Sorry I do not remember the name of my stylist. I meant to write this 2 weeks ago but have been distracted with cancer treatments. Facts only. I was a walk In and asked for layered haircut. Although I do have thin hair. When it is shorter and layered. It is curly and looks thicker. Hair stylist washed my hair. Trimmed about 3 inches off the bottom. Then she proceeded to dry my hair and tell me she didn't want to layer my hair. She liked the way she made it look fuller in the back. I agreed she shouldn't. I was not going to insist someone do something she didn't want to do. I don't believe they will do a good job. Anyway $60 later with barely a trim, that I hated. Worst salon ever, they destroyed my hair. Destroyed it. Burned it off at the roots and I have been walking around looking like a q-tip ever since. I'm typically the type of person that will only take the time to leave a good review rather than a bad review because I try and give the benefit of the doubt - but I feel like this is a necessary exception so no bride makes the same mistake I did. I booked this place for myself and my bridal party back in June and if I had to do it all over again I would not book here again. I totally rely on solid reviews for nearly every decision I make (and at the time there were only 6 reviews) but I'm a procrastinator and had about a month until my wedding and needed to make hair appointments - plus it's right next door to ulta so I made make up appts there which was super convenient. So maybe this was all just punishment for being a procrastinator . First off, there were 5 of us that needed our hair done. When I made the appointment I explained how it was for my wedding and asked if they could take us all as early as possible. They said they didn't open until 10 and could be done by 1 at the latest with 2 girls at a time. When we got there at 9:45, the salon had about 5 customers already having their hair done (hmm). They took me right away but didn't start anyone else until almost an hour later. The last girls were done around 1:30. Not the end of the world and fortunately I planned for this but if you're looking for punctuality, this is not the place. If that was the only issue - I wouldn't have written the review because I would have chalked it up to my hair taking longer and throwing everything off blah blah blah. But it wasn't the only issue. I did the trial run a week before my wedding, and didn't like it at all but there was a more simple hairstyle I liked also so I figured I'd just go with that the day of my wedding, assuming a professional hair dresser would be able to pull off a simple hair style (low, loose, piecey bun - I will post a picture of what I wanted and what I got also). I was there for almost two hours - partially because I have a lot of hair, mainly because my maid of honor and I kept trying to find different ways to explain what I wanted - somehow the picture I was showing her wasn't getting it across. I ended up just having to settle due to time. Aside from that, two of my bridesmaids wanted braids in their updos. When the first one sat down and showed the stylist what she wanted the stylist told her she doesn't do braids. My BM eventually asked to be switched to someone who could do braids. Although I don't know how a professional hairdresser can't do braids, the main thing that annoyed me was her attitude as if it were a ridiculous request. Then my other braid-wanting BM came from the next door Ulta where she just finished getting her make up done. She didn't know about any of what happened and asked for a braid as well. The hairdresser just completely ignored her. She's guilty of not speaking up but still, it's unprofessional to just ignore a customers request. Lastly, after I had already left, my sister in law went in without an appointment asking if they had time to do a blow out on her and a little braid on my neice (I didn't know she was going so I didn't have the chance to direct her elsewhere...). They said yes and she sat and waited for 20 minutes before just leaving. If you don't have the time -- Just say so!!! Clearly no respect for peoples time. read more

My stylist was Stephanie and she did a great job not only on the cut, but also educating me on how to keep my hair looking good in between visits. This is the worst hair salon that I have ever been to! Not only did I wait 4 hours to get my hair done, but the quality was horrible and I had to wait 30 minutes for an appointment that I booked a week in advance. I am so disappointed with my hairstyle and color. I'd rather pay the extra money and go to a salon where I know they can cut and color my hair the way I want it to be. I had a great experience yesterday after a mix up (showed up to the wrong bubbles!) Ashley fit me in, luckily it was early morning on a Monday so the salon was not busy. Ashley did exactly what I wanted, color cut and an awesome shampoo! She also did not rush with me despite having another client come in during my process, which I appreciated. The 5 stars are not for Bubbles...but my AMAZING stylist Jamie! I have been going to her since 2006 and have never had a bad haircut. If you have ever had an experience where you go to someone, show them a picture of the haircut you want and tell them EXACTLY what you are looking for...and then come out with a total crap haircut...you will appreciate when you find someone like Jamie...who actually LISTENS to what you are looking for. She checks with you if you are okay with the length and doesn't go chopping happy on her own. She listens to what you want, she is very knowledgeable about hair and will provide suggestions based on her experience....but will not just do it before she checks with you to see if you would be okay with what she is suggesting. Some stylists feel like they have to keep talking while they cut hair and can't handle silence and get too distracted while cutting hair. Jamie is okay with not talking the whole time because her first priority is making sure she is cutting the hair like you want. Not to say that she doesn't talk at all...she does...but not at the expense of your hair. She gets booked pretty fast and way in advance...but she goes out of her way to fit you in somehow. She's come earlier than her scheduled time, has stayed after she was supposed to be off...just to fit me in her schedule. She is crazy enough to give me her cell number...and I've sent her pictures randomly to see if a particular cut would look good on me....and she just takes the time to respond back on her personal phone and give me feedback! I also stood at the check in desk for 5 minutes before being acknowledged. 4 employees stood behind that desk to address one customer...not the most customer oriented welcome I've seen. When I was said hi to, I was told to sit down and my hair dresser would be told I was here. It just didn't feel welcoming. When Lauren approached me, she was very friendly and nice. She cut my hair, it was easy. When she asked if I wanted a shampoo, I said nah...she had already wet my hair, didn't need a shampoo. My cut took about 15 minutes. It was a good cut...but I was charged $40. The other Bubbles I go to charged $25 WITH the shampoo. Just not a place I feel like I need to go back to. read more

I LOVE ULTA!!!! The people who work there are usually very helpful and knowledgeable. I was in the Annapolis area yesterday and was looking for a few products. It was clear that they were a little understaffed this particular day, which is fine. Just browsing ULTA is fun and I always find new products. I asked for some assistance with a foundation/ tinted moisturizer and the young lady who was helping me appeared to be annoyed that I asked and was LAZY as she did not take her time looking for products and listening to my concerns. Sadly, I left without anything and was highly frustrated. Later that day, I went to Sephora and it was a pleasure working with their team. I do not recommend this particular ULTA if you need help as the staff is lazy. read more
