After my beloved PCP retired/moved out of state, I decided to try Bridlewood Family Healthcare due…read moreto proximity to home and because my prior PCP had stated that my medical records would be transferred there. The front desk staff was nice and the MAs friendly. They apologized and thanked me when I mentioned that I found a 6 day old urine sample in the restroom. Dr. Glaser was not friendly towards me. My visit was to be a new patient physical. He did not engage or try to get to know me at all. My face to face time with him was less than 10 minutes, and the only thing memorable that he said was that my insurance might not pay for my updated tetanus shot (they did). I went downstairs to do lab work and was there for about 30 minutes when they finally realized that Dr. Glaser did not order lab work because I had done lab work 7 months prior. Fairly certain that lab work is part of a physical...but whatever. I had already made up my mind that this man would not be my new PCP. A PCP should be warm and engaging, and someone who will listen to their patients when they are concerned about something - Dr. Glaser checked none of these boxes. Fast forward a few weeks later to the billing nightmare that followed, my insurance covers an annual physical (including the lab work he wouldn't order) 100%...but the first bill was coded as a new patient appointment, but they left the physical off. So I had to call the office about this...they made my patient responsibility $0 in their system, but then rebilled my insurance company with duplicate charges and overbilled by almost triple. I decided to call BCBS directly since I had yet to find a competent individual to help me at the practice. The insurance rep told me that one of the codes used on the new bill was for a psychiatric evaluation...OMG! I explained the whole situation again, and BCBS filed a grievance and the billing did eventually get situated. I have talked to others who have noticed similar billing issues on their statements from this practice...so definitely watch your EOBs here. Unreported overbilling is sadly something that happens too often in the medical world. I have given up on ever seeing my 7+ years of medical records from my prior PCP. I am fairly certain they went into an abyss of some sort in this Bridlewood office of confusion.

I've been going here for about 4 years now and I love this office. I've never had a bad experience…read more Getting in touch with someone on the phone can be frustrating for those that are not technically inclined. But if you use the Healow app, the docs are pretty quick to respond plus your care needs are documented. I started using Bridlewood, Dr. Glaser and his staff because the last office I was at didn't listen to me. I'm diabetic and trying to find the right medication has been much trial and error but my last office brushed off my errors. So when I first started with Bridlewood, Michelle Hampton heard me and started me on my way to finding what worked. I was sad to lose Victoria Thomas but it was an easy transition back to Michelle and they really do care. I have trouble with getting medication but that's due to my insurance not the office. Michelle and her team have been in constant communication with me and are eager to help where they can. I've had nothing but a pleasant and stress free experience working with the Bridlewood staff. My one complaint would be that I never got an Amazon gift card!

That is BS, and even if it wasn't, I'm private pay so wouln't be informed. They are telling me I'm now under a new Dr. Gillem, who I have never met and "oh, her first available is months out!!" I understand Dr. Gillem is supposed to be a good Dr. but this was handled badlly. Dr. Bucan has been around this are for years and was one of the last physician's to go under corporate umbrella instead of her own practive. Such is the way the whole field has gone for many reasons. So first it was USMD which was awful with central intake, could not get direct to FM office. Instead, calling a center in Irviing and then hope they got the message right and gave it to the right person. The other option is to use the portal. I like that but again, it's only as good as the people on the other end. I had hopes when they went under Well Med. At least now you can contact the office directly and they have been friendly but in a pickle themselves. They are dealing with a lot of persons that are devastated. I had a telephonic visit with Dr. Bucan in March and there was nothing mentioned of her leaving. I've been with her so long, I think she would have told me and all of her patients if she could. She is a rare gem of a doctor as far as her knowledge, compassion and 'bedside' manner. Yes, she could run behind which probably was affecting their almighty $, because she LISTENS and takes time with her patients. She explains things in a way a lay person can understand. If I find her I will come back to post.

I am trying to be a grown person, doing grown people things, so I finally decided to find a doctor…read more And not because I was dying or broken, but to establish a history and find someone who will care about things like my potassium levels. I didn't even know I had a potassium level. I decided on this location purely because it is close to where I live and I am trying not to give myself excuses to bail. I swear I am not afraid of doctors. I found Dr. Robinson on my insurance website. I could book my appointment, fill out my paperwork before I came in, everything was easy peasy. I didn't have to wait long before I was taken back and everyone was very friendly. It wasn't long before Dr. Robinson came in and sat down for a chat. I was shocked. She wanted to go over all my history. Like, all of it. She checked all my vitals and did her doctorly things. I don't know that I have ever spent that much time with a doc, or I should say I don't know that a doctor has every spent that much time with ME. I even agreed to a tetanus shot, and got a sucker. Because I'm brave. I didn't know I was going to be giving up blood and had had a coffee, so I had to come back two days later to give it up. The nurse I had seen previously saw me waiting and stopped by to say hello. All in all it was a lovely experience and I promise I will come back.
