Next I moved on to trying botox injections with Dr. Lori and I am absolutely obsessed. I had wrinkles on my forehead that absolutely drove me crazy. Dr. Lori was great about giving me enough to smooth out the creases and look great without overdoing it and keeping it natural looking. I will definitely be getting these again once they wear off. The pricing here is great too! The newest thing that I have tried at Refresh Wellness is their 12 week weight loss program with Shawn. I was told that on average, participants lose 25 lbs -which to be honest when I first heard it all I could think of was - bullshit. Howeverrrr, I'm only 2 weeks in but I'm inclined to believe it's the real deal! Shawn outlines what you should be eating and how you can change your lifestyle to lose weight and keep it off. I have to admit that I have tried every diet under the sun in the past two years as well as all kinds of crazy exercise regimens that have had zero impact on my weight loss efforts. I followed Shawn's directions and as promised, the weight has been melting off. Thus far I have lost 8 lbs total (4 lbs per week!) and I have been so crazy at work and traveling across the country every week for work that I haven't had time to workout. This diet is the easiest thing I've ever done and the weight is coming off. The staff are very professional and…read moreunderstanding (I have two little ones so getting to places on time can be trying- they also have late hours, and have stayed even later for me after I was stuck in traffic on the way to an appointment). The results of the laser hair removal were noticeable after just the first treatment! I could not believe how much less I needed to shave. I wish I did this when I was 18! The staff also make sure to fully explain the treatments and continuously check to ensure a customer is not uncomfortable (the treatments can be a bit painful- but so so so worth it!)

But unfortunately, I've learned something that has completely changed my view on the company. It turns out they've been employing the infamous TikTok personality "Celebritea Blinds," aka Amanda T.P. as their marketing director. This is the woman who has been spreading harmful and offensive rumors about people of color for years, especially targeting Nicki Minaj and other POC for her own monetary gain. I can't, in good conscience, support a business that gives this kind of behavior a platform. So, while I've enjoyed my treatments here, I'll be taking my business elsewhere based on the morals of RMA. It's a shame because I was genuinely happy with my results, but I just can't ignore the bigger picture, and wrong is wrong. If you're considering this place, definitely do your research, because actions like these matter. Hopefully RMA takes this situation seriously.

Yesterday I received a phone call 2 hours before my appointment and was asked to come in earlier since "the aesthetician's clients cancelled due to Covid, and she doesn't really want to stay until 6:15pm." I was in utter disbelief by that statement! If my appointment is at 6:15, I expect to be treated at that time, but I guess it was more important for the aesthetician to leave early.
