My wife and I were on a hunt for some landscape rock yesterday and found this gem of a business. The place was organized for easy access to the materials and they have a good selection to choose from, in pallets or by the piece. We had some questions so we visited the office and were helped immediately. They had some great ideas to share with us and suggested we walk the yard with one of their employees. And that's where we met Mateo, the yard manager. He was extremely helpful with great ideas about our project and took the time to walk us through some solid choices to consider. Order from this place and you will get a surprise instead of what you ordered. I bought 5.5 yards of 1-3" Colorado and I got this crap, 4-6", dirt and large white stones. They were kind enough to replace less than half and they still sent the wrong size. Lesson learned! read more

Buckhorn, as a partner to the SAWS Patio Paving initiative, was a very disappointing experience. We went there to get our paving stones based on the SAWS coupon program and were a bit surprised at the cost we had to consume. This was not Buckhorn's fault. But what disappointed me is the young lady that was working with us and telling us about a suggested stone to pave out patio was a little less than acceptable in customer service. She encouraged us on the stone to take and we went to the side to assess our options. We finally did decide to go with it and when we went back, she claimed she did not have it. What a disappointment, why tell us about something you don't have. Then she abruptly went off to help another customer and we noticed she went above and beyond for them....must have been our appearance, or our own ignorance. Incidentally, we left back into San Antonio and found another SAWS partner and the price was significantly cheaper. read more

Beware. Advertises military, police, and fire discounts but when you go there it is only on select items. Very disappointing.

Purchase 4 yards of 2" shadow rock in April 2021for some backyard pathways but when it was delivered the size of the rock was a little bigger that what was on their outside sample displays so it wouldn't work for what we needed. I went back and informed them about the problem and they agreed that the shadow rock that was delivered was a bit bigger than advertised. I was assisted by Chelsea Aguilar who was very understanding and informed me that she would talk to the general manager and get back with me. The following morning she called and when I went in she said that they were willing to work with me. Long story short, I ended up getting the smaller 1" shadow rock at a discount and on top of that she waived the delivery fee. She turned out what could have been a bad experience into a great experience. We will definitely keep supporting this business and will recommend it to our friends. I ordered 2 yards of top soil to be delivered to my house Friday afternoon after lunch. Well I received a call around 10am saying they wanted to deliver earlier. I said that would be okay, as long as they put the dirt in the driveway or the grass. I specifically said that the dirt can not be placed on the street, HOA has a $500 fine.. She said that would not be an issue.. I specifically said if there is any issue please call bc i planned on being there at noon to make sure the dirt was placed in the correct area. Well my neighbor sent me a picture of the dirt in the street and in between both our property lines.. I had to hire to labors last min to move the dirt off the street before getting fined, which cost me $100. When I called to complain the young lady who answered the phone told me that the driver made a judgment call bc a car was parked in the drive way, well the car he said was parked in the drive was mine and i know it was parked in the street. When I told her this she gave me an alternate reason, which was that my drywall contractors told him to put it there. Well I hate to say it but they told me that they told the driver that they were not the owners and didn't know anything. I told the young lady that i needed a manager to call me.. She assured me that a manager would call me back before the end of the day.. 5hrs later no call, so I called back young lady told that the manager was real busy but was aware of the situation and would call me.. Saturday at 2pm still no call, so I call back and finally get a hold of the manager, She said she was unaware that she had to call me. WOW The whole time I was waiting to get a call back, I was waiting for nothing. I was going to settle for a refund on the delivery, instead I'm being asked for pics to prove my story.... Point blank instructions were to dumb in the drive way or in the yard... Instead it was dumped in the street and if it wasn't for my neighbor calling me, I would have gotten a $500 fine...
