Great doctor. Still trying to find where she went in her new practice she takes the time to discuss and talk to you not at you.

After my beloved PCP retired/moved out of state, I decided to try Bridlewood Family Healthcare due…read moreto proximity to home and because my prior PCP had stated that my medical records would be transferred there. The front desk staff was nice and the MAs friendly. They apologized and thanked me when I mentioned that I found a 6 day old urine sample in the restroom. Dr. Glaser was not friendly towards me. My visit was to be a new patient physical. He did not engage or try to get to know me at all. My face to face time with him was less than 10 minutes, and the only thing memorable that he said was that my insurance might not pay for my updated tetanus shot (they did). I went downstairs to do lab work and was there for about 30 minutes when they finally realized that Dr. Glaser did not order lab work because I had done lab work 7 months prior. Fairly certain that lab work is part of a physical...but whatever. I had already made up my mind that this man would not be my new PCP. A PCP should be warm and engaging, and someone who will listen to their patients when they are concerned about something - Dr. Glaser checked none of these boxes. Fast forward a few weeks later to the billing nightmare that followed, my insurance covers an annual physical (including the lab work he wouldn't order) 100%...but the first bill was coded as a new patient appointment, but they left the physical off. So I had to call the office about this...they made my patient responsibility $0 in their system, but then rebilled my insurance company with duplicate charges and overbilled by almost triple. I decided to call BCBS directly since I had yet to find a competent individual to help me at the practice. The insurance rep told me that one of the codes used on the new bill was for a psychiatric evaluation...OMG! I explained the whole situation again, and BCBS filed a grievance and the billing did eventually get situated. I have talked to others who have noticed similar billing issues on their statements from this practice...so definitely watch your EOBs here. Unreported overbilling is sadly something that happens too often in the medical world. I have given up on ever seeing my 7+ years of medical records from my prior PCP. I am fairly certain they went into an abyss of some sort in this Bridlewood office of confusion.

But if you use the Healow app, the docs are pretty quick to respond plus your care needs are documented. I started using Bridlewood, Dr. Glaser and his staff because the last office I was at didn't listen to me. I'm diabetic and trying to find the right medication has been much trial and error but my last office brushed off my errors. So when I first started with Bridlewood, Michelle Hampton heard me and started me on my way to finding what worked. I was sad to lose Victoria Thomas but it was an easy transition back to Michelle and they really do care. I have trouble with getting medication but that's due to my insurance not the office. Michelle and her team have been in constant communication with me and are eager to help where they can. I've had nothing but a pleasant and stress free experience working with the Bridlewood staff. My one complaint would be that I never got an Amazon gift card!

This isn't to say it's what you want to hear, but that you should hear. But even with having to be a little tough at times with patients like me that is afraid of getting blood drawn, she still makes me glad she is my doctor. Because she will make sure that both her and her wonderful staff will not let me forget what lab tests I need done. I saw a different GP in Southlake before coming to see Dr Sharif and it's because of this other doctor that I know I'm lucky that Dr Sharif is on my side. The other doctor didn't care at all what happened to me during one of the most stressful times in my life. The other doctor didn't want the complicated patients. But Dr Sharif doesn't seem to shy away from patients that may be hurting both physically and mentally. Anyway, Dr Sharif is by far the best GP/Internist I've found in the area. Thank you Dr Sharif and staff for being there for me during both the good times and bad. Stay safe and healthy during these unusual times. :)

Took her off of a psych med that she had been on for 17 years without telling anybody. Tried to add a psych med on for nerve pain without adjusting current psych meds. More than once added on a medication she was allergic to despite repeated family warnings and had an idea to re-create a weight loss medication made of multiple drugs, without adjusting the levels to what was in the medication she was trying to duplicate. Listening to the patient is great but when you don't listen to the patient caregivers you miss a lot of really important information that is pertinent to caring for the patient. Especially with geriatric patients that are confused. When my mother presented with severe back pain, she ordered muscle relaxers and PT instead of doing imaging. That back pain turned out to be metastatic cancer that killed my mom. I was going to write this review before my mom died, but that is just the icing on the cake. Repeated frustrating visits with this doctor. You just don't blow off the patient caregivers or change routine psychiatric meds without telling anyone. Poor management across providers. NOT OK!!! Don't turn your back for a second with geriatric loved ones!

She is young but not just out of medical school. When I go to see her she has spent 45 minutes every time with me. I don't remember any doctor spending that much time in a room with me. Not even my brain surgeon! I have never had to wait to see her. Also she does all the lab work in her office and her lab technician is top notch. I love her! I am hard to drawn blood from and she gets it every time on the 1st draw. I don't even feel the pinch. Pretty wonderful for me! It is always a pleasure to go see Dr. Harvey. She does research and stays up on the medical industry. Dr. Harvey will take your blood work seriously. She will not wait until something gets our of control before she addresses it. I also like the fact that she will do her best to work with you to combat any issue you have with diet and or exercise before she prescribes medication if that is possible. I hope this is the kind of doctor you are looking for because it would be your loss if you did not take the opportunity to try Dr. Harvey. She is the Dr. you have been looking for. It was for me.

Second of all, these physicians will do everything they can to get money out of you. That being said, I was going to this office (for around 2-3 years) with the intention of getting my thyroid diagnosed/under control. After multiple blood tests, scans, and referrals to a specialist (mind you the "specialist" they sent me to just told me I was allergic to gluten and sent me on my way) they told me I was fine. I felt like I was being dramatic because I did not FEEL fine, but they insisted that I was okay. Cool, great, moving on.
