I brought my son here countless times for haircut. Overall I think the stylists have done a pretty good job. We actually had a couple great cuts here. Unfortunately, we have had two really poor haircuts once while it was under the current owner and once while it was under the previous owner. I realize now that both times they were done by Alma, I do not recommend her. I showed her a photo of what we were looking for, I told her my son wanted to keep his hair long. She didn't listen and told me it's not possible to keep his hair long?!? I said that I know I want the sides cleaned up a bit but he wants to keep his hair long, she said okay. She immediately took a pair of clippers and shaped off almost all of his hair except for his bangs. It happened so fast I couldn't even stop her. So now his hair is incredibly short all the way around including the back of the top, but has long bangs. He has been trying to grow his hair long (which I told her) so I feel really sad for him. To top things off she was also late arriving to the appointment. For $40, this was absolutely not worth it. I would come back here but to a different stylist that actually listens when you try to tell them what you want. read more

The people very nice and the hairstylist was very patient with my baby. The haircut was OK and after I pointed out some spots that were uneven, she recut his hair. The haircut was still quite uneven and now quite short but I was afraid to cut more. The place was very clean and cute and they had balloons and suckers for after the haircut..... The worst part was that the stylist was incredibly rushed (they BARELY swept up the previous child's hair when they put us in the chair and started cutting with the same scissors she cut the previous child) AND THA WAIT!! They say they welcome walk ins (we got there exactly when they opened) but they only had one stylist and the 45 minute wait with a toddler was difficult! read more

Ana's amazing. She's been doing my son's signature haircut, the faux hawk for a long time. We even did a styling color red gel which came out super cool on the tips of my son's spikes. She is very nice and detail orientated with a passion of working with kids and doing the best haircuts and styles for your kid. We love Ana. After each haircut your kid gets a lollipop and a balloon. To begin, the salon is decorated and set up perfectly for little ones. My son is only one, and they found a way to entertain him with balloons, Blippi, and fun decor. Haircut was not the best compared to where I go now. They left a lot of hair on the crown of my boys head which made hair stick up... after combing over My boys did not have the option to choose a car where they want to do their haircut. Thank you so much for giving my son his first haircut. I didn't know what to expect but they are so prepared. They played my sons favorite disney movie Coco and allowed us to pick which car he wants to sit in. The lady, Alma, was the one who did my sons haircut and she is so sweet and calm. She allowed me to collect all my sons hair lol once we were done, they gave my son a balloon and a certificate with his picture and a bit of his hair. I'm so glad I came here for his first haircut. Outstanding service and customer care! I found this place on a whim. I was looking for a nice place for my son to have his first haircut and this place was the best pick for us. My almost 2 year old has never had his haircut and Anna did an amazing job at cutting my son's hair. I told her what I wanted and she made it happen. My son had a great first haircut experience. He did not cry and was very calm - loved the car experience too. They provided him with a certificate and picture of the haircut and a keepsake piece of hair. Not the best experience. This was my 2 year old's first haircut and there were several misses. They were late to our appointment because their previous haircut was taking longer, which would have been fine - we don't mind waiting. Right before it was our turn, another family checked in for their appointment, which was set for after ours. We overheard management tell them "don't worry, you're next, it should only be 10-15 minutes". They only had 1 hairstylist. That suggests they were only planning on a 10-15 minute haircut for our son. When it was our turn though, they got him in a chair and the hairstylist immediately got in without even saying anything. She was brusque and accidentally bumped his head with her hand, and he started crying. She did not take her time at all and kept saying "don't cry". They finished his cut quickly, and proceeded to take care of the next family. I saw the stylist taking her time, like she should have with us. The manager tried sweet talking us in the end. The place is nice with cars for seats, and they give you a balloon at the end. That's all it has going for it. The service was not great and we will not be back. read more

My family was sad when Yellow Balloon closed. My son is a pandemic baby so he hasn't had much interaction with the outside world. His first haircut was at Yellow Balloon and was done by Alma. When Yellow Balloon closed, we weren't sure where to take my son for his next haircut. Discovered Bubble Cuts on Yelp, noticed it was the same address, so I made an appointment for my son. We were so happy to see that Alma was still there. She is so patient and does a great job on my son who cannot keep still during haircuts. Will continue to bring my son here for his future haircuts. Alma is very fast and does a fantastic job on my son's hair. Parking is sometimes a chore because of the location, but we've been lucky finding street parking thus far. read more

I wish I could give negative stars because this is the absolute worst haircut my son has received thus far and the most expensive one as well. We showed the stylist a reference photo of what we wanted and before she even started I stated I wanted it long on top and just a trim on the sides but also keep it long. She replied back "yeah I understand." She proceeds to get the clippers and start cutting his hair with what I believe was a two guard. She obviously went much higher than what she she have, didn't give any sort of gradient to the sides where had she used a scoop motion with the clippers she would have achieved this vs keep the clipper flat against his head and go as high as she did. I can't even express how much we absolutely hate his haircut. My wife said my face said it all so she spoke out and said the haircut looked horrible. The stylist asked "so you don't like it" and my wife replied back "no, it looks bad. You went really high after we said we wanted his hair like the photo and like the little boy in the other chair. The stylist replied back that his hair looked like that because he has a lot of hair. Ummmmmmm no lmao his hair looks like this because you fucked it up. Despite this and despite my desire to want to tip, my wife still said we should; either way, we both hate his haircut and it's thanks to you guys. I'm sure it won't matter to you either because you all obviously have enough business to keep you doors open if one customer decides to never come back, but yeah...we won't be back. Over priced for a garbage haircut. Thank you guys for ruining thanksgiving photos :) Ohhhhh and I forgot to mention how his neck was horribly cleaned up with one side semi cleaned up and the other side not cleaned at all in addition to a choppy uneven edging of the back the hair. read more

After telling Alma my daughter needed a trim for her bob-- "an inch around"... she proceeded to take the electric razor to the back of her head and by the time I saw her take it all the way up the back of her head, it was too late. We've been coming for years, and never had a cut this bad, but the worst part was the way she tried to convince me (gaslight?) this was how it had been cut every time before. As if I'm not the kid's mom and haven't taken her to every haircut preceding this one? Cmon lady. My four year old looks like Kate Gosselin now and I paid fifty bucks for the honor. And now it's not going to grow out evenly. Sigh. I know it's just hair but it's particularly rough when it's your baby's hair. I've never been picky about the stylist, we usually do a walk in... and to be clear- Alma had cut her hair before (never the best job but certainly never ever like this)... and perhaps she is better suited to doing a quick boy's cut. We saw Debbie today for back to back haircuts for my children. She is the best. So kind and extremely patient and respectful of my children's wishes (along with mine). My kids love seeing Debbie for their haircuts - highly recommend! Great haircuts for my 7 year old girl and 9 year old boy. The salon is very clean and fun for little kids with special chairs (ie. taxicab, fire engine, police car) - my bigger kids sat in normal chairs but enjoyed watching tv as they got their haircut.
