I was sold on the extra photographer because their explanation was one would be aimed at us, and one at guests for the same events (to get a fuller picture). Nope, many of our shots were two photographers from different angles. We did their online form and hired them just a few months before our wedding. Somehow they told us the two we selected as our top photographers were available. I kinda feel like it was not true and just propaganda. I just wanted a few photos that I can print and show around my home. I spent $500 after the wedding to take more photos. Also, part of my anger is that my family is latino, and dark skinned. Nearly all of the photos did not include my family. I gave them a list of 4-5 people that were important to us and to get photos (my dad, my aunt). I have one photo of my aunt where she's the focus (she was my mother figure growing up) and she's looking from the side, and I have I believe 3 of my dad. I'm not sure how this happened, but I do have one of my dad that I just love. I asked for about two dozen to get edited one way or another and they tried to charge me just to do that thing you see online where only one color is highlighted in a photo and the rest is greyscale. I couldn't believe the audacity that to do that to just two photos they would charge me. There's free online software, but when you spend around $1k for photographers, you'd think they could spend a short amount of time. Pros: quick turnaround on engagement photos, good engagement photos, friendly Cons: treated me like they were doing me a favor, second photographer was not noticeably adding a benefit, poor photo quality (I'll attach some of the ones they sent me), did not take photos of two of the people I asked to be highlighted, didn't take many photos of the dark skinned people at my wedding. This is one of the most expensive photographers we sought a quote from, so I expected better. In response to my post, Seppi wishes I had reached out to him sooner. I emailed him multiple times regarding not the quality and costs. No offer for reshoot, refund were offered. His response is dose genius. After posting this a coworker told me her friends had the same experience of disappointment with this studio.

There are certainly a dime a dozen photographers who specialize in all sorts of special events, but many of them aren't in the same league as these pros. Capturing the moment is a skill best practiced by the photographers of PPS. Like many before me, I took part in a series of wedding shots (as one of many groomsman) during the summer time and the results that came of it were simply spectacular. Initially I didn't think much of the photographers as they didn't seem to be extremely demanding for our poses, have a vocal sense of direction, and they weren't lugging around much equipment. But after seeing the photos they took post processing, it really is about the person behind the lens, as opposed to the lens itself. They were organized, flexible with large groups of folks, great at composition, and even had a plan for an itinerary of photo taking throughout the day. Not all of us were made to be models, but they did a stellar job of showcasing everyone's best sides. If it were simply about the portfolio, they'd get the job any day. But what made the experience complete, was the fun loving, professional attitude that they managed to incorporate throughout the entire process. Bravo Powers!

We got the full package (the most expensive one) that includes the following: 800-1000 images (all day), edited High res CD of images, engagement session, 8x10 coffee table album with 30 prints of your choice, and filler images photographers choice, 2- 7x7 coffee table albums with 10-20 prints of your choice for parents. I won't share the price as I imagine she'll increase them as her business grows (even at the time of booking I thought it was a steal!) but I would've been happy paying hundreds more based on our experience today. In case you don't have the time to read my novel, here are my main points: Jamie's communication with her clients is second to NONE (seriously, THE best wedding vendor I've worked with thus far). Her professionalism and honesty is what I love about her most. And ultimately, the reason we hired her is because she's a talented artist that has a way of making the most ordinary backdrops extraordinary. She flew in from CA this morning, got hit in her rental car on her way to meet us from the airport and still managed to make it with plenty of time to shoot the whole day. We had lunch and got to know her a bit before the shoot began. She's lovely, absolutely wonderful. And it was because she's so cool and laid back that we felt comfortable taking direction from her. We walked around Portland and followed her lead: she photographed us in front of random walls, parking lots and a record store and we completely trusted her. I kid you not the woman was on her knees, sitting on cement and walking into busy streets to get her shot, all while making us laugh and look good. She would shows us images from time to time and I was blown away. She followed us home for our second outfit and wanted to take photos of us there before venturing out into the city again. I never thought our home would be an appropriate location but it was. In fact, I'm looking forward to having these photos as a memento of our first home together. After one more outing into the city, we made our way to the gorge. I knew I wanted to shoot there as it's where my fiance and I got engaged. THIS is where I fell in love with Jamie even more. She literally climbed up wet rocks with fashionable boots on just to check out a spot to see if it would photograph well. Then she'd ask us to join her and we all made it up to the most perfect spot at Oneonta. It was magical, so fun and adventurous. I saw a few images of this shoot on her camera and I have a feeling the gorge shots will be my favorite. If I'm this elated over engagement photos, I'm sure I'll be over the moon with our wedding photos this summer. I cannot recommend her enough. Book her while you can, future brides!

My mom had hired Rick Dodele months before my wedding. My mom sent him the deposit. My mom had 90% of the contact with him. I sent him a group of pintrest photos I wanted him to recreate. 4 days YES 4 days before my wedding he sends ME an email cancelling. He did not contact my mom with a phone call or email. He just sent it to me. I was hysterical, I called my mom in tears. She came rushing to see me and promised she would find somebody. I did not need this stress 4 days before my wedding (or anytime for that matter). I think if he had just told my mom I would never have known. I think it is most upsetting that each of the emails he sent only talked about how this affected him and his family he did not seem concerned about how it affected me and my family. He did not offer a replacement. He did immediately refund my mom's deposit but of course that was not the problem. Try to find a photographer 4 days before your wedding on a Saturday in June. I will say my parents came through like they always do. Even though the new photographer was much more expensive (just what we needed) we do have amazing pictures from our wedding. I want any future bride to be warned about this photographer. At least if my mom had known she could have made a more informed decision. I am attaching the email I received from Rick in its entirety. Unfortunately, there's just no way I can take the chance at this point, and out of fairness to you I need to give you the chance of booking another photographer. I bid very frequently on that site, and for any wedding that pays more than $1,000 you'll get the maximum five bids very quickly. I have two photographers I've used in the past as second shooters, but one of them has already been booked on your date. The other one has been good in the past, but I was very disappointed with her work the last two times I've used her. I think it's in your best interest to find someone on your own. Your wedding coordinator called and left a message for me, and I will also contact her to let her know what's going on. Please let me know how you'd like me to handle the return of your $250 deposit. I can send it back to you via PayPal if you'd like, or I can mail you a check. Either way is fine with me. Along with the enjoyment of my daughter came the privilege of writing all the checks for her wedding because yes soon to be fathers of the bride we still have to pay for EVERYTHING :-) the worst check I wrote was to Rick Dodele ( we did get our deposit back) my son and wife and I selected this man to be our daughters photographer and photograph all the wonderful memories that would unfold throughout the day so that I would have them to cherish forever. Rick Dodele turned into a nightmare. He chose to email my daughter the bride 4 days before her wedding canceling rather than my wife and I who had paid the deposit. This man shows such little regard for his clients specifically myself daughter and wife that I could never recommend him to any father because trust me the photographs are so important because the next day I realized how much of a blur the wedding was that if I hadn't had a photographer and videographer I would have missed so many memories. The fact that Rick canceled on my daughters wedding 4 days before sending my wife myself and son into panic mode of I finding a new photographer ( which thankfully we did) was one of the most stressful situations I have ever been in. The hurt in my daughters eyes and my wife who is the most composed person I have ever met having a panic attack was one of the worst experiences I have ever had to be part of the wedding is supposed to be such a happy time and in that instance it was taken away from us for a brief time do to the selfishness of Rick Dodele To all fathers i recommend you find anyone else to do your daughters wedding photography and never hire rick dodele because you want the memories not a cancelation email with a bunch of selfish self centered sentences in it.
