I originally booked a deluxe river tubing excursion through Groupon, but we ended up having to pay $10 extra per person to upgrade to a raft when our group arrived. This was mainly due to the weather, as the river was a bit flooded after a period of rain so I understand that's not Bucks County River Country's fault. However, it would have been nice to not essentially be forced to pay extra to upgrade to a raft, especially after we had to pay for parking ($8) and checking our keys ($2) as well. The facilities are pretty barebone. There are porta-potties available, as well as a little changing area but not much else. It would have been nice to have a mirror in there, or even a door for privacy. There is a little trailer where you check your car keys that also sells equipment like water shoes and waterproof phone cases. When we arrived, we were directed to get fitted for our life jackets and paddles. There is a schoolbus that takes you up the river so that you can float your way back down. The car ride is not very long, but we ended up spending close to 3 hours on the river. I would suggest budgeting your time wisely when visiting because you never know how fast the river is flowing that day. Don't make dinner reservations ahead of time like we did. One more thing to note is that there is close to zero cell service around the area! read more

We had a fabulous time at River Country. I recommend making reservations and paying ahead for parking and key check. They will hold your car keys so you don't lose them in the river. The river was high and a bit fast moving so, since we had 2 kids with us under 18, so we couldn't do the tubes. Instead we got 2 rafts. Abbey was fantastic at getting that set up for us. Turned out to be much better for the 7 year old who was a bit scared. We had a ball! The entire trip was 2 hours 15 minutes. The river moved us well but wasn't really moving fast. We all went for a swim at different times. It was a great way to cool off!  My family and I are definitely going to make this  yearly tradition. read more

Super fun we go every summer with a group of about 30 of us and they always handle accordingly.

First ones there. Signed our waiver, checked our keys and got our tubes and our life preservers and did not wait long for the bus to take us take us Up River. Bring your own rope if you want to tie tubes together. they only had 1 single piece left when we got there also fortunately we had our own. the Porta potty's were disgusting and a Monday morning after the busy weekend and would hope that they had been cleaned out but worst I've ever used . Wont do that again We took the 3 hr ride because driver said that's where they were going. We had planned on doing the two hour so I should have said something but I did not We cannot easily get over to the New Jersey side so spent most of the time on the Pennsylvania side we went through some rapids and one was really great but for the most part for the 4 1/2 hours that we were unfortunately on the river it was very difficult and we did a lot of paddling We were stuck in one area for a good hour paddle down stream but the wind would blow us right back But we finally made it and we're very happy when we saw the big boulders in the river to indicate that it was time to get out So, mixed review. read more

I visited here with a group for a work outing, so we rented a bunch of canoes and a kayak. They gave us all life vests and paddles, and then loaded us on a bus to bring us upriver to get started on our ride. The ride was fun, and their equipment worked well enough. We had a great time floating down the river, and the staff were helpful when we got back. Definitely a fun activity for a hot day! read more

Spontaneous decision to take a solo kayak trip was super pleasant with this efficient operation. You go on a bus and then paddle/float your way down the river. The best part though was that when I went past the dock, one of the workers waded through rocks to rescue me & my kayak! When he realized I had been given the wrong kind of paddle, he sent me to the supervisor who made it right. To me, the hallmark of a business is when they make a mistake and how they correct it. These guys could not have been nicer or more fair. Summary: Lots of outdoor fun, but significant questions surrounding social distancing I've been to Bucks County River Country several times before and have enjoyed myself each time. The tubing in particular is a serene, relaxing way to float with friends/family and enjoy a couple of hours in nature. The river itself rarely gets very deep (usually 5 feet or less), and does not flow very quickly, so even novice swimmers can feel safe. Normally I'd give this place a much higher score, but with coronavirus still running rampant, social distancing and mask wearing is key to preventing future flare-ups around the country. While masks are mandatory on-site (and luckily, the vast majority of customers seemed to be compliant), social distancing was virtually non-existent on the long, Disneyworld type line to pick up your rafts. Customers are placed on a long snaking line that puts Six Flags to shame. On the bright side, there was a roof on top so we weren't in the sun. On the downside, we were extremely close to people at all times for about an hour. A few members in my party were uncomfortable during this part of the experience, and I hope that no negative health repercussions arise from this. The establishment needs to act quickly to fix this - either by reducing the number of passes they sell per day, or else by modifying the line so that it stretches out to a different area and so that it doesn't snake in on itself (to prevent people from being so close together for such an extended period of time). read more

I recommend you take your business elsewhere. This business is run very poorly by inefficient, non-personable and some unintelligent people. We had the Yelp deal to buy 3 get 1 free. The girl in charge of tickets did not know how to charge us for 3 tickets and give us 1 for free. Instead, she offered each of us $2 off! The tickets are $26/per person. How does $2 off for 4 tickets, which would total $8 be equivalent to saving $26 total! We had to instruct her on what to do.. basically ring up 3 tickets and give us the 4th one free. No-brainer in most situations, but not here. We had to go through this process with her twice, since we were a large group! My group opted for the 4-hour float and, unfortunately, I can't be in the sun that long, so I was on my own for the 2-hour one. I was dropped off by bus at the designated area and apparently I was the only one on my bus getting off here. The guy that helped me get into the water was indifferent and not very friendly. He could have been a little nicer since I was completely by myself. I didn't even know which way to go and when I asked him he looked at me like I should know. Maybe, I should have, but I've never done this before! My boyfriend was meeting up with us on his SUP instead of tubing. One of the guys was very rude and mean to him and charged him $15 to launch his SUP, which is fine if that's what they charge to launch, but be nice about. The guy did feel bad when we returned and gave us back $10 bucks. Some common respect towards your customer would be appreciated, instead of going off on them. I finished up my 2 hour float around noon and by this time the Port-a-Potties were already all filthy. The changing stations were basically a room with a curtain down the center. Come here if you want to tube your way into getting Corona Virus! Seriously do NOT come here - no respect at ALL for social distancing whatsoever and the website is VERY misleading. Lines were so long and everyone was so close to each other (children too!) many of them not wearing a masks!!! Buses were completely packed - total nightmare! Although we received a full refund, "management" did not claim any responsibility and she told us, "well I only manage the office" .....what does that even mean? They were super rude. Came here on a kayaking trip on the Delaware River and had a great time! The river was not the cleanest but the current was nice and strong especially since it had rained the day before. On the way down, saw all the people tubing and it looked like so much fun! I would definitely return to try the tubing. Passed the hot dog man and food stand on the way down and it looked interesting. The life jackets were on the smelly side and could have used some airing out and drying before using them again. read more

Fun experience tubing tainted by the feeling that I'm being taken advantage of. It's already expensive, then add in the unexpected charges ($7 parking, $4.92 in unexplained "fees," $3 to check your car key while you're on the river). Plus, apparently they're no longer offering anything but a "2-hour" tubing trip now (in quotes because it was significantly less than 2 hours). The early bird gets the worm, or in this case, an awesome tubing experience. It was my first time tubing, so I did extensive research on Bucks County River County. We bought our tickets online - they do an early bird weekend special ($22 vs. $26) if you check in at the kiosk by 10:30. Upon arrival, there were probably 2 rows of parked cars, but when we got back (~12:00) the parking lot and bus line were packed. We checked in with some teenagers, which took 2 minutes tops. One of them double stamped us aka gave the "deluxe" tubes. Score! I chose a pink tube, but didn't inspect it fully, only to realize mid-float that there's what seems to be dried blood on it. Yuck! Tubing down the river was beautiful and super relaxing - a natural spa if you will. We made a pit stop at one of the little islands, explored, and collected some river rocks. The current was rather fast and not lazy at all, so our 2 hour trip seemed like a mere 1 hour float. But hey, time does float away when you're having fun. *cue Modest Mouse - Float on* A Quick Guide to BCRC - buy tickets online & print/sign the liability form - buy the early bird special on their website, it's cheaper than the Groupon deal - arrive before 10 - parking is $6 - bring some rope if you want to stick together (deluxe tubes have handles you can use to tie the rope with, standard tubes do not) - tbh, deluxe tubes are probably worth it (comes with a headrest and the pink tubes cover your butt) - inspect your tube thoroughly - 99% of the employees are teens - wear a lot of sunscreen - wear water shoes (not flip flops) - you'll be able to stand in most parts of the river, so don't worry, you won't die - but also, if you're on the fence about wearing a life vest, please put one on - bring a lunch/a lot of water (but you'll have to leave it in the car) read more

Review is for kayaking. Trip on the river was beautiful but find a different outfitter to experience it with. First, they nickel and dime you. $7/parking. $2 to check you keys. These are not optional when you check out online so even tho we didn't check our keys we still paid. I wouldn't mind paying these fees but the customer service was awful or maybe just non-existent would be a better description. Signs directed us to "kayaking" but there was no one there to help me. Finally after finding someone, I was directed to a man getting ready to take a van of 2 other couples out for kayaking. He wasn't willing to wait for 5 min but also couldn't tell me when the next van would be there to take us. Once again I had to find another person, who eventually came to get us over 30 min later. We Got dropped off at our location and met by a young guy who had no idea what was happening. The kayaks weren't great. We did sit-on kayaks which were so hard to steer, no where to put my bag. I never did a sit-on before and maybe that's how they all are but would not recommend. However, even the sit-ins weren't great. Again, no where to strap down a bag. No directions on where to go or what to look out for on the river. When we got back, the people taking our kayaks could hardly be bothered. I will never return here or recommend to anyone. read more

This was supposed to be our FUN "End of the Summer" day trip with 13 friends. Well.... PROBLEM #1 Trouble started getting on the canoes. The inexperienced kids who were working at the canoe area never gave us any instructions on how to paddle, how to steer, etc. 1st boat was our 3 teenage boys, 2nd was 3-14 year old girls, 3rd boat was 3 adults. The canoe flipped. Instead of the employees trying to help, they kind of stood there not knowing what to do. They tried again to get in and it flipped over again. So then one of the employees suggested to the 3rd person "do you want to try a kayak?" She was ok with that. Long story short, she ended up having to get rescued. The captain asked her "why are you in a child's kayak with a canoe oar?" She just took what they gave her. She went for almost 5 miles like that. PROBLEM #2 The employees should have encouraged us to rethink the 3 girls on a canoe. About a mile in, the girls were having trouble and an adult from another canoe had to swap out. PROBLEM #3 Why aren't there lifeguard checkpoints along the river? God forbid someone is hurt, flipped over, stuck on rocks. There's no way to communicate for help. PROBLEM #4 It was hot but we were told we couldn't bring any water/Gatorade with us. PROBLEM #5 We ordered 3-person canoes but the middle person was told to sit on the middle plank of wood. They were later told the middle person had to sit on the floor. WHICH IS IT? PROBLEM #6 The port-a-Johns were over the top dirty. I think the last time they were cleaned was 1985. read more

i would rather shove a fork in my eye than do this again! this was awful. the flow of the river barely takes you anywhere. and the wind pushes you back. i started at 1 and ended at 5 when it is only supposed to take 2h. a nice person with a boat gave us a rope and helped us along. but that was not a worker. and the icing on the cake is that since the water was not flowing i had to walk and one of the workers just sat there and watched us struggle. read more

I know this is a two star review, but it's not completely terrible. As you have seen in other reviews from this past weekend, this place was overwhelmed on Saturday, August 1st and they didn't do any favors by the way they were managing it. However, after standing in lines for 90 minutes only to then find out there was a minimum of a two hour wait after that, they did refund our parking fee and said we could re-use our Groupon (although there's not a chance in hell I'd ever come back). So because of that, I'm bumping it up from one star to two stars. The only thing they are really organized at is taking your money for parking...after that, all bets are off and apparently everything is run by teenagers. You had to check in with a young lady if you bought tickets online or via Groupon. I was about 20 feet from the front of the line and the wait there was 30 minutes. I was hoping I was in the right line because nobody who worked there had any reliable information, except one nice young man who helped direct people where to go. A guy with a cane was nice and apologized for the wait and said they only had one computer. After we had our hands stamped to verify we purchased electronic tickets, we went to the line for the tubes, only the teenager there said to go stand in the line with people waiting to pay cash for tickets. At that point, the line for tubes was too long so we had to stand behind everyone who was paying cash. After a half hour wait for "check in" for e-tickets, we then had to wait behind everyone who hadn't bought e-tickets, thus negating any benefit of buying tickets ahead of time. After waiting in that line for an hour, rumors started spreading. Finally, one of the teenagers broke down and confessed they had no tubes. Of course, that was apparent to all of us standing in line because they have colored tubes based on weight and the only ones that were left were green ones. I understand they had a lot of demand, but it was a hot and sunny day and they are a tube/rafting/kayak company. If they cannot keep up with demand, they should at least manage it more effectively. Maybe require reservations for weekend days and let walk-ins show up at their own risk. Tell people ahead of time there aren't tubes so you don't have them waiting 90 minutes just to tell them they have another two hours to wait. Offer vouchers to come back again. Put a "real time" wait time calculator on the website so people coming from far away can check that before they come from a place like Manhattan. Really, it was a nice day so I wasn't that mad, but they could have made the whole experience a lot better if they just managed the situation rather than let the situation manage them. I understand with no management skills and a workforce of teens (many of whom were more engaged with their phones than the customers), a busy day will be a challenge. But put together a contingency plan and then execute it the next time you face this type of scenario. read more

My husband and I have been coming here every year for the last seven years, and it's awesome! They really are quite organized and make it an easy experience. They even have separate lines for their shuttle according to how many hours you want to tube (4, 3 or 2). It's really nice to peacefully drifting down the river, and there are also a couple of small, but fun mini-rapids. The only thing I think that could use improvement are the bathrooms. I know they're porta-potties, but I think they could be a little better maintained - at least hose them down regularly. Just make sure you check the weather before you go - good weather makes it much more enjoyable. But make sure you don't go over to the Hot Dog Man! Bucks County v. Hot Dog Man has been a long-running feud for some reason - I have no idea what it's all about, but it's kind of funny. Anyway, come here for a great summer day on the river! read more

Do yourself a favor and just buy a float and go on your own. I've been tubing several times through other companies and thought I would give this one a shot. What a mistake. Settle in while I tell you a tale: Yesterday was my husband's birthday and I wanted to take him tubing for his first ever tubing experience. We called around 1pm to make sure they were open and a very friendly woman told us they were open and we could come in without reservation up until 3:30 (that's when she said the last trip departed). We arrived at 2:30 and found we had to pay $7 for parking. Okay, fair enough. We pay, we park. After slathering ourself in enough sunblock to choke a small mammal, we wandered up to the ticket area. "We're cash only today due to internet outage." Well that would have been helpful to know when we called (apparently the outage began around 9am). We managed to use WiFi (because good luck getting a cell signal) and order tickets online while standing in front of the girl. We paid at 2:56pm and were sent over to the tube area. We get our tube and are told to stand in the line for the "3 hour trip". Cool, we're on our way! JK. No we're not, because the bus just left and it'll be another 20 minutes or so before we can leave. The employees suggested we kill time so we hopped out of line (we were the only people there) and ran to grab a drink and pay $2 to have them check our car keys. All set- back to the line. Standing in line for about 20-25 minutes and an older guy comes up to us asking if we wanted to the 2 or 3 hour trip. We told him 3 and he started stammering on about "well the last 3 hour trip left at 3". Nope. Your girl on the phone and the sign IN FRONT of my face says 3:30. He tells me that it must be incorrect. Not my problem because we were here plenty early. He goes on to make BOTH the 2 and 3 hour trip out to be some massive personal inconvenience but was like "just do the 3 hour. You'll only have 2.5 hours anyway with how the water is moving". My husband is a cop and NEVER gets a chance to unwind. Now you're making us feel like a burden? Flash forward: we get on the bus. Older man starts talking to bus driver guy about "since when do we go until 3:30?". Bus driver guy shrugs and they talk for another several minutes about an irresponsible employee. Because that's super professional. Finally, bus driver guys pulls off (it's 3:50 and we've been paid and ready to go since just before 3). This dude must've driven for NASCAR in his younger years because he was RIPPING down the backroads. 5 minutes of a drive later and he abruptly pulls off to the side of the road, opens the door and says nothing. Okay cool. Where the hell are we? My husband asks where to go and he mumbles and points to the woods. Awesome. Totally worth the $60 we've paid so far. We wander down to the water and hop in the float. Its now just after 4pm. It's absolutely beautiful. So peaceful and quiet and oh, what's that? Our butts are stabbed by a rock. We hop out and reposition ourselves. Off we go. We loved the float. It was perfect one-on-one time for us (we have 2 children). Before we know it, we're back. It's 5:20. ARE YOU SERIOUS? A 3 hour float that took less than 90 minutes? Something seemed fishy. First the pressure to change our trip, then the bus guy randomly kicking us off on the side of the road. We asked the older guy from earlier why it was so short and he goes "oh you must've floated fast". Okay I could see maybe 3 hours being 2 hours if we floated like a damn duck but 90 minutes? Everything was closed when we got back to shore. We got our keys and left. I called 2 other tubing places today to ask if anyone in the history of their business has completed a 3 hour trip in less than 2 and they all said no. They said 2.5 at most. One other business went as far as to admit it sounded as though BCRC just wanted to get us in and out so they could go home. (Note: I didn't mention business name when calling competitors) So thanks for ruining my husband's birthday float guys. I hope your hot dog roasting or whatever you had going on last night was worth it. What should have been an amazing experience for an Officer and Marine has made him never want to go tubing again. read more

I've done this a few times now and it's pretty much what you would expect. They rate the excursions by hours but honestly I feel like it always takes longer (for instance, if you want the three hour ride you should take the two hour ride, which always ends up being around 3 for me). The tubes are generally in good condition but their life jackets need an overhaul since they are quite old at this point. This year I think I'll try a canoeing trip on this part of the Delaware, because the vast majority of area covered here is a snooze fest minus some fun rapids of course. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect as I had never been tubing before, but on a hot day this was such a great activity and I really enjoyed it! We got there at 8:30 right at opening which was super smart to beat the crowds. We had purchased the early bird online special which is also much cheaper, so again it pays to go early! Once we got our tubes, we had to wait for the bus to take us to where we would start tubing. Tip: BRING A ROPE TO KEEP YOUR PARTY TOGETHER. We were so lucky and a group behind us had an extra rope and offered it to the four of us. It is very helpful for keeping your group together in the water. When we were dropped off there was no instruction and I would've appreciated a little guidance as it was our first time and we were dropped off at the top of a cliff...we felt really nervous. However, once we got into the water we LOVED IT. So serene and peaceful and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. The 3 hour tube took only 2 hours I think the current might've been faster than anticipated. But honestly I think it was the perfect amount of time. Would definitely return :) read more

I would like to start off by saying that the tubes are really nice and comfortable (we had ones with back rests). The staff were not too helpful when it came to directing us on where to go next. The experience itself is really great and we had an awesome time on the river. I am taking one star away because they charged $7 for parking and I did not see that anywhere on the website or when I booked. Beware there is still a parking charge! I am taking another star away because of the whole "adventure meal". For $12 you could get a burger or 2 hot dogs, a drink and chips for a "riverside lunch". Lunch was barely riverside even though the website leads you to believe its while you're tubing it's not. Also a Burger, chips and drink only cost 11$ at the little grill area they have. I got played but not like I really care about $2. So all in all I wouldn't go back here and I'd use frenchtown tubing again instead! read more

Went twice in a two week time period (snafu with a Groupon initially led to two purchases...all good). Went on a weekday. Once at a 1pm slot and the other at a 10 am slot. Let me say this...these folks have this down to a science. Granted, we went on a weekday and it wasn't insanely crowded. Both days were phenomenal weather and no rain in the prior few days. Online booking is easy, pay all in advance, including parking. The girl working the parking line very nice and friendly. Bring $3.00 cash to lock your car key. Peace of mind. Literally the only thing I brought was the 3 bucks. You then walk a short distance to a queue to pick up the tube. Kids working were all friendly and in good spirits. Another queue to line up on the bus. Bus is sanitized before each ride. They have you sitting in a bus a safe distance from each person. The shaggy haired kid giving the pre-departure bus speech is funny and informative. Do yourself a favor and follow the kid's advice and drift to the NJ side...way better than PA. Final piece of advice: wear an old pair of sneakers or water shoes. Take it from this guy who was too stubborn to do so...the rocks hurt and are super slippery. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews...the kids had a blast and these people have it down. read more

Went kayaking today (August 2) with a group of 5 people and it was a great experience. We went at 9am which I recommend because it seemed to be a lot busier when we were done (around 11:30am). I saw a few recent reviews about the lack of social distancing and was nervous but it was not busy at all when we went so it wasn't an issue. Employees and the several other people we saw kayaking and tubing were all wearing masks. The staff was friendly and didn't even check our bags for outside food/drinks like their website says. It was nice to not have to worry about having our own water. They bus you up the river and then you kayak down 6 miles; it took us a little over 2 hours and we were rowing most of the time, not anything rigorous. It was very peaceful and we ran into a few tubers/other kayakers along the way. There are also islands you can stop on if you want to take a break and stretch out. We didn't buy any food or sunblock, etc so can't speak about the quality or pricing of that stuff. We did check our car keys in for $3 just in case though. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill time with friendly staff. However, I would go early in case it is crowded later. read more

This would have been an awesome experience except for the false advertising. We purchased the $12 per person "island adventure lunch"---please, no one else waste your money--- there is NO island adventure-- no horseshoes, no games, no ice cream, no place to eat--- nothing, and we went on a busy sunday in July. These people have some nerve charging $7 for parking in the dirt, the $12 for a lousy burger that you eat at the end of your trip next to the parking lot. We had seven very hungry people by the time we ended our 2.5 hour float,, we were looking for the place to eat the whole way, but NOTHING! LIARS! FALSE ADVERTISING! One of the most relaxing and enjoyable family day trip I have taken everything was pre purchased online because of COVID once we arrived we parked our car and made our way to the bus where we were taken to the river entrance once there you are pretty much on your own you can decide how fast or slow you want to go down river the water is refreshing and very cooling on a hot day no special equipment needed other then I would recommend water shoes as the rocks can be slippery as you make your way down river there are islands you can stop at and relax or take pictures once you finish your trip you end up back where you parked your car there they have a food shop which serves hotdogs hamburgers and so forth not bad at all specially if you purchased it threw a Groupon food a included we definitely look forward to doing this again next year they offer tubes with sealed bottoms for the little ones and life vests read more

What a good time!! Only about an hour out of Philly, but when your out on the river you feel a million miles away. $31 gets you an inner tube and a little lunch when you arrive back from your trip. You park your car ($6) at the end of the course and a bus takes you to your drop off point, where you will begin floating from. You can float for either 2, 3 or 4 hours and the bus will drop you off at the appropriate location. You are not allowed to bring your own raft, drinks (alcoholic beverages or anything else), or any food. I saw a few people bringing their own water bottles but that's it. The river is pretty calm. You will float leisurely and enjoy the placid waters. There is a hot dog stand half way through, but unfortunately the food you purchase with your ticket doesn't come from this stand :( major bummer. They do accept cash... but of course no one has their wallets on them! So you float on for another 2 hours, hungry and dehydrated until the end. When you get back you can now eat. Your choices are 2 hot dogs or 1 hamburger. It comes with a side of chips and a drink. The burger was pretty good and I definitely needed it after that long trip. It's a great time, just know what to expect and plan accordingly. read more

River Country offers to all a chance to navigate the Delaware River by tube, boat, or raft. I truly love this place, and I was going to give it five stars. Not only was it my very first experience river tubing years ago, but after checking out a few other runs (and repeating this one a few times) I now have a basis of comparison. This is the only run I've been to where they do not require you to wear a life vest, but they have them available if you want one. I prefer to live dangerously on the grounds that life vests in general are bulky, sometimes moldy, and leave tan lines, so for me this is a plus. While most runs have only one duration available, River Country allows YOU to pick what's right for you-- either a 2, 3, or 4 hour run. We always pick 4, and would probably pick 5 if they had it, but I recognize that for most tubing groups choice is key. Halfway down the river, there is a food stop in the water! They sell hot dogs, burgers, candy, chips, advil, sunblock, and cold drinks at exorbitant prices, but hey-- what do you want? You're on a freaking river, and 5$ for a dog and $3 for a water are totally justifiable if you're jonesing enough. This shack technically belongs to some other river tubing establishment, but they welcome visitors, so don't be shy. As their sign boasts, "We love wet money!" The establishment is family-owned by some hippie-ish looking folks and they have a mushroom theme. Yes, and not some crimini portabello shroom, I mean an Alice in Wonderland, blacklight poster from college, cartoony looking MUSHROOM. Awesome. They do offer other water sports rentals, like rafting, canoeing, kayaking, etc. Why you'd want to do that over tubing is a mystery to me, but it's there if you want it. Minus a star for being lame about a coupon situation. Also be prepared for their $5 parking fee. The water tends to be very warm, between 70-85 degrees in the summer, which is amazing. There is about a 3 foot waterfall drop, which is just fantastic, and the only one of it's kind on the Northeastern tubing runs. A flat fee of $25 covers the cost of the run, tube, and shuttle. The line on a weekend can take around 20-30 minutes, so if you do use coupons, factor that into your time, and don't expect any favors. As usual when tubing, stock up on the highest SPF you can find and wear some water shoes! read more

This past Saturday, 30 of us got together to tube down the Delaware -- no small feat considering I've never seen any of these people outside of their urban confines, and never before 2pm on a Saturday. We lucked out, given we had a beautiful day that was wedged in between severely stormy days. That meant the river was four feet higher than normal, and twice as fast. Even at that speed, the river was a sweet and lazy ride. You could only really tell how fast it was going when you looked at the shoreline. 20 or more people gets a discount ($18 instead of $20 for the day). I made a reservation but didn't really appear to need one. Still, if you're going with that many people, best to make one anyway. If we had more than 30 on the trip, we probably would have had to take more than one bus from the River Country HQ to the launch area. We planned a three-hour trip, but because of the river speed, they dropped us at the 4-hour launch. Even still, the whole thing only lasted an hour and a half. The signage is really the only thing that could use some serious improvement -- the parking lot exit at the HQ was confusing and not well marked, and it was dangerously close to where all the tubers who finished their rides were exiting the river and not really paying attention to where they were going. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is that it's expensive and they don't have a package available that includes food. On the Jersey side, apparently there's another tubing company that will allow you a free bbq meal half way down the river. Parking is $6, they'll hold your car key for $2 and a locker for your personal items is $5. The bathrooms are port-o-potties and the changing room is a large-ish space [one for ladies, one for guys] with a sheet down the middle. Oh, and if you're a terrible backseat driver like myself, you'll be terrified of the 10 minute bus ride that feels like forever. Ok...so first off tbey charge you for everything here. At least $26 for tubing (think if early bird special)....to start with thats over priced but tolerable. Whats not tolerable is the $6 they then charge you for parking. Then if you want to leave keys with them its an extra $2. Then drinks and food are way over priced. So thats the rant about costs. Oh and the usual tubing i do is $15 all in and about 30 mins from this place so never again (tried to give this a chance for a friends bday). The wait to actually go anywhere was like almost 3p mins queuing like we were at a waterpark. Now the really annoying bit was that they said on the paper they give you was that you cannot take coolers, food or water (empty containers they fill for you..unsure for a fee). Note we did take a large container of water and didnt get checked so maybe other things we could have got away with..who knows. But this just felt like a complete lack of freedom to float down the river with friends with some sandwiches...i understand the no beer rule...i mean it is PA/NJ after all haha. I would not recommend this to anyone at all. Run by kids (not a bad thing if done right)...but run badly...expensive...strict for no reason. Oh and the hotdog man that is floating about 2 hrs from the end....his poor quality hotdogs are $5 each!!! A 12 oz pepsi costs $3!!! They are making a killing mainly because they scare people into not bringing food and then charge $$$ for shitty food. They dont own the river...they do own the tubes. This is truley awful and taking advantage of good people wantibg to have a good time. Dont do it and google elsewhere!! read more

What a great way to spend the day. This was our first time here and had no idea how any of it worked. The owner, River Dan, was incredibly helpful. He took the time to explain everything, a couple of times. My friend was using crutches and he assured her she could take them right up to the point of boarding the buses and they would hold them in the office. While it is a small thing, nowadays finding people that take the time and want to help is sometimes rare so this was much appreciated. Most of the staff appear to be teenagers and they were all great. We opted for the 2 hour option since we had two kids with us but once we got going I wish we would have done more. Floating down the river was so relaxing. The water was cool and refreshing and the scenery was beautiful. This is a great way to get out into nature and we will definitely be going back! read more

Man... What a nice change this was. I took my kids here on one of my rare days off from work yesterday.. After a nice drive through Washington's Crossing and Lambertville, the scenery got nicer and the roads got a lot smaller on the Pa side... Once we arrived, we paid for parking and registered before boarding the bus up river.. There are coupons on their website for a couple different discounts.. They have tubes, rafts, kayaks, and canoes.. We chose to go tubing. The dropoff options will let you off 2, 3, and 4 hours up stream... We chose the 4 hour dropoff. The kids enjoysed themselves so much that they said that they'd rather get season passes to go tubing than to go to the beach and boardwalk.. Most of the current was at a steady slow pace, but there were some fast moving choppy parts, depending on which side of the river you chose to drift over to.. Your admission price will allow you to stay all day, including boarding the bus to be dropped off again.. An overall great way to spend a nice weather day... I'll be heading up for a day or two out by myself once the kids get back in school. read more

Don't go this year. No social distancing. No wiping tubes or buses or anything down. The poor kids left trying to manage an overwhelming number of people. You have a reservation but why when they overbook and you are left standing in a hot crowd waiting. They do not refund either. So you would loose all you money. Sad I normally love this place, but don't go now save yourself, unless you seriously want Covid. They need to either rethink their setup or close up!!! read more
