The whole front area is kind of like a cool DIY play area. There's a basketball hoop, there's an area where kids can smack on different sounding metal objects. There's a corn feed area where there's little diggers and scoop trucks to play with that. You can meet the farm chickens and they sometimes event host events (we went during a popcorn time which was super cool to try different popcorn seeds as well as spiced popcorn with plenty of variety!) There is an area where you can pay to slingshot apples at a target in the middle of a field. There's a corn maze that we weren't brave enough to go in and the apple picking was really great. We selected a larger bag we stuffed it to the brim and we definitely had enough apples to Last us for weeks and my husband made an apple pie. We will definitely come back next season!

I didn't really spend much time in the stores and was a bit surprised by the prices for apple picking. But I will say they had really nice empire apples and I got mostly those. They have others too but they were mostly picked over already as the empires had just at been opened up for picking. Mostly I was happy to get out to Wisconsin away from the boring Chicago Southwest suburbs, into less populated areas. I made a pie with some of the apples and it was really good.
