Dr. Boylan is HORRIBLE!!!!! Has not yet called me to tell me the results of my MRI!!!! I guess he is waiting for my next appointment that isn't until the end of February, meanwhile I am in excruciating pain and all he did at the first appointment was tell me to take an over the counter medicine that does not help!!!! I am sick of these doctors making BLACK women suffer in pain!!!!! It's frustrating and depressing because he gets paid by my insurance when he has NOT helped me!!!!!! If you are a minority I DO NOT recommend this doctor!!!!! I called in to ask for a medication that actually works, and I was ignored for days, with his office saying he was in surgery's! He has now told his staff to tell me to call my PCP and ask her for medicine! I am reporting him to my insurance because of his horrible practices!!!!! I will NOT be going back into this office by any means!!!!!! read more

They will not treat my hip pain ( a 10) until an MRI is done. They did nothing to help me schedule that. Doylestown Hospitial cannot schedule the MRI until 1/27. After that, the specialist at BCOS, can not see me till 2/2. So here I am in 10 pain, with noone to turn to help me sooner. I called 5 otherMRI services , without luck. read more

Upon entering the office, the receptionist was having a difficult time running a gentleman's card. After a few tries, he told her it didn't have a chip in a nice tone. She responded, "it would have been nice if you told me before that I should swipe. I mean you could have said something.' I was taken aback by how rude she was with him over swiping a card. Then it was my turn....I had an appointment a week ago here for my lower back. I was informed I needed an MRI which I scheduled for the following day. Immediately after scheduling MRI, I walked back into the office to schedule my follow up. I was given an appointment a week later. The receptionist says I never scheduled. I informed her of what happened and another receptionist comes over and tells me it probably is for my MRI. I again informed her that I already had my MRI and that I spoke directly with the office in person and they gave me an appointment for today. They did not apologize. They asked me when I could come in again. I made an appointment for Monday and asked for a print out indicating that I'd be very frustrated if I came in again and they didn't actually help. Second per receptionist uttered something under her breath and turned and walked away. This office is extremely unprofessional. read more

Dr Vikoren is excellent at administering knee injections; his technique will please any patient who fears the necessary treatment for knee pain due to inflammation / arthritis. No comparison to the intense pain I've experienced a few times when the syringe was injected by another Ortho. He's excellent at it ... ( plus many other aspects of his profession,.... But my point is to have no fear of knee injection - it's worth it for some relief) read more

Just awful practices at this practice. They switched out appointment from one office to another without direct communication. You can't reach anyone directly by phone. They leave vm without confirming message received. The St. Mary's office is one of two orthopaedics groups at this location, and the hospital staff and volunteers don't know to check which one is needed. The read more

Read all the other reviews here. Every aspect is true. Against my better judgment (thinking, "this is a very simple operation... How bad can it be?") I had arthroscopic knee surgery (torn meniscus) March 25th, 2025. It is May 13th, 2025 -- and I am far worse off than before surgery. First -- they never answer the phone. It goes directly to voicemail, a long automated message with nine options. If you leave a message, they do not call you back. Finally after many frustrating attempts -- I discovered that if I pressed "O" -- I got a human being!! Imagine -- it takes *that* ... at a *medical* facility! Appointments apparently are limited to 15 minutes. If you still have questions after 15 minutes, you are out. I was told to contact the "Scheduler" -- Ruth at ext. 120. I had to arrange pet care, care for me, and care for my home for the time I would be sidelined due to the surgery. It took the "Scheduler" ONE WEEK to call me back!! Once again -- your only option is to leave and message and hope against hope someone might call you back. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED that my surgery be at Doylestown Hospital. I had been offered the "surgical suites" and stated clearly I did not want that. The "Scheduler" said I would have to go on a Tuesday in order to be at Doylestown Hospital. So I said, O.K., fine -- Tuesday March 25th. SURPRISE!! Without either asking me, or notifying me -- I was switched to the Warrington "Surgical Suites" NOTE!! This facility is *OWNED* by a group of the surgeons. *Of course* they want you to go there -- more money for them, as opposed to paying the good hospital. "Bucks County Surgical Suites" in Warrington was beyond horrible. The waiting room is like a crummy rental car agency. There is no privacy. Unconscious patients whom I did not know were wheeled past me, and I am sure the same was done for me. It is a cattle call, assembly line situation. My appointment to check in was 1:00 p.m. Perhaps 10 - 15 other patients were also checking in at the exact same time. My best guess is all of us patients get set up -- then the surgeon or surgeons go from one patient to the next as fast as they can. Even simple meniscus knee surgery needs to be done with care. There are blood vessels and nerves involved. My knee is worse off than it has ever been. I suspect, as with every other aspect, my surgery was done in a hurry, without particular care. I expect in the surgeon's mind with each surgery he completed, one after the other, his mind goes "Cha-ching", and he racks up another round of money he will be collecting. I would love to see another orthopedic surgeon not associated with this practice, but unfortunately, apparently due in part to insurance regulations, I must stay under the "care" of this orthopedic practice for 90 days from surgery. On day 91 I will be some place else. AVOID THESE PEOPLE!! read more

I saw two different doctors for the same hand pain and got 2 different diagnoses. Both of them turned out to be incorrect To add insult to injury, I am being harassed for a balance due that was paid on time. I went to this practice, knowing that I had a torn meniscus in my left knee. I have experienced this before and had surgery for this, three times prior. I saw a PA who ordered an X-ray, then wrote me a script for an MRI of my knee. This requires a pre-authorization from my insurance company. I have had numerous MRIs and I always have an authorization by phone within 1-2 days. It's been over a week and after checking with my insurance company 3 times, the office still has not submitted the paperwork to my insurance company. I spoke with the office three times and each time they said they'd check on it or it was waiting for proper codes. This isn't rocket science but somehow they keep failing to do their jobs. This has been my practice of choice for many many years but maybe it's time to look elsewhere. read more

Doctors are knowledgeable and quite pleasant. Most of the front desk staff at both locations are very nice but you've got a few ladies here who should NOT be dealing with your patients. They are nasty and rude both in person and on the phone but it doesn't seem like anyone in charge really cares about that. read more

Saw Dr Butler numerous times. He is rude and doesn't listen to the patient, actually said I'm not going to argue with you. His notes and my MRI said radiculopathy. He looks at me and says neuropathy. Got a spinal block for a synovial cyst, which was not needed. What was needed was a spinal for radiculopathy of L4- L5 area. After his rudeness and Napolean complex I found a kind Dr that is now treating my problem. This used to be a lovely practice. They're obviously more concerned about paying for their new building, then their patients! Would never recommend Dr Butler, steer clear, save yourself. read more

We shaw Dr. peacock today at the recommendation of another doctor. The wait in the waiting room was over an hour - but I can see why that happens. He was pleasant, patient and extremely knowledgeable. We previously saw Dr. Raikin at Rothman for ankle problems but he retired SUDDENLY. If you are reading this and previously saw Dr. Raikin - look no further - this should be your new doctor. Beyond competent. We felt that he understood our concerns and was on the same page for continued conservative treatment. He had the answers to questions we never knew to ask. Sean Butler DO agreed to see my friend on a quick basis who was suffering terrible neck pain. for 4 years. She had been to chiropractors, accupuncturists, and other pain management specialist practices who did epidural and nerve blocking Kenalog injections. Nothing had worked. He immediately saw (based on the history) that she was suffering from Stenosis and immediately referred her for a surgical evaluation with a Rothman specialist who did another MRI and recommended immediate surgery. Surgery happened within 2 weeks and involved a 2 level fixation . She is totally out of pain now . Sean, thank you so much for your help and caring !!!!!!!! read more

This practice is a joke! Went in for a shoulder issue and apparently was set up with Dr. Sthalekar that doesn't work with shoulders. Ummm...why would you schedule an appointment for me with someone who doesn't specialize in shoulders???? Why do I have to waste more money to come in and get another MRI request because your office set me up with the wrong doctor???!!! So ridiculous! I had a total knee replacement on 5/19/22 by Dr. Joshua Steere. The surgery went well, and I am back to playing tennis. I couldn't be happier with my surgery and doctor. Dr. Taha Faruqi is honestly the best spine surgeon. I've had 2 surgeries and many shots with other doctors. I was in unbelievable pain. Dr. Faruqi performed my 3rd surgery and the pain is finally relieved. He truly cares about his patients, explains everything he sees in MRIs, and details how he would work to fix the problems. He's very personable and put me at ease with each follow up. He took the time to answer any questions and concerns I had. The office / practice is big but easily takes care of you with pre-authorizations, appointments, etc. read more

They have gotten too big. Very difficult to get an appointment. Took two weeks to get an appointment with Dr. Peacock for an acute foot problem. I was not a new patient. Once arriving, I waited an hour before I was seen. He was nice as usual and developed a plan with prescriptions and recommendations for physical therapy. The prescriptions were never called in. My appointment was on a Friday and by Monday I called the office and had to leave a message. Nobody ever returned my call. Still no prescriptions. Today is Wednesday and I had to call back again and couldn't get a live person unless I opted for the appointment schedulers. I spoke to one who took down my info and have heard nothing back yet. This feels like a waste of my time. Very frustrating. Thinking about going to a smaller, local foot doctor. read more

I had a hip replacement 16 days ago and am delighted thus far. It's the people that have made it a great experience. I wish I could name the great staff at the front desks of the practice, but I missed those names. Burrows MD did the surgery, I've been seen by PA's Sarah G. and Eric, and the med tech Tory was super gentle with staple-removals. The medical team in the back of the surgery center the day of the procedure honestly made me feel like a queen, as if i were the only patient they were going to see that day. It was exactly what I needed to stay relaxed and made a huge impact. The call backs are swift, the office is run very well, and I am consistently met with kindness. Assuming my body continues to cooperate, I'll be getting the second hip done by this office (w/ Burrows) within the next 6 months. I see other folks noting that the wait times to schedule an appt. or a surgery are long, and yes, this is the case, but I found it within my window of tolerance. I had gone to various practitioners at MCBH Ortho when I lived in Doylestown. I think that Dr. Mackell was excellent, very honest, forthcoming and helpful advice about my ankle condition which I greatly appreciated. That meant a lot to me, how his honesty helped me with a surgical procedure down the road, I truly respect that. I had seen other practitioners here, some who I felt more comfortable with than others. They were the first to introduce me to SynVisc injections which really helped my knees. My only reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5 is that I felt more comfortable with some staff than others and I think that could have been improved upon, I did feel pressured into having a procedure which I later decided not to have. Again, I do truly appreciate Dr. Mackell's sincere honesty and candid advice which made a world of difference in my ankle procedure. I have a lot of respect for him, his honesty and his great bedside manners. read more

I was in pain and went to the office, received a script for PT. Before I got to PT, the pain increased. Went back, was given an RX for MRI and Steroids. Called for results for MRI and had to leave a message. No Call back. Mind you my pain was 8-9. Called next day for results. I was told I had to wait 1 week for an appt to discuss the results (the DR said I could call). I explained that waiting a week was unreasonable. Ok you can see the PA for the results. Called today to see if I could Tele DOC...of course, had to leave a message again. No response 6 hours later. I am going to Rothman Urgent Care because the pain for 2 weeks now is not normal or reasonable for me to endure. Ridiculous. read more

I was just seen by Jeff Kumry,PA as well as Dr. Cody and also Dr. Stellakar for various follow up treatment. I have been seeing this group of doctors for years with NO bad experiences. I just want to shout out to the Doctors and PA's who has helped me to continue to function. Dr. Cody, Dr. Burrows, Dr. Park, Dr. Butler, Dr. Stellakar and PA Jonathon and Jeffrey. The staff at the front desk are always helpful and friendly and all the nurses are always so pleasant. When I am seen there, it's like my extended family. I was a wreck and needed operations and pain management, all of which I rec'd continually to help me function in everyday activities. Booked my appointment with Dr. Butler. First saw Sandra Brice, PA. I was not too impressed with her personality and conversation skills. She was blunt, direct, and cold. When she finished, a nurse came in with 2 scripts for MRI's, cervical and lumbar spine. Nothing for thoracic. I asked, and was told that between the two images, they could see the thoracic spine. As I was being ushered out, I asked, "do I get to see Dr. Butler, you know the one I made my appointment with?" It seemed to me that meeting with Dr. Butler was all but forgotten. Upon meeting him, I almost wished I didn't. As I was telling him my symptoms and areas of pain, he was telling me where I should be feeling pain...because it's in the textbooks and he only works with science. Doctor....I'm a fan of science and validity too...but when dealing with patients, I suggest you listen first. Don't they teach you to listen in med school? Regardless, I went to get my "MRI" today and was told they will not image the thoracic area of the spine. So, guess what? I need a third script! (Didn't I ask about that?). And whose time, money and resources have been wasted yet again? Not the doctors - for sure. I've been on the phone, driving to offices wasting my work day, time, gas, and money...and I still don't have a diagnosis, an image, pain relief, or a good feeling about my medical care. I love Susan Griffith at this practice (my kids see her), but after meeting once (years ago/different issue) with Dr. Boylan and now this yahoo....I just don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about this practice. Had an appointment this week with Dr. Sean Butler, D.O. who I've seen for at least three years for a recurring issue. Both his Nurse / Technician Elaine have always treated me with professionalism, with personable demeanor, and respect. Unfortunately once the scheduling person (Anne Marie) came into the examination room after the others had left the respect and professionalism quickly broke down. Little to no eye contact was the beginning of it with a talking down to me when explaining that I'd be sent to the BCOS affiliate Bucks County Surgical Center for the procedure. A packet was given to me for Bucks County Surgical Center and when I returned home I found a document pointing me to a website for microgendx for a Wuhan-Covid 19 home screening test which I was instructed that I would pay for upfront, plus shipping costs. This struck me odd so I called my insurance carrier, Independence Blue Cross (IBX) ,and when I reviewed the microgendx for a Wuhan-Covid 19 home test instructions with prepayment I was told that IBX hadn't heard of the company, that I was capitated to LabCorp and Doylestown Hospital. IBX conferred internally with their lab test team and told me to call Bucks Ortho back as they couldn't assure me that I'd be compensated by IBX if I used microgendx. Monday, the same evening that I saw Dr. Butler I was sent a e-mail to rate my experience at Bucks County Ortho Specialists by the same. I told the story as above that Anne Marie treated me poorly without eye contact and was hardly customer / patient friendly. On Tuesday I received an unsolicited call from Anne Marie probably due to the rating experience submission that I had made the evening before. To Anne Marie I explained my checking with IBX and that they told me to call Bucks County Ortho Specialists back and to ask why they aren't using a patient covered Wuhan-Covid 19 home test company? The conversation didn't go well as I was put on hold three different times and I finally told Anne Marie that she was unprepared to talk specifics with me on using LabCorp or Doylestown Hospital for the test. Finally after fifteen minutes I asked to speak to her supervisor. Marge, Anne Marie's manager then came on the line with me. Apparently Marge was the person that Anne Marie was talking to when I was put on hold. When I asked Marge if she was aware of my discussions with IBX and them not being able to assure me that I'd be compensated if I was tested through microgendx, she gave me a 'take-it-or-leave-it,' attitude. At least Anne Marie and Marge were consistent on that score. Let me wrap this up by saying that Marge hung up on my call when I she refused to answer my questions with straight answers which caused me to repeat my questions to her. This medical practice needs a strong dose of "Charm School" training as the business, scheduling people just don't get the concept of customer / patient service. read more

Bucks County Ortho probably saved my life last year. I went to them with what I thought was a degenerated disc in my lower back. The MRI showed a mass in my spine which turned out to be metas- tasized kidney cancer for which I had had a total nephrectomy on my left side back in 1989. Obviously a slow growing cancer, thank goodness, although now inoperable. Currently in recovery from spinal fusion surgery, I've developed severe pain in right wrist. I got a very quick appointment with Dr. Yung Park at Bucks County Ortho, who diagnosed it as tendonitis and gave me a steroid shot at the site. It is now two days later and my wrist feels 90% normal. He was very attentive, answered my questions fully, and made me feel cared for. I recommend him highly. read more

My physician is Dr Sthalekar he has been very helpful and informative on helping me with my medical condition. He takes the time to explain my options and makes sure that I understand them as well. The entire practice is very inviting and clean. The staff is very helpful. If they need time to get an answer for you instead of leaving you on a long hold they ask to call you back. Please do not go here! They were 1st tier in my insurance, so I went to Dr.Handy. He misdiagnosed my knee injury & sold me $1,000 visco shots that I didn't need. I now know that I had a loose body of cartilage floating around in my knee the whole time & was in need of emergency surgery to remove it. Luckily I went to Aria 3B Health to Art Bartolozzi and he helped me. Because of Dr.Handy's negligence and visco shot cash-grab I was on crutches for 7 months. I was level-headed and trusting, but Handy talked to me like I was an overly-dramatic woman with a minor injury. In addition to this, I was scheduled with the wrong doctor on my follow-up appointment & no one could explain why this happened. I'll include photos of the dirty exam table on one of the mornings of my OrthoVisc injections. Exam tables should always be clean, of course, but I found this particularly surprising because I was the first patient of the day. read more

have been here before and had good service from dr griffin but in april 2022 went to see ritter for tennis elbow - they gave me a useless elbow brace and billed me $120.00 each (the exact model sells for @25.00 online). it took them 4 months to bill me (billing office is now in ohio). i told them i wanted to return them as i was not using them - they called me pretending to be the doctors office (caller id ) and said it had been too long for me to return them - so they are now doing remainder billing to ripoff patients. read more

Waited over one hour to see Dr Butler. I wanted to leave. I ended up having to cancel 2 of my own appointments. However, you have to pre-pay your co-payment so they kind of have you as an hostage. I am in the service business. I wish I could charge people upfront before the service is rendered. But, I am not a doctor and they are the only ones I know who do this. What a racket. When you have a business model built on greed in which doctors overbook and you end up waiting, this is what happens. As patients we appear to have no value except a dollar value. Shame on them. I've been going to see Dr. Handy for over 6 years now. He repaired a torn labrum in both shoulders and was an exceptional doctor. Before surgery he was thorough and gave great explanation and details as to what was going to happen. After surgery, he spent 20-30 mins explaining all that occurred during the surgery, never rushed through anything. During rehab and follow ups, he was careful about not rushing the process. Since the surgery, he continues to carefully weigh all options and discuss next steps. Last time I tried to schedule an appointment with him, he was unavailable since he was serving his TDY in the army. I set an appointment to see Dr. Cody. Once again, thoroughly impressed by another doctor in this practice. Dr. Cody was patient, discussed all the options available, didn't just push for surgery, and helped me to lay out a plan that made me comfortable. I highly recommend this practice for any ortho need. All the doctors seem to have similar philosophy on discussing all options available and not rushing to surgery. read more

The Physician and staff are friendly and professional. I went to Dr. Vikoren for both hip replacements and he is the best! He was very professional and honest, which I truly appreciated. I qualified for the Same Day Surgery program. My report time was 6:30am and I was home by 1:00pm. The physician's at Rothman kept telling me I was too young to have my hips replaced (low 50's) and their solution was to put me on meloxicam, "take as much Tylenol as needed", epidural shots to my hips and come back every 6 months for a check up. Thanks to Dr. Vikoren and his team I am back to my normal activities including hiking, gardening, walking my dogs and wearing shoes with laces that I can tie myself. :) read more

Tried to book an appointment with Dr Handy since he was back from Military TDY but office said no way and Handy did the surgery as well as a great doc. His associates are not good. So unless Handy n Jon leave to go somewhere good this practice only gets a zero. Tell all my FF friends n military friends this is NOT a place you want to be treated at. Wanted to give them a zero star but no can do. Find a Doc that takes their job seriously and cares. read more

FYI anyone getting PRP injections which insurance does not cover. Bucks county charges $1350 each and Rothman only charges $600.

Total disaster for me - surgeon fine but took 3 and 1/2 months to speak with someone regarding my recovery - surgeon put in request for a pt to give some additional exercises to speed recovery and after two weeks still no word - my 4th month since the operation will be on Monday and I don't expect any more help and am totally frustrated with what has happened. High risk for virus and just want a simple meeting to help. The telephone doesn't have the virus... read more
