The level of communication and the expectation that is set is great. You're kept up to date and if there's any changes or delays with your appointment, you're notified with an updated ETA. I had Randy come out last year to inspect an issue that I had with my AC unit. He inspected it and recommended a repair along with unclogging my primary drain line. What I appreciate about Randy is that if it can be repaired, he will repair it. He will not force you to buy a new unit or system like many other companies. My AC unit and furnace was on the older side, but he repaired it successfully and saved me money when I needed it. Fast-forward to over a year later, my furnace was having issues and not staying lit. I gave Randy a call and he was able to come out the same day to look at it. Randy inspected it, tested it with a new part he brought with him, and it still was not staying lit. He told me it was likely the circuit board that was failing given the age of the furnace and other factors. Factoring in the cost for a new circuit board and the age of my furnace, he told me it would be best to replace it. He was able to give me different options and explained each of them in detail. He answered all of my questions and did not make me feel rushed or pressured into anything. After offering me a deal I couldn't refuse, we finally came to an agreement on replacing the furnace and AC unit together so that it would be matching. Randy went above and beyond and got the units hot shotted over so that it could be replaced the next day as there was cold weather in the forecast and he didn't want me freezing. Fernando, Randy's right-hand man, showed-up right on time with his team and got to work with replacing everything. Fernando, Martin, and the rest of the gentlemen kept me informed with the whole process. They also offered to have me come up in the attic to see the replacements and if they were to my satisfaction. These guys worked hard and were able to get my brand new furnace and AC unit up and running within just a few hours. They provided me with all of my paperwork for the units and answered any questions that I had. Fernando also went above and beyond by going to the hardware store and purchasing a new return air filter grille and new filters for the new system. I didn't even mention this to him but he wanted to surprise us. He told me that he noticed my grille was older and that he could get filters that would fit my air return vent since it's an odd size. It's the small things like this that provide a great experience and set apart the best from the rest. I could tell by talking to Fernando that he takes his work seriously and enjoys what he does. Randy called me when the work was finished to ensure I was satisfied and asked me if I had any questions for him. This was a 5-star experience all around. He was the last one that came out and quoted us and I couldn't believe how low his quote was! Almost $1500 less for the exact same equipment, warranty and time frame as the others. He didn't do the extra stuff that wasn't needed like replacing the vent lines or adding dampeners, etc, but again, it wasn't needed. We needed air at an affordable cost. He came early and went thru and quoted us for a new evaporator and condenser. He's definitely old school so I was a little afraid when he spke about a handshake deal over the phone. He did also give it to us in writing as well when he came out so that made me feel better. They replaced condenser and coil unit in one of my rentals: offered 1 year service warranty and 10 years on the parts. Problems started 11 months later, when we had a leak in family room and master bedroom. Initially, we thought it was plumbing related, but it turned out it was AC leaked into the wall. House became a health hazard and tenant had to move out. I ended up replacing drywalls and flooring. Then hurricane Beryl came and we were out of power for 2 weeks. When finally we finished work and new tenant moved in, AC could not cool to the setting temperature (7-8 degrees above setting) and condenser runs non-stop. A clear sign of Freon leak. Alex did not want to come and told me he does not do a residential, but when I insisted, he stopped by and said the unit works properly with no leaks and freon pressure is 32 psi. 2 days later, AC did not cool again! We scheduled an appointment 3 days in advance and Alex was fighting me on the phone, coming up with excuses not to service the unit.

The other company also did the repairs for a much more reasonable price than Indoor Comfort. After deadlines had passed, I tried calling to find out why, but they stopped answering phones and never showed up. Very unreliable at a time when the weather was very hot and my house was extremely uncomfortable. At least I was able to find other, more reliable, air conditioning companies so I will never have to use Indoor Comfort again.
