The service at this place was very good and the young lady behind the counter was happy to explain how the rolled ice cream worked to me. I didn't notice that we came when there were no customers ahead of us. I have a feeling that during peak times they can get backed up with just two workers in the store. However, it does appear that there is only one place to make this special ice cream inside of the store so I would suggest that perhaps they bring in another slab. This smaller establishment was located just a few miles from our condo on our family vacation to Destin. My oldest daughter has been raving and wanting to try rolled ice cream for a year or so now. I guess she seen it somewhere on tik tok lr Instagram. Because we don't have them back home in Lousiville and I've never heard of it. So when I seen this place I told her we would stop by with the family and our friends. Walking in and you choose a flavor, a mixer and up to three toppings. Very pricey at $8 a bowl but after really digging in it is a lot of Ice cream and toppings. So well worth it. Plus the whole ordeal Fo making it is a process. When they are ready to make yours they call your name and make it right j front of you. It's almost like sitting a hibachi grill for the show except this is with ice cream. Very cool to witness and see how they do it. I won't even try to pretend to know what I he family got ice cream wise and topping wise but I know everyone loved it and said it was great. I personally got a chocolate mixed with Kit Kat and topped with nuts, chocolate sprinkles and Nutella sauce. It was great. Very filling. I couldn't rely taste the kit kat but that may have just been because of the chocolate overload I went with on my toppings. Overall very cool and tasty place. Glad we came and experienced it. I'm not sure if all rolled ice cream places make and prepare it in front of you or not. But it was a cool touch. My only complaint is the entire place inside stunk to high heaven. Not sure if someone blew up a bathroom or if they have a sewage leak but it was really weird tasting and looking at all the yumminess and it smelling like a ran down port o potty after a 3 week long music festival in there. But after seeing them actually make our treats from scratch. WOW, the way the employees did this labor intensive work, like a musician playing in an Orchestra. They had this unique joyous rhythm to their work. A plesiosaur to watch. The four employees were hard at work at their stations but yet they had time to greet you & the feeling they meant it. Now tell me, if that isn't rare, these days? After seeing the labor, & fresh ingredients that went into making our delicious treat the price they were asking was fair (maybe a little on the cheap side).
