Mathew, the owner of Puget Sound Water Rescue was timely in his responsiveness over the Yelp App (on a Sunday afternoon) and ultimately provided us the perspective and information that we needed to determine whether or not professional remediation services were warranted at this point. Ultimately we determined with his help that they were not. Despite the fact that we did not end up hiring (anyone), his knowledge, honesty, and helpfulness were 5 stars worthy. So, when my portable AC leaked onto my flooring last night, I knew who I was going to contact. I called when they opened, and found out that he was booked for the next week. I decided to send him a message to see if there was a company he would recommend to me. He actually responded immediately and said that he'd be able to squeeze me in! You have no idea how grateful I was to hear that. He gave me two time options, and called me when he was on the way. I had no idea how much water had made its way into my flooring, so I was preparing myself for the worst. Turns out, it didn't end up being a catastrophe! Matthew used a thermal camera, and a moisture meter to inspect for moisture on the floor/subfloor and flex ducting. Once again, he was thorough at his job, and in his communication. It's difficult finding people that take pride in their work, are trustworthy, and do a great job. He was helpful in allowing us time to figure out what we wanted and seemed pretty flexible about some of the changes we wanted to make to our remodel design. He even came out to our place a few times to double-check things and discuss options. However, as many months passed (I was giving him ample time and space because he told me everything was moving slow due to COVID-19) with no signs of real progress his communication became spotty and it seemed like he was unfocused on our project and priorities. After struggling quite some time to connect, my wife and I got frustrated and lost hope that he was ever going to complete our project, so I reached out to Chad in June 2021 (a year after we started) and told him that I was thankful for the time he had given to us, but that I would like him to figure out how many hours he spent on our project and to refund me the remainder of my initial payment. He agreed but now it has been nearly 5 months of him not returning my calls, emails or texts. Two weeks after they supposedly reconnected my HVAC to the house register I have pictures of the ducting lying on the ground in the crawl space. They had tried to attach the wrong type and size ducting to the register with duct tape. They clearly did not know what they were doing. There were other issues, but this was the most egregious. Lesson learned.... you do not have to accept the company that your insurance company recommends for repairs.

I hired them, and they took our furniture out and moved it to their storage. I'm reading about the names, and I think I had Gavin, JP, Ben and Reese. I'm sorry if I got the names wrong! They were so kind during it, when I was super panicked and shocked about the loss of 1/3 of our house. We then kept working on insurance to get it covered, and when I requested they moved the furniture from their storage to ours. They very quickly did so.
