The property is beautiful and very well maintained. We went on a wagon ride and saw all sorts neat animals and learned about them from the guide. We rented fishing poles ($5) and went fishing in the stocked pond. We played with young antelopes, found turtles, and hunted for frogs and snails. We jumped in a canoe and paddled around the small lake. Stand up boards, kayaks and peddle boats are also available (unfortunately the peddle boats were out of commission today). We played sand volleyball, badminton, shuffleboard and horse shoes. Face painting, bounce houses and snacks all available too. A few more games were up on the deck as well as ducklings to pet. A wonderful way to spend the day with the family. We'll definitely be back!

We were a group of 5 and our skill levels ranged from advanced to super novice. Bry was our tour guide and he was FANTASTIC. He was not only a great instructor and guide, but he was very fun and we enjoyed our time with him! You can tell he truly loves what he does and he definitely made the experience a thousand times better. We caught our big fish limit and regular limit on striper. Bry filleted, cleaned, and bagged our fish for us. We will definitely be back in the future and will be requesting Bry again!!

However, having always had something special going for it,the north Texas growth has breathed new life into this 10 square mile area formerly " historic" McKinney. This little lake created by forward thinking city planners is more and more a community gathering point. Just to the west is a full blown Frisbee golf course, hiking/biking trails and more. I was directed to a little pond/lake not too far away and I spoke with the woman who works here or owns the place (I wasn't sure. She's super sweet and funny) and I purchased an umbrella that at the time I'm sure my spouse thought was a funny thing (he's hardcore lol) but my very white baby was gonna burn like an egg in a hot frying pan if I didn't. I also got the cutest bonnet for her. My kid caught herself a fish in 10sec from the first cast at that spot and a few more to follow. Those were the best darn worms my money could buy. 5 stars
