We got here by 10:00 AM and there were many people waiting on line to get to the bus. It was a 30 minute wait on line with no practice of social distancing. For 7 people it came out to a total of $400 which I think is was overpriced. It's about a three hour long attraction. Besides all the people and lines, the river is beautiful. Perfect for first timers.

Beware! We came to this place and ended up spending two hours waiting in line!!! They did not have enough buses to take customers to the river and everyone was hot, hungry, and frustrated. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Not with the long lines and frustration. What a terrible way to spend Labor Day weekend!

Horrible horrible tubing experience. Should've known this would be a disaster when the owner's weird son got on the bus and said "Hi you may have seen us on the news, but thanks for coming out anyway" and then wasn't even going to offer an explanation until someone asked. He then proceeded to talk at us for the entire 20 minute bus ride about a weird legal battle they were having with the DEP which was crappy for them but honestly way more information than your customers need or want. Then there was a massive thunder and lightning storm and NO ONE came to check on us or help us out of the river which we were stuck in. I don't mean a little sprinkle either. This was a torrential downpour with huge thunder cracks and too-near-for-comfort lightning strikes. In fact, we asked someone from the company ahead of time about the possibility of a storm when we saw the forecast and he said it was fine, it was pushed back till the afternoon - and even if there was a storm, there would be boats to check on us. Well, surprise surprise, huge storm, no boats. We were trying to swim to shore and were getting pushed back out by the current. I was swimming so hard I could've drowned if not for my life vest. Then when we FINALLY made it back to the ending point, a teenage employee told us to "hold onto his boat" despite being 3 feet from shore and almost took my arm off because who the heck can hold onto a boat in a tube! If you don't want to die don't go here. Edit: Posting a douchey response just cements how much of a joke this company is. They don't need my help to turn customers away, they are doing it all on their own.

Same deal. Teens who work here have more sense than the management.

See captions on photos. Got it confused w twin rivers and bought tickets to this place. Go there at your own risk--They're doing nothing to reduce numbers or enforce social distancing. Didn't get as far as the buses (we got a refund) but with what I saw earlier today wouldn't expect them to be running buses below capacity.

Our family has enjoyed tubing on the delaware every summer for years. It's a great way to spend an afternoon in nature

    Can you bring beer cans?

Just bring a floating cooler and crack it open once your off into the water just bring yourself a bag to toss your empty bottles in to clean up after yourself

Intro to Rock Climbing with Valley to Summit on September 18, 2022…read more This was my second trip to Chickies Rock with VTS and it was wonderful! There were only 5 of us, so plenty of time to climb. Our Guide, Bob, was so patient, engaged and informative. I learned a lot of great things that I had not known before about clothing, ropes and technique. Bob was so patient with me and was there with his " green pointer" to help me over the tough spots. You should know that I am 74 years old and tho I have climbed indoors for a few years, my stamina was not that of the youngsters who were there! Nonetheless, it was a great time! I highly recommend Valley to Summit, this being my 3 rd trip with them. They Rock!

Absolutely amazing professional guides!!…read more I hired this company to guide me through the winters treacherous water fall trails of Ricketts Glen that is normally closed off for hikers that don't have the explicitly specific required safety gear for winter hikes which this company provides. The guides were patient and helpful with the small group in getting gear on and going over all the safety equipment. They were never impatient with anyone and insanely kind. You could tell the guides truly enjoyed bringing everyone out to this amazing trail at Ricketts Glen State Park. I wasn't sure what to expect but OMG it was worth the money spent to have these guys/gals guide me through the trails. I took tons of pictures and was never rushed at all while taking in the views and photos. This company comes highly recommended amongst the hiking community even out of state.

If you are looking for a good workout then 17 miles is definitely the option to go for. My group and I kayaked a year or two ago and it took approx. 5 hrs nonstop to get it done. Thus, you may need to show up early to the place around 9 am to account for resting and other delays. Also, the company closes at 6pm and if you return the equipment past 6pm then you will be charged of some penalty... Anyways, my group and I also kayaked 10 miles and it took approx. 3 hrs to be finished. The water in this river is very calm with some currents that may be able to help you out to gain speed from time to time. There is nothing dangerous at this river so you can easily enjoy and have an amazing time with your group. There is a cliff that you can climb almost at the end of the ride where you get to jump down into the water. The height can be approx. 10-15 feet high. The feeling that you get from jumping down can be amazing!

Unless you are medically unfit, you can do this. Exceptional customer service sums up the team at Jim Thorpe River Adventures (aka LOC). They are extremely well organized which makes for a great trip. Everyone from the moment you enter LOC until the very end was polite, professional and wanted to make sure you have a great time. Some tips to follow: you only need to arrive 15 minutes before your group time, this allows ample time to get situated. Buy their pre-made lunch, it is well worth the 10 bucks, bring extra water on the raft (especially in the summer). Use the bathroom before you get on the bus (and be quick). They give you a dry bucket for your lunch and items, yes you can bring your phone in a dry pouch. Wear a hat and a sun shirt, it is hot and sunny, without much shade. Jump in the water when you have the chance !! If you are a "full figured" person it will be difficult to re-enter the raft, be aware. The trip down river is very safe and well organized. The guides are VERY safety aware ! If you are nervous and listen to them, the team will get you down the river without a hitch ! A few suggestions: don't go on a busy holiday weekend, it can get crowded on the river, the safety briefing takes a long time and you a sitting in the sun (remove your vest and drink water), during July and August I would imagine the water is very low and slow (if it is a dry summer)...best only if you want to have a relaxing rafting trip. Overall, a bunch of fun. The entire family had a great time.
