Last time I'll recommend this place or shop here. Owners are very rude and condescending. Came in to help my friend buy his wife her first racket for xmas. They seem to think her first racket needs to be a perfect fit and she'll be using it the rest of her life. Rather this is just a starter racket to see if she'll get into the sport enough to get her a serious racket later. I asked if he could point us towards the oversized head rackets and instead of doing that he went on a long rant about how that's not a good idea for her.... Long story short the surprise is blown since now she has to demo a bunch of rackets before the gift. It's no wonder the shop is always vacant regarding customers. read more

It may take a minute to learn how to interact with Bryan and his mother, but it's been worth it. With the discount program, the prices are reasonable. I usually on go for shoes or restringing, but I've never had a problem. Bryan has opinions that he's willing to share, so it could be worth asking for advice on racquet and strings and stuff. Based on previous user reviews, I was hesitant to visit due to mention that staff and owner did not adhere to mask mandates. However, I couldn't find any other tennis store via Yelp, open at this time. (I have since found a place called "Stringers" but they aren't on Yelp -- apparently Yelp is not big in NC). I visited, prepared to leave if no one was wearing a mask. But the staff put on their masks as soon as I entered and it wasn't an issue. Went in the store last week with a male friend because he wanted to get some demo rackets. As we were leaving, the guy behind the desk (big guy, beard, I assume the owner) made a comment about "make sure to keep him on a short leash" and some other crap. WTH? Have no idea where this came from as I had minimal interaction with this guy while my friend was discussing rackets. It was embarrassing. Won't go back there again. Excellent tennis shop! Bryan is super knowledgeable and you won't find a more stocked shop anywhere else around. His prices are great and the service there is phenomenal! Shoes, strings , racquets, balls and everything thing else in between. He won't pressure you into buying anything but guide you towards your needs. I love supporting local businesses and stumbled across Bryan's Tennis on yelp. I needed a new tennis grip for my racket and took it in on a Saturday afternoon 30 minutes prior to closing. I was able to get a brand new grip put on and it was only $6.50. I also inquired about re-stringing my racket and they will do that with a 2-day lead time. The cost varies based on the string. I was really impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and speed. The store also has all kinds of rackets for sale, tennis apparel for men and women, tennis accessories and shoes. After leaving this store, I was so inspired by the icons of Federer, Djokovic and Serena that I wanted to get right back on that court and use my new racket. They are closed Mondays and located behind Westgate Jeep. Super friendly service and thank you for getting me back in the game! read more

Took a ride here to get the grip on my tennis racket replaced. Brought along 2 other rackets for my speed mitton set and they fixed those as well. It cost $7 for each racket. If I got a better grip it probably would have been a little more.. I was just replacing a grip for a spare racket so it was a great price.. Noticed they have an indoor area where it looks like you can test a racket. I have a few racket ball rackets that need new grips so I will be back. They had a great selection of new rackets for adults and juniors. They also had some tennis clothing for adults and juniors. read more

In light of our state rules to mandate wearing face coverings in Raleigh, I was taken aback yesterday when visiting the store. Almost all of the customers (about twenty) wore masks, but the two people behind the register, yes, you Bryan, did NOT! Although the sign on the door asks for masks to be worn, evidently this message does not apply to them. What can I say......I left when seeing this behavior. Best tennis store in Raleigh. Apart from the free demos. People there know tennis in all aspects. I just got out of their store happy with my Yonex demo that they recommended me according to my needs on court. I took my mother in law here this morning to buy her a new tennis racket for her birthday.... we waited about 20 minutes for someone to help us as the two people working were focused on other seemingly more important customers.. when we finally got help the woman at the store had given the other woman that she was dealing with a couple of pairs of shoes to try on... she talked to us for about a minute and couldn't even offer up any advice on proper grip size then as soon as the other woman had her shoes she immediately focused the attention back to her completely ignoring us. Bryan is extremely patient and knowledgable--especially when dealing with someone that's new to tennis. They have a great selection and a 3/4 size court and ball machine, so you can test onsite. I highly recommend Bryan's Tennis based on my personal experience with this store over the past several months. We are new to the area and my son plays a lot of tennis. Bryan noticed I was in at least once a week since his strings were constantly breaking. He recommended a different type of string and now they don't break as much, even though this means less business for him. His prices are also better than those from the big tennis websites for clothing and tennis shoes, and he and his mom are really knowledgeable. I am fairly new to tennis- played a bit in high-school and then took a long hiatus. I went into Bryan's Tennis today after taking a few months worth of tennis lessons-I had been wearing my Nike running shoes on the court for lessons and had nearly destroyed them. I figured it was time to invest in some real tennis shoes to take my lessons to the next level (and to also stop ruining expensive running shoes). I walked into the store not knowing quite what to expect- fearing a group of snobby country club tennis goers and those who might would hold their noses up if they knew just how beginner I actually am. The complete opposite occurred, I was warmly greeted by the owner Bryan who asked me what I was looking for. I had told him that I had started taking tennis lessons and that I was quite beginner, but that I wanted some good quality tennis shoes to help me take my lessons up to the next level. He was super excited about the fact that I was new to tennis and was extremely interested in helping me find the absolute perfect pair of shoes. Bryan zoomed across the store floor pulling the many shoes down from the racks that he thought would meet my needs for style and comfort. After 45 minutes or so of my indecisiveness, I finally narrowed it down to two pairs of Asics- one crazy pair of awesome yellow ones that were on sale for $80 and another pair of boring black ones for $120. Bryan could tell I was in love with the crazy yellow ones and the fit on each was pretty much the same- he said go with the fun and less expensive ones... obviously, putting his customer's needs and wants before his own profit. I was so very impressed by the amount of personal attention and amazing service that I received at Bryan's Tennis. I will be a long-time supporter of this local business after this experience and I won't go anywhere else for my tennis needs.
