They really do a lot for the community here, offering all kinds of programs for all ages. Music…read morelessons for kids, games for adults, dancing for the seniors. I love coming here for their fundraisers . Everyone gets involved, and the food and service is great. I want a price here once, but I don't need it back to the community because of all the great work they do.

For shame, RF! UCC = United Community Center = "... a comprehensive social service agency serving the families of Milwaukee's south side. Programs range from education to elder programs, meeting the needs of three year olds to 93 year olds and everyone in between." So what that means, exactly? Bruce-Guadalupe community school, Latino Arts Inc., Cafe el Sol, Walker Square Neighborhood Development Initiative, elder/youth programs and so much more. While all of these community-centric programs and pursuits are not just worthwhile (they're also necessary!), it really warms my goofy, cynical little heart to know that there are arts programs for children and young adults alive and well right down the street. Latino Arts puts on a number of shows and exhibitions throughout the year... so if you're an MKE culture vulture, you should definitely consider checking out their schedule! It's here: http://www.latinoartsinc.org/home.htm They bring in nationally-recognized acts; the music is stellar, and I really enjoyed the gallery/art on display this past weekend. Also of note? I'm pretty excited about the Dia de los Muertos/Ofrendas. Cultural, community goodness on the south side, y'all!
