A friend suggested Adobi so I ventured out to see if they had what I needed. I opened the door and an entire display was right next to the door with everything I needed on it! I felt like I'd searched the world high and low for these bulbs and I was elated to see they're right here at a local shop. I browsed around and was also pleased to see they had plenty of other replacement parts if I'd ever need them for the electrical inner-workings of the ceramics I've inherited. The workers were kind and very knowledgeable, everybody was very COVID-compliant and I am sure I will be back.

Took a family member here for their birthday. We all picked out a piece of pottery and took them to…read morethe counter and paid. It was a Saturday, so there was a little wait for a table. Since it was our first time, they explained everything to us. We ended up being there for over 5 hours, while the birthday girl painted her piece in great detail. What was really nice is that the staff left us alone, so there was no pressure to hurry up and leave. Everyone agreed it was fun, and we'd all do it again. It only took a few days for our pottery to be ready to pick up. Overall a great experience.

Unlimited paint and the staff helped both of us with templates for our designs. It wasn't too crowded and we went on an early Friday Evening. It was peaceful and I feel like this is something that I can do often! I highly recommend this for kids of all ages. I love that she was able to navigate a lot of the stuff independently because it gave her extra creative freedom not having to ask for help to get paint and figure out things that she wanted to add to her pieces. Here's my piece that she helped me with. It was $10. Unlimited paint and supplies to help get it it finished. They have a 4 day turn around period, but if you call the night before the pickup date. It may be ready earlier however 4 days is the turnaround period.

Cameo Gallery has some wicked glass art. I love the shapes of the pieces. Many of them remind me of…read moreswans. They also have these large vases with long, pointy-sphered tips. The colors are stunning. This is craftsmanship at its finest. I'm amazed at the delicate, intricate, imaginative shapes that take place here. Cameo has other art like bronze sculptures and framed prints, but it's really all about the glass. They have vases, platters, paperweights, jewelry, etc. You need to see this place to believe it. Prices are high, so I mainly go in just to look at what's new and get my own creative juices flowing. They don't really mind that kind of thing. If you go, be sure to go upstairs too. There's a tiny, spiral staircase near the back that I didn't even notice the first few times I visited. I must have been too busy drooling over the glass sculptures in the front window. That reminds me, there are large windows on either side of this corner shop; they light up the gallery to show the pieces better, and they're great for window shopping. Usually there's just one consultant in the shop, but if you go on a Gallery Hop night, you'll find lots of workers there.

I mean, god I don't know…read more There are these glass sculptures that look like primordial sea creatures, but more perfect than anything that evolution could ever manifest. Too amazing for me to even consider wanting. Besides the 3 to 4 thousand dollar price tags, I simply don't deserve them. It's like seeing a 500 year old Redwood and wanting to take it home with you. No, it's more perfect in the forest. I spoke for a bit with Shawn, the guy behind the counter. He said a good portion of the offerings are from local artists (including the sculptures I was most impressed by). The jewelry in the front case is primarily made by a local teacher, and it's professional grade stuff. Cameo is definitely worth a stop.

Heads up: New location and new name!…read more Previously known throughout Columbus as Glass Axis, now the Columbus Glass Art Center, is a non-profit org offering glass blowing and glass art classes to the general public, no membership needed! I went to their Grand Opening of their new building and the space, and it's fantastic! Ample space for several different glass art technique classes. The teachers I met are absolutely wonderful, too! Willing to help/guide if necessary, creative minds, and just plain genuine and personable. I got the chance to make a glass mosaic (think glass art to hand in a window) and a simple smoking pipe (torch melting glass and all!), and it was phenomenal! I'm seriously looking into taking a few classes; and, besides, I know my money is going to an excellent org that's promoting art, culture, and creative partnerships throughout central Ohio!

The studio is set up in two sections/suites that are connected inside. It is such a fun, inspiring, and inviting atmosphere. This trip I stopped in to purchase one of Tiffany's (the owner's) recycled candles that she makes. The are some of my favorites. Wanderlust Studio is full art, candles, ceramics, cards, clothing & accessories, and so much more that is available for purchase. Always fun to stop in and see what's new and what Tiffany has lined up for the month. Definitely recommend stopping in and taking a look around and see what you can find.

She was super friendly and she showed us around the shop. She upcycles items like Coke cans to make candles. Also, all the painting in the shop are from local artists. This place also hosts events like open mic nights and dance parties. If you want something unique and one of a kind for a gift or for yourself, you definitely need to check this place out.

I came here on a Thursday evening just to do something creative and explore Columbus a bit more. Despite the GPS getting me there fine, i struggled a bit to find the entrance itself but came in to find a big bright studio full of color and fun paintings, with the instructor on the phone helping other lost folks guidance on how to get there. I did manage to find signs that guided me to the entrance thankfully! The instructor and owner introduced herself and we eventually got started. She took us step by step and broke down each step to the size of brush and way to do each technique on the canvas. She walked around and helped all of us along the way. It was a small class of 7 so we got lots of one-on-one attention but I can see how in a more packed class that would be a challenge. She was very patient, encouraging, and super complimentary which I loved! She didn't rush us out of the studio even though we ran late, and since we were a small class she even gifted us a free glitter application on our paintings which is normally $1 extra. The cool thing is she also sells older paintings for $5, so you can check out previous projects and shop before, during, and after you paint. It's a BYOB kind of place but she has corkscrews, wine glasses, and a deal with the bar next door if you choose to order food. The only negative is that the class was supposed to start at 6:30 but we didn't start until after 7 which ended up having us end much later than 9:30, but nothing that would deter me from coming back here and bringing friends as well!
