From the beginning, Eric and Cole were very responsive & helpful in assisting us with material and color selections and suggested products with superior quality & durability while staying within our budget. After months of shopping around, we decided to have David's team install LVP, carpet and handle all our millwork and casings which included complicated compound angles on our staircase. Their workmanship and attention to detail was very professional and more than met our picky expectations. The old-school honesty and integrity of everyone on David's team was truly refreshing. Eric managed our project and kept it on-time and on-budget. His attention to communication was impressive & timely even at 10pm at night and on weekends. We requested a few change orders along the way and they were charged at straight time and materials without the extra mark-ups most contractors tack on. Adrian was our onsite supervisor and was there every minute of every day. The flooring lead, Sergey and the carpet lead, Hector kept me informed and made suggestions that improved our end result. Over the last 42 years our family has built a number of custom homes and the experience with David's flooring was by far the best and was actually enjoyable. Additionally, they were the most responsive and prompt with quotes, estimates, and pricing. This job involved removing some laminate flooring, lining and cutting parts of the floor precisely, and ensuring the transition is smooth. This resulted in cabinetry that could not fit the space. I was blamed by the owner, but because all information was corresponded via email, the owner messed up the order and it was glaringly obvious. After several emails back and forth I was promised a check amount in refund. At no point did the owner measure the space, walk me through the plans and details, nor said they were sorry for screwing up. I am supposed to get a check refund when they return on the 2nd. If done, I will change my review to a 2 star review. Be careful folks.

I am glad we did not limit ourselves and went ahead and did a design consult that went beyond replacing tiles and cabinets. Kayron is so patient and thorough. She listened to our needs and really understood how we use the space. There was no cookie cutter approach to her design. The craftsmanship is excellent. However, I can't recommend him because the follow-up to finish the minor details in non-existent. He never finished the flooring job and was supposed to come back to do the transitions. It was a year later when he came back for another job, didn't have the right pieces, requested more money to order them, then said he'd come by, but didn't. He's ghosted us since and its been about 2 years since the project was started? So don't go with Modern Evolution Construction if you only want 98% of your project to be finished - go with anyone else if you want 100%.
