dr. Butler was very nice and caring and concise in supporting my requirement to get an MRI. However when I scheduled the MRI the office staff or nurse assistant or whoever is supposed to handle this function never took care of the pre-authorization and then the MRI canceled the Appt. I contacted the office three times and got absolutely nowhere with getting them to escalate this issue of getting a pre-authorization. I was in a lot of pain and I really needed to get this done. And I explain to them the reason I was going to a secondary Dr was because I wasn't getting a lot of progress getting into see someone at Rothman. if you want timely follow up care by the office personnel such as preauths and returning phone calls, I would avoid this office completely. read more

I just started going to Dr. Horn for a problem with my knee. She examined it, took an X-ray and determined it was arthritis. She recommended shots. The medication takes about 4/6 weeks to get and requires 3 visits so Dr Horn gave me a cortisone shot. Appointment: I was take ON TIME taken to a room, an assistant set up my injection and the doctor came in, not an hour later but within 5 or so minutes. I thought I may have ruptured my Achilles in August 2020. I was referred to Bucks Co. Ortho through a friend. They assigned Dr. Susan Griffith to my case. It turned out I had not ruptured it at that point, so they sent me home with no care recommendations of how to avoid further injury. During that time, I had some calf pain and found out I had a DVT in a small vein in my calf. Shortly after this discovery, I did indeed rupture his Achilles. I went back to Bucks Co. Ortho to have this confirmed. Once receiving an MRI, Dr. Griffith sent me home without a boot. Upon my next visit to follow-up and review my MRI she was surprised that she herself had not already fitted me for a boot upon my last visit and finally gave me one. My vein specialist would not sign off on the surgery, and recommend I wait at least 3 months after starting a blood thinner. I was worried about waiting that long and was under the impression that I could move forward with surgery regardless. Bucks Co. Ortho scheduled the surgery for a Monday. They assured me that they would be coordinating with the vein specialist to get the paperwork they needed. The Friday before surgery, Bucks Co. Ortho called to let me know that they still hadn't received approval from the vein specialist. They told me to call him and get the paperwork they needed. Dr. Griffith then got on the phone with me and was extremely condescending. She told me that if I couldn't get approval from the vein specialist then she could not do the surgery and that would be 'ruining her schedule for the week.' She also said to me, "If my boss knew I were spending this much time discussing this with you I would be in big trouble." She then told me how to get approval from the vein specialist. She said, "Get a piece of paper and write this down: LOW...RISK...he needs to give you something saying LOW...RISK, did you get that?" She continued to speak me in a very passive aggressive tone. I spoke to the vein specialist and he said he would not be signing off and that he truly didn't recommend the surgery right now. It really floored my wife and I that this doctor was willing to move forward with the surgery with no regard to the blood clot in my leg and the risks of the surgery. I let Bucks Co. Ortho know that the vein specialist would not sign off. From there, surgery was obviously cancelled. Bucks Co. Ortho NEVER followed-up with me at any point after this. Not to see if I was okay, after the 3 months to get me scheduled for surgery, nothing. I then went to Rothman where they created a thorough care plan with instructions until surgery. We continue to receive bills from Bucks Co. Ortho that have been paid for. My wife works in healthcare and particularly guaranteeing patient satisfaction and we agreed that this practice, and particularly this doctor made it very clear that they were not interested in my wellbeing. Any doctor that can talk to a patient like that and think that they are interested in being under the knife with her, needs a refresher in bedside manner. read more

have been here before and had good service from dr griffin but in april 2022 went to see ritter for tennis elbow - they gave me a useless elbow brace and billed me $120.00 each (the exact model sells for @25.00 online). it took them 4 months to bill me (billing office is now in ohio). i told them i wanted to return them as i was not using them - they called me pretending to be the doctors office (caller id ) and said it had been too long for me to return them - so they are now doing remainder billing to ripoff patients. read more

March 16th I hurt myself, March 17th I could no longer walk or care for myself at all so I went to see my family DR which really only prolonged my suffering. So now I am in a wheelchair since March 17th, 2019. So now it is time for Doylestown Emergency room. The ER tells me they can't do an MRI because my family DR has to write me prescription for an MRI or the insurance company won't cover it. So I get the script for the MRI and WOW, my condition had got so bad that an MRI was no longer possible. Due to my inability to lay flat and keep my legs flat. So they suggest a Pain Management specialist who's first question was, "why are you here, I am the 8th DR you should see, not the 2nd or 3rd". However, I did walk away learning they could just do a catscan on my spine and get the same answers which I can do. So got my catscan STAT and Family DR calls and says it shows damage but nothing relative to completely disabling pain from my lumbar spine down to my right big toe so it has nothing to do with what's causing this. Back to ER, 6 trips total to the ER and finally was referred here. Due to my situation being so bad they had me scheduled for a consult today @ 9:15am with Dr. STHALEKAR whom is the most caring, concerned, genuine DR's I have ever seen. He read the notes prior to me there and listened and immediately knew the seriousness of the issue and desperation I was in for answers. He went ahead and added me to an already full day as the last patient to receive minor outpatient surgery at their surgery center. I arrive to nothing but smiling, friendly, happy faces all of whom made me feel comfortable and were so happy that they had the opportunity to help me being as I am in such a dire position. Dr. Sthalekar and his entire surgery staff are absolutely amazing. Not ashamed to say I was brought to tears on my way home because I had lost hope in the medical system and this entire experience with Dr. Sthalekar and his crew gave me hope and the knowledge of knowing I will be ok and walk again soon enough. If you want to be heard by a DR who is extremely caring, treats you as an equal, and will ensure you get 110% of his attention regarding your condition then based off my experience this is where you need to be. Before I left I was asked to stand straight up out of my wheelchair withba nurse on either side. I did and asked to March wm2 times with each leg and did. I had full knee replacement very recently. Dr Burrows performed the surgery. He was wonderful. In meeting with him to discuss the surgery and before the operation I found him to be very informative and personal. He even personally called me the day after I got home to make sure that I was doing okay. I have very little pain and I'm told that the incision is healing nicely. Thanks Dr Burrows! I have been to other doctors in the practice before for other problems I've had with my back and knees and they have all been great to deal with. The staff is wonderful also. I think its because of the caring attitude of everyone at the practice, especially Dr. Burrows, that I am able to do so well.
