Having Bryan as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. Bryan exceeded all of our expectations from our first phone call with him (we live in a different state) to sending us our album. He is extremely professional, gifted, thoughtful, calm, and just an all around awesome human being. When looking for a photographer, we wanted someone who could capture candid, genuine moments (the kind where you look good and carefree - not the kind where you have 3 chins and someone is scowling in the background), and who wouldn't ask us to close our eyes and touch our foreheads together. We instantly fell in love with Bryan's photos and ability to capture real, genuine, and joyful moments. And not only is Bryan's work breathtaking, he also has such a calm and happy presence - throughout the day we smiled, laughed, and felt completely comfortable and ourselves. During the ceremony and reception, we barely noticed Bryan was there, and yet he captured every. single. moment. Going through our photos was like reliving our wedding day: we could pinpoint when someone made a joke and so-and-so busted a gut laughing, when I teared up for 3 seconds during my best friend's speech, and when my nephew ran into my husband's arms after the ceremony. Bryan was an exceptional addition to our wedding day crew. What a highlight in our day. SOMEhow, he put my husband at ease in front of the camera and singlehandedly captured all our moments. Our photographer had such an ease while working his fingers to the bone. I can't be sure he had even a bite to eat, never missing an opportunity... 4,700 photos. Yikes! To be honest, we are not the slick, serious type which could be a concern of such a romantic day. But Bryan found those moments amidst so much humor and chaos. I could not have asked for more. What a relief to trust a vendor entirely, no micro-managing or worry. What an ideal "transaction". Such a treat! Bryan came across our radar as a referral from an acquaintance. The old adage that word of mouth is the best way to go when choosing a business couldn't have been truer in this case. We decided to work with him for both our engagement and wedding photos (engagement photos, check, wedding, still to come!) because his style of photography jives with what we were seeking - genuine, candid and REAL. My finace and I aren't well versed in professional photoshoots, so we weren't sure what to expect, but Bryan truly made it a day to remember. Seriously, we hiked a brand new trail with a spectacular view, and had a lot of fun at the crack of dawn to boot! :) While the engagement shoot itself left us with warm fuzzies, we were further blown away upon receipt of the actual photographs. Bryan is an amazing photographer! We were so lucky to have him photograph our wedding (and engagement photos). My fiance and I recently did a mini engagement photo session with Bryan a few days after Snowpocalypse 2017. Despite freezing temperatures and snow on the road, Bryan still came out and did a beautiful shoot in Mt. Tabor Park. He expertly took advantage of the rare wintertime backdrop (for PDX), finding the best angles and lighting situations. Bryan is extremely professional and easy to get along with. When I saw Bryan's portfolio, I was very excited to see how natural and unposed the photos were. Bryan has a very keen eye for capturing the unique moments that really tell a story. Not only did his artistic aesthetic perfectly align with ours, so did his personality. On the day of our wedding, Bryan was a dream to work with. He was professional, patient, calm, confident, accommodating and adjusted so well to his environment (which consisted of some crazy, asian relatives) His pricing is very fair considering the great quality you get. Bryan does an incredible job. He really excels at catching candid moments and taking stunning artistic images. We loved getting a beer and getting to know him at first because like most couples, we had no idea what we were doing! He put our families at ease during the group photos and everyone loved him. Wedding photographer Bryan Aulick is not only incredibly talented at what he does, but a friendly guy who made us feel very at-ease during both our engagement session and on our wedding day. Our photos from both sessions with Bryan are absolutely magical and we (ok, mostly me) show them off just about any chance we can! He does such an amazing job of capturing the "big" moments (ceremony, first dance) as well as the special little moments throughout the day (grown-ups doing splits on the dance floor, flower girl showing off her most recent missing tooth). Initially, when planning for our photography services, we weren't sure an engagement session was necessary, but we are very happy we have professional photos of us as we are most days and not wearing wedding gear. Also, having the engagement photo session prior to our wedding allowed Bryan to get to know us as a couple, as well as for us to get to know him and his "shooting" style. Bryan prefers to capture events and moments as they unfold naturally, as opposed to lots of posed photos. His style results in beautiful photographs that highlight emotions and personalities of those he photographs. Bryan was remarkably speedy with completing our photos and getting them ready for viewing (a HUGE plus!). We absolutely love all our photos from Bryan and are looking forward to what will undoubtedly be a beautiful photo book once we are finally able to pick out just 75 of our favorites! Bryan is amazing. He was very easy and pleasant to communicate with right off the bat, and suggested we all meet for a drink to get to know each other a bit. It helped me relax so much about the wedding photo process - I hate having pics taken of me and Bryan made me and my fiance feel so comfortable. On the day of the wedding he covered our entire list of shots and took candids the whole night, and his style is so unobtrusive and natural that I didn't even really feel I was being photographed - exactly what I needed! Bryan was a god send at our wedding. Many guests commented on how wonderful he was throughout and after the wedding. As the bride, I felt like he had a wonderful ability to set you at ease, making you feel like you're just hanging out with a friend. This was really important because I freeze in front of a camera. And on top of that, our photos were beautiful. Our only regret was not hiring him for the final hour of our reception. All of our guests waited to start the crazy dance party until just when Bryan left, one of my biggest regrets! I'd definitley recommend Bryan to anyone for any event.
