Buc-ee's was the best EVER! We were able to get gas, food and make a pit stop in one place. The bbq sandwiches were fresh and delicious. The restroom was very clean. Who would think that going to a gas station would be so exciting... but it was quite the experience! I was surprised how many items they have that would make great gifts! Toys, clothing, wood/marble/stone items such as cutting boards and drink sets. Lotions, soaps, beard care, Alabama themed items, plus lots more! Honestly, I didn't even see all there was to see in this trip. Let's keep it real, I was really there for the snacks! We loved the peach muffin, seemed like a vanilla base with pieces of peaches! The banana bread and oatmeal raisin cookies were also winners! Salty snacks: the ranch crackers and the spicy crackers were both delicious. We couldn't pick a favorite between the two. The Chipotle pimento cheese spread is also something I'll get again, just a tiny bit of heat, great flavor. There were so many other things to try, but I had to keep myself reigned in! I liked that they had pure cane sugar soda options. We tried the cola and the creamsicle ones this trip. Massive coffee (iced and hot) bar area with every topping, creamer, syrup option you could imagine. Lots of icee flavor options too! Will be a great fun treat in the summer. We didn't try any of their hot food options this time, but they looked like they had a lot of variety (not many vegetarian options though just FYI). Overall, it was a fun adventure since we were already in Leeds. Definitely will visit again when we are in the area! read more

Describing this rest stop is very similar to describing Dubai. Here's a few words that come to mind: Over the top. Excessive. Grandiose. Luxurious. State of the art. I mean all of that in a good way. I have never been to a clear rest stop bathroom. I lost count of the number of gas pump stations. The gift shop kept me occupied for 2 hours! There's so many exotic/unique items that are quite reasonably priced. I wish I could open up a franchise up north! To keep it short, this is an absolute must see attraction. Be sure to go out of your way to stop here during a road trip. read more

Alright here is the run down: I've never been here when it wasn't busy, but I've never waited longer than 5 minutes for anything. Restrooms are super nice, the gas is a good price, and they have just about any type of clothing with Buccee's face on it you could desire. We personally like to bring our own cups and fill them up with the various beverages so here is my opinion on said beverages: Hot coffee: pretty good. They have every creamer and syrup available you could ever want. They even offer decaf coffee which is not a common thing in gas station. Iced coffee: literal trash. Absolutely disgusting. It's just hot coffee that has ice beside it and is labeled "iced coffee". THE COFFEE IS HOT. It melted the ice immediately! And it's bitter on top of that. Buccees if you see this, PLEASE do a cold brew or something. I ended up pouring my iced coffee out because I couldn't even drink it it was so bad. Sodas: good, and Buccees has their own line of sodas as well. Frozen drinks: also good! They have a lot including pina colada. Other good things; the bbq sandwiches, the chili cheese fries, the chicken ranch wrap, and the jerky of course. Fudge is great and of course the cinnamon sugar nuts are the bomb. We always enjoy our trips to Buccees! read more

This store is not your average "gas station". There are over 100 gas pumps available which is great! They are spread out nicely so you don't have to get caught right in the middle of the busy section and worry about getting stuck. The stuff is set up in various sections including clothing, merchandise like candles and things for the home, hot food stations, coffee and drinks. I don't get it. Sure, it's a huge truck stop with truck stop trinkets and quick grab and go food options. Sure, they collectively have enough product to fill up 25 truck stops but does one really need this much variety in a single truck stop? I mean, after all, it's just a truck stop... why is this a destination? The food was meh... and with no place to sit down and enjoy it you are left with no choice but to tailgate... in a hot parking lot... eating a 'crowd favorite' turkey melt that tasted like a microwaved turkey and cheese sandwich...meh...next time I'll just go to a Flying J or Loves...less gimmick, just functionality... read more

Worst buc-ee's location I have ever been to. Brisket sandwich was literally 95% hard fat which was inedible, the cinnamon roll was old and slimy. Spent $45 on lunch for my family and all of the food was absolutely disgusting and most of it was thrown away without eating it. I took a detour on the way home from a road trip to check out this gas station and I was definitely not disappointed! The iced coffee bar was fantastic and if you're a fan of caramel corn, you will love the Beaver Nuggets! This location has everything you could find in a traditional gas station rest stop, in addition to a huge array of breakfast sandwiches, snacks, and bakery items. It's like the Cracker Barrel of gas stations! The merchandise areas are fun to go through but most everything is overpriced. I still always purchase a few things though . Good value on fountain drinks and some of the snacks. I was disappointed in the BBQ sandwich (especially after hearing people brag about how good it was). Maybe I just didn't get a good one that day. Everything is exceptionally clean and orderly with plenty of bathrooms to spare. Gas pumps are easily accessible. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area and have the time. read more

It's not perfect. But they still get 5 stars. The barbecue sandwiches are excellent as are many other sandwiches they offer. BUT, smart people will avoid their breakfast offerings. It's overpriced and tastes like the worst kind of mcdonalds dollar menu items. The employees are very friendly and well trained. If you ask where something is they'll say "follow me" and take you to your heart's desire. They earned five stars, but do yourself a favor and skip the breakfast items. My dogs wouldn't even eat the dried out, nasty tasting sausage biscuits. or breakfast burritos they sold me. Hopefully, (someday) they'll learn how to do breakfast. read more

It gets two stars, because I love the store and what it does for the community. If it wasn't for that they would get a one. I guess it's true when they say everything is better In Texas or bigger depending on whom you ask. I am from Oklahoma, so I am use to The Bucee's in Texas. There they sell fresh nuts, pulled pork by the lbs and etc!! They cook the food in front of you and you have a full menu to order from. The store smells so good! The one In Alabama is like a knock off version. It was nothing special. Bathrooms were clean, but workers weren't friendly. Wasn't worth the stop. read more

Well for us it didn't live up to the hype. We drove a long way to check it out. The beef jerky didn't seem quite done enough. All of the flavors seemed to be too sweet and tasted about the same too. It's priced a tad high . It was so unbelievably crowded in there but it was the weekend. The barbecue brisket was amazingly good and about $6 each. The peach muffin was really good. The beaver nuggets weren't that good to us. Tasted like cracker jacks. I got a cute T-shirt and a cap. I would probably stop at one if I were traveling but won't go back just to go. It's like the Super Walmart of gas stations, but on steroids. We've been waiting for our next trip partially so that we could stop here. There's sooooo much to spend your money on, they make sure of that. From 30 different flavors of fresh beef jerky to a fresh meats carving shop, gifts and clothes, candy and ice cream, beer and wine, a bakery, camping and hiking gear and oh yeah, GAS! There's definitely something for everyone. Now it's not like Loves or Flying J's where there's showers or sitting rooms, at least not that I could see. Buc-ee's! A Texas national treasure and a soon to be Alabama tourist destination! This place is what happens when Walmart meets Disneyland. It's quite the experience. While not all of their food s great I did enjoy their sausage on a stick, brisket sandwiches, kalaches and brisket breakfast tacos. I wasn't a fan of their banana pudding, jerky or fudge. I will say their buc-ee apparel is damn reasonable and fairly nice considering the price. If you're cruising down the 20 then you will have to stop and visit this wonderland of Americana. read more

Was traveling down 20 and saw Buc-Ed's and if you know anything about this place, it has some of the cleanest bathrooms you will come across (hence the stop). They usually have some of the cheapest gas and walking into the place is like the amusement park of gas stations. Coffee, multiple flavors, sodas, slushes, jerky (tons to chose from), candy - check - but then you get "homemade" fudge, brisket sandwiches, sausage on a stick, and then if you forgot to pick up a gift you can get that as well. Need a cooler, they got it. Seriously you can spend lot of time here and possibly lose your kids. So the place is so great, why the 3 stars? Well apparently I came as they were just opening and folks in Alabama ain't use to a store like this, so it was PACKED to the brim, no social distancing, most folks weren't wearing masks and masks were being enforced - and we are still in the midst of a pandemic!!! Would I stop and use the bathrooms and get gas again, sure but I wouldn't spend the time I usually do picking up and looking at things like I normally would. By the way, if you go, get some Buc-ee nuts and thank me later. read more

I go to Buc-Ees at least once a week, I stopped in yesterday for gas n a brisket samich, all was good, the samich was great! I stopped in on my way home this morning for gas and a breakfast samich, horrible, the samich was wet, not moist but wet! So much so the paper wrapper was soaked thru n torn open. When I bit into the samich , it was soaking wet, I had to spit it out! I'll try again, bcz everything can be bad from time to time, but check your samiches for excess moisture, you'll be sorry if you don't. read more

Why you go: good gas prices right off I20 and with over 100 pumps, you literally never have to wait on a pump. Why you keep going back: once you go inside, you'll think all other gas stations are subpar. Bucee's has everything! It's like a store, a gas station, and a restaurant all mixed into one. It's fun to stop at Bucees and grab some snacks/drinks. We got sandwiches this time and/....ehhh. Bbq was pretty bad. Brisket was ok but also all fat. The melt would have been pretty good I think but it was really stale. The peach pie was good and would have been really good if you could get a fresh one I think. This place is awesome! Coolest gas station we've visited. It's as if Walmart had a baby with 7-11. Clean, yummy treats, literally watching the Brisket and pulled pork and turkey being cooked made into a sandwich, fresh. Plenty of parking and gas pumps. Staff was really friendly as well. Bathrooms are immaculate and roomy. Cashiers are very quick and friendly as well. Got the yogurt covered almonds, to die for. It's a long way from home for us but we'll be sure to pass through just to go to buc-ee's. read more

One fun place! We love Buc-ee's! It was crazy busy...you could hardly walk through. In spite of that the restroom was out of this world clean! No waiting! The food was so good and no trouble getting served even with all the people. First time trying the banana pudding but not the last!! It was delicious. Check out was a breeze. I don't know how they do it. My husband loves the jerky and I love the pecans so we both left happy. It's so fun to break up the drive with a trip to Buc-ee's! Ok first of all nobody told me about the brisket! I never thought I'd LOVE LOVE love some food at a gas station. I had the brisket wrap for breakfast on my way into Hoover and I got the brisket sandwich on my way out. I do not understand how or even where do they cook the brisket to taste so good like that. Do the have a secret smoker hidden outside somewhere? It is delicious. Yum and I'm not a gas station food kinda girl. I gotta get my boss to send me on another trip! The customer service is really good as well. They greet you with a smile and a friendly good morning glad you're here and by the way the restrooms are super clean they have someone cleaning all the time. You can buy almost anything here which is crazy..I guess I can understand why the lines are so long to get into the place. You should definitely go try the brisket if nothing else!
