I haven't been to one Buc-ee's that wasn't clean. If you like soda pop, it's cheap at the soda fountain. From tshirts, hats, aprons, keychains, toys, brownies, fudge, candy, burritos, cupcakes, muffins, lemon pepper turkey jerky, chips, sandwiches, brisket, turkey and a plethora of other things.... They serve the special from 11-2 or until they sell out. They provide the option to call in, stop by to prepay, or walk-in based on what's available after pre-orders. Today's soul food menu consisted of baked chicken over rice, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and cornbread for $14.99. The portions size was huge, enough to eat twice from the plate. The food was served in Styrofoam plates with dividers with individual wrapped utensils and salt & pepper packets. Condiments were available as well. Drink was not included, but since the location is inside a gas station, there was many options to choose from. The baked chicken was a chicken breast that was bigger than the size of my hand. The chicken was so moist and tender, which made it easier to chew. Gravy was poured on top of the seasoned, fluffy yellow rice and went perfect for the entire dish. The greens are full of flavor and pair so well with the semi-sweet cornbread square. The macaroni and cheese was not as moist and cheesy as I would like but I eat it and enjoyed. If I'm driving by (especially depending on the time of day - lunch/after work) I'd probably pass. Can be a little time consuming getting out of here. The convenience store is sized similar to most and has the same selection of ships, candy, drinks, jerky and a few house hold odds and ends. Prices are on par with any other location. Surprisingly they have a rather large selection of wine by the bottle if you're interested. The staff has been friendly every time we've been here. Greeting us when we walk in, asking if they can help us find anything and friendly when we check out. Even if we have just walked in to use the restroom they have been friendly. Overall a good location and we will continue to use when we are in the area.
