Hidden gem of Mexican food in the Toms River area. I've lived on the Mexican border for several years and I've been constantly in the hunt for food that reminds me of the area. This place and food reminds me of that time. The food here is amazing and as authentic as you can get. I had the Al pastor tacos and the Mole enchiladas and they were delicious. The horchata is something I will definitely come back and order again. The chips and salsa they had there were top notch as well. The prices are also extremely cheap. I went there to try the food totally disappointed the menu prices are totally different than the real prices We ask for quesadilla de chicharrón menu $8.75 real price 13 Burrito $7.75 real price 10 And worst of all the food wasn't great. the rice was overcook very soft The tacos were okay but the limes were very very dry no juice at all The burrito had more rice than meat and that overcook rice. Very good enchilada mole. Topped with sweet raw onion and radishes with avocado covered with creama and dusted with mex cheese. Tough to find places that still make mole so this is a pleasant surprise. Will be back. Spouse had the bisteak burrito and it was tasty and very large. It's a very fun, quaint, authentic, Mom & Pop Mexican restaurant with very low prices. The atmosphere is cheerful. I went with family friends who are now regulars. The waitress remembered them from last time. They've only been open a few months. All of our entrees were delicious and authentic. Very few entrees cost more than $13. Many were only $8. The red enchiladas were spicy but not too much so. The entrees come with rice but not with beans. They told me to order this rice milk drink, which had a cinnamon flavor to it. I enjoyed it. This place is great the staff is friendly, the portions of food are huge. One of my favorite dishes to get here is the Alambre de Res, so much cheese I love it since I do the keto diet! This place is a little hidden gem with real authentic Mexican food if you're a little patient the payoff is worth it.

Been coming here since it opened! Wow what a great spot! The price and quality are great! I get the alambre with chicken and it comes with rice, beans, and tortillas! So big and delicious! I would recommend either calling and placing your order because it gets busy and usually takes between 20-30 minutes to get, which is no problem, because every time I come, it's packed. Taco's a great choice too! Also try parking in the back lot, it's much easier to get in and out of than that really small tiny parking spaces in the front, it's a pain in the butt because your merging with heavy hooper ave traffic. I dont understand all the high ratings. I ordered steak fajitas and chicken flautas. The food was very hot, thats the only good thing I can say. The Flautas were incredibly dry. They give you a menu with low prices then they Charge you way more and after they charge you they explain that the haven't updated their menus in 4 years and those prices you're seeing are outdated. I ordered a burrito advertised for 7.50 on their menu. They charged me 12$ and the burrito was quite small.
