Place is very small and not fancy. It did have nice mural work. Prices were very good. The staff was VERY nice. We had tacos and chicken fajitas. BOTH very tasteful. Would recommend

    The prices

I went there to try the food totally disappointed the menu prices are totally different than the real prices We ask for quesadilla de chicharrón menu $8.75 real price 13 Burrito $7.75 real price 10 And worst of all the food wasn't great. the rice was overcook very soft The tacos were okay but the limes were very very dry no juice at all The burrito had more rice than meat and that overcook rice. The manager told me she has a sign at front in Spanish the because of prices increase the prices could be different I thought it is ilegal to advertise a price and charge a different one Very disappointed

It's a very fun, quaint, authentic, Mom & Pop Mexican restaurant with very low prices. The atmosphere is cheerful. I went with family friends who are now regulars. The waitress remembered them from last time. They've only been open a few months. All of our entrees were delicious and authentic. Very few entrees cost more than $13. Many were only $8. The red enchiladas were spicy but not too much so. The entrees come with rice but not with beans. They told me to order this rice milk drink, which had a cinnamon flavor to it. I enjoyed it. Just make sure to park in the back across from Wawa. They have enough parking. It's just in that back.

Solid taco spot when you have a craving for tacos... good portions, good tortillas. Double tortillas for your tacos is a good sign. Horchata is good and cold! Waitress very attentive.

Great food, price and people. Try the hurachas. Only improvement would be more chips, never enough for salsa or guacamole.

Nice ambiance and very friendly staff. I ordered the full stack of French toast with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries, and a side of sausage links. My wife had the west Coast scrambler which consisted of eggs, avocado, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, and scallions. Our friends ordered the chorizo burger with fries, and pastrami on rye with a side of coleslaw. As a coffee snob, I would say the coffee was very good. Everything came out cooked fresh and hot. Plenty of fresh fruit on top of my French toast. I heard the chorizo burger was different and delicious. Most of the plates went back clean. Portions were very generous. The service was excellent and friendly. The prices are reasonable. There is plenty of parking in their private parking lot. Worth the trip if you are in the area.

The menu is MASSIVE, don't come if you're indecisive or if you don't plan to come back to try more dishes ! The waitstaff sticks to the silly bit , wearing PJs, bordering on rude but in a playful way that makes it fun and not annoying. There are so many knick knacks on the walls to look at - lots of conversation starters! We enjoyed everything we ordered (the afternoon waffle section was a fun twist on a sandwich and proved you can have it all!) and are already scheming what we will have next time we come back!

And, no I am not awarding four stars for the service approach towards diners ... she did refill my coffee mug once and then surprisingly just took the creamers away without asking (I drink my coffee black but she didn't know that.). Clearly she has favorites because the guy in the booth next to me got the lovey-dovey "hon" treatment. The Sand Castle has a feeling of having been worn down by the waves through the years type of place because many of the booth chairs and counter chairs exhibit wear and even more than a few tears. On a cold November Saturday morning I could feel the chill as I sat in my booth sipping my coffee (And, I wasn't anywhere close to the front door.). So onto the four stars ... but don't say I didn't warn you about service and ambiance. Well, it feels like a shore diner and I like that feel but yea worn out a bit. Quite awhile ago stopped by for dinner and the food was really good with lots of tempting options. I always judge diners by their soup and the soup was top notch! Our meals were enjoyable at a reasonable price. And, then I just forgot to review the diner. But decided to return for breakfast today after a long Friday night. Coffee arrived promptly and was really decent coffee but the amazing part of my breakfast was how quickly the really wall prepared omelette was served. It was like in the blink of any eye and for many a promptly delivered breakfast meal is a real plus (I appreciated it!!!!). Although the waitress really didn't want to be bothered with me the rather short diner breakfast menu had the classics and that quickly prepared omelette was a tasty WESTERN. The homefries were really good ... actually they were great even without onions in them (Waitress never asked if I'd like onions and rushed away so I didn't ask but these potatoes didn't need onions.). Toast was toast and the jam/jelly selection was universally grape jelly with one orange marmalade. A very good breakfast and I wasn't here to make friends just to warm up ooops ok, so I didn't warm up but the coffee helped, and to do some work. Still worth the food if you're in the neighborhood!
