I found the food to be bland, and overall processed, guacamole being squeezed out of a bag that was premade somewhere, pico de Gallo that tasted like it was made a few days ago is not what I'm looking for when you spend over $30 for a couple of small tacos and a burrito. The restaurant also had stainEd ceiling tiles, TVs that were not on and the servers behind the counter looked like they just woken up and we're not super friendly. Bubbakoo's, my favorite Tex Mex spot that always has me hungry for more. Everything on their menu is mouthwatering and never fails to give a less amount. They satisfy their customers by loading up their order and it makes the food ten times better! Last night I had a huge burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, double steak, pico de gallo, cheese, and guacamole. Every ingredient on the bowl blended so well together to form an amazing and filling burrito bowl! The steak was so juicy and delicious, the black beans were wet and blended well into the rice and cheese, the pico de gallo was also wet and it tasted great! They put so much cheese that covered the bowl like a blanket and it melted over! And of course the brown rice, the base of everything was solid. My only critique with my bowl is the guacamole. I feel like it lacked a little on the bowl and the put it off the side of the bowl. It should have been on top. But the guacamole itself was really good and creamy! This bowl had me enjoying myself, but on the other hand, my side, the chips and guacamole, didn't live up to any hype. The chips had no salt, therefore no flavor. The guacamole, like I said, was really good, but it would have been better on a good chip, not a plain one. But besides these downsides, Bubbakoo's still stands as my favorite Tex Mex spot and the main entree will never let me down! read more

I thoroughly enjoyed Bubbakoo's. The staff was the first thing that caught my attention because they were so welcoming and friendly. They helped us with the whole selection process as well. Bubbakoo's reminded me a lot of the Chipotle chain. You pick your meat then you choose your toppings. I got the chicken and shrimp burrito. I chose black beans, cheese, rice, corn, sour cream, and mild salsa as my toppings. It was phenomenal. I was super full about halfway through due to the size of the burrito. It truly hit the spot. Overall, Bubbakoo's was delicious. The combination of the staff and the food made it an easy choice to give it a solid 4 star review. I am disgusted to say that my favorite Bubbakoo's location has become my LEAST favorite. So rude to me upon arrival no greeting, no eye contact, and they looked so miserable and treated me the exact same way. I saw that they had a discount for veterans, which my boyfriend who was with me at the moment had his cac card. And he said "yeah I guess if he got it." Came here for a lunch fix when i was down visiting my cousin. She recommended this place and it was awesome. Their mango salsa was really good, definitely worth trying if you like mangos. This week the food critics from toms river north visited our buddies over at bubbakoos burritos. Bubbakoos hooked us up with delicious egg rolls which had a hint of spices which gave it great flavor. We also were given free tater tots, fries, and drinks which we are thankful for. Finally I was able to try the burrito along with others and I can say it was better than chipotle. Waited another 15 min after I paid for the buffalo cauliflower. while 6 girls stood there the cauliflower waiting on the counter, the one girl who was actually working stopped what she was doing to finish the cauliflower. Love this place but lately I've been very let down. Today they messed up my simple chicken and shrimp Burrito. Some how it wound up being shredded chicken and buffalo shimp. When I corrected him he really didn't seem to thrilled to fix his mistake. So needless to say I bought a lunch that was gross AND WAS CHARGED FULL PRICE. I'm mixed about this place. They're okay, but for the price, I think I expected more. The serving was generous in terms of the rice, veggies and sauce but the meat was definitely skimpy. Service and cleanliness were okay. So far, tried the Taco Salad and the A1 steak burrito. The taco salad I suppose is the best deal since you get a generous serving of vegetables. The A1 steak burrito was tasty but the serving of the meat was just not enough. Chips with salsa were $1.99 not too bad since you get a whole bag but beware, it's just one small cup of salsa. Highly disappointed. We ordered a kids meal and a 2 for $22 but the total was $40 plus $4 tip. Realized they charged us incorrectly and the charge you a $2 upgrade on each taco to get steak or shrimp. It wasn't even that great. Omg this is the best place for burritos and other great dishes . The atmosphere is delightful and the employees are magnificent they truly aim to please .
