ordered just before us, and seemed more than happy to make their friends in line behind us what they wanted. Not the end of the world, but certainly annoying and don't plan on going back to a business that doesn't want to serve their customers during their business hours. read more

Busters is conveniently located in the Miramar Beach area off of Hwy 98. Bruster's seems to be a happening place considering it is not uncommon to have a line forming to place orders for ice cream. Their ice cream is made on premise every morning so it is always fresh. They will give you a taster spoon if you wish to try a flavor. I did exactly that and ended up ordering Cake Batter. It was very hot that day and the ice cream was melting fast so when I ordered a sugar cone with two scoops, she also offered to give me a small cup. I was thankful for that considering most of the ice cream would have probably ended up falling off the cone and onto the ground. We ordered Cake Batter, Peanut Butter Buckeye, Mint Chocolate Chip with Oreos mixed in. All three flavors were thoroughly enjoyed by us. We will come back here when in the Destin area. I got a large waffle cone (just over $7.50) wife got a small ($6.50) holy smokes they were big. The large is a three scoop after they fill the cone they put three large scoops of ice cream on top.
