I first saw this on Sunday morning and thought if I ever get to Texas I definitely need to go there. I also read about it in Southern Living magazine. So it's a huge gas station but you go inside, they have clothing, jewelry, gifts, food, etc.. The brisket is highly recommended but we were too full to try it. But I did buy some pecans because I saw on yelp. Somebody said they were pretty good. We also bought a few other little gifts. I even got a muffin and yogurt parfait for breakfast tomorrow. I only got 1 question after coming here. And it's, why doesn't California have any Bucees? This place is just incredibly amazing. And they are legit all over the place here in Texas. Or at least we saw 3 or so driving from Dallas to Texas. I've only seen Bucees on YouTube or on TV, and the people are always talking about how massive the place is. And when we pulled in, I was struck by how gigantic this place really is in person. Let alone the dozens of gas pumps. But once you get inside, it's like a one-stop shop for everything. It's like a Disneyland of convenience stores. In the middle, they have the hot meats section. Where you can order bbq by the pound. Or you can have their different bbq burgers or sandwiches. Next to that, they have the dessert and chocolate area where everything is made fresh. To the side, they have counters full of other desserts, beef jerky and other goodies. Then they have an entire area for coffee and an entire island full of creamers and syrups. They got bottled waters, chips and snacks, jars of snacks and a whole bunch of other snacks to enjoy on the road. They obviously got an entire wall of sodas!! Further down, they have household items that you can buy for the home as need be. Theyxeven got Bucee apperal you can buy!! And it wouldn't be Texas if they didn't have smokers and bbq pits on the outside that you can purchase!! And the crazy thing is it's open 24 hours. You can get a hot meal no matter what time!!! This is an upgraded gas station, with fresh bbq, a gift shop, and clean facilities. We stopped here with a family of 5 kids and some adults for lunch and quickly realized they don't have any tables to eat at, despite offering a large food selection. They are not very allergy friendly, and as a GF vegetarian I would suggest to look for food elsewhere. Despite this we were able to at least grab a large selection of snacks for the road and the kids were happy. Beware that it is incredibly overstimulating and busy if you are bringing children in! This place is a trip! I stopped for gas and had to go see what was going on inside. There are easily a hundred gas pumps offering all the grades you want plus some you hardly ever see, such as racing fuel. Yes, they have Diesel and DEF at the pumps. Perfect place to charge your Tesla at one of their 24 Tesla Chargers while you shop and eat. Amazing coffee bar where you can customize your own cup of coffee. Eats include a Fudge Bar, Jerky bar, Brisket Sandwiches, Tacos, Burritos, and Hot Dogs. No indoor or outdoor seating though. You'll have to eat in your car. You can also shop for quality clothing, hunting supplies, and souvenirs. They have the most extensive offering of Lodge Cast Iron cooking pans, pots, Dutch ovens and accessories I've ever seen anywhere. They've also got a great selection of smokers, BBQs, Grills, and fire pits. Bathrooms! Lots of them. Clean! Spacious!! Plus there are nice paintings displayed for sale in the entrances to the restrooms, just like an art gallery. I've never seen so many freezers with bags of ice for travelers. The freezers surround the building! Everything from the fuel to the ice is priced below what you would pay elsewhere. All the employees were very courteous. This place is a "must stop" for travelers. Stopped in to this Buc-ee's for the first time on my way back home to Houston and every Buc-ee's is great. Great customer service, great variety, and some great values if you're there long enough to look around like I do. Always end up spending over $100 stopping at any buc-ee's. Found the cracked pecans in the larger bags today as well as a few great cups. Bought some fried pecans that are wonderful and worth the price paid. I also purchased pecan pralines. If you like purchasing items you usually don't find elsewhere, I recommend any Buc-ee's. I will stop in next time I'm in the area. read more

Oh Buc-ee's, you are the best place to visit while on a road trip and wished you would open one in California. If you think Buc-ee's is nothing special then most likely you have not been to one, have just only briefly visited it (maybe to buy gas or just to go pee and then leave), you have only been to a small Buc-ee's or you are one of those people who is just too cool to like things right? Well Buc-ee's is best know for clean restrooms, affordable gas and many, many gas pumps, yummy food items and large coffee bar, souvenirs galore and friendly customer service. While visiting Waxahachie (this is the closest one to Wax) for work, my husband took me here because he just knows how much I absolutely love Buc-ee's. This location is a fairly large location. After using the restroom when we arrived, I ended up purchasing some Texas coloring books for my nephews (I really enjoy getting unique souvenirs for my nephews when I travel), a few assorted snacks, a premade salad for lunch the next day and a Bucee's shirt. Almost every time I visit a Buc-ee's, I will purchase a shirt or sweater. Just one thing about this location is that I am a little disappointed that they do not have a lot of Buc-ee brand dog items. Compared to the location in New Braunfels, for example, there is a lot of cute Buc-ee brand dog items like toys, PJ's/ onsies, etc for dogs. But of course this may not interest everyone, but I am one of those people who love buying things for their dogs and think it's fun to wear matching items (yes I really am one of those people). Several gas pumps weren't working, many of the women's restroom stalls were out of order because they were "being cleaned" at the same time although no cleaning staff were seen, and several of the soda machines were out of order. I spoke to an assistant manager (seen earlier in the bathroom checking to see why the line was so long), and she said they're just busy. Wow. Gotta stop at Buc-ee's whenever there is one in the area. This visit we bought some of their amazing world famous beef jerky and for the first time tried their fudge - yum! Caramel Praline and Salted Caramel were our favorites! They do fudge to the max. Also tried one of the individual salted carmel chocolates, which was a real treat as it was a large piece of caramel dipped in chocolate and salted. I'll be sure to buy more of these on my next Buc-ee's visit. The kids always find some trinket that they have to have, this time it was a Buc-ee's necklace. This was my first time in Texas and visiting the legendary Buc-ee's gas station! It is indeed a very LARGE gas station with a large store, too. As freaking always this place is busy. You can roll in at 2 am and still have a crowd. But for very good reason; this place is legit. My only beef is the not so convenient on and off to get here when going south bound 45. Not a huge deal but it is what it is. BBQ is great. Their branded food items are great. Restrooms are the best in the state. There I said it. When I was a kid there were billboards in Texas that said "dq, a Texas stop sign". Buc-ee's is always worth a visit. On this trip, we hit three. I understand that people re-route and go out of their way to hit a Buc-ee's. I can see why. On this trip, without re-routing, we hit three (the other two, one is on 10 heading to/from Katy, the other is also on 45 near Madisonville, TX). I do like most aspects if Buc-ee's. Best of all is the always clean bathrooms. The food, most of which can be sampled, is pretty good too. Noteworthy is the fudge and jerky. Yum. Can you really ever dislike a Buc-ee's? It's nearly impossible and this location is no different. With the stellar gas prices and lanes alone, it's always worth a stop. On the contrary, this location seems to be a tad outdated compared to some - which is the main reasoning for the lower than usual rating. For instance, I was disappointed not to see the lights in the restrooms indicating the vacancy of the stall. However, food and snacks were still amazing.
