I called to place an order. The owner answered. Instead of saying hello, he answered "DELIVERY?" When I answered yes, he said "SH!T." He then rudely asked where I lived. I stupidly continued to place my order, but could barely get the words out, as he was pushing to get off the phone. I asked how long the delivery would be. He told me 40 minutes, which turned out to be over an hour. Customer Service plays a big part in any food service business. I was driving through town at 3 pm and hadn't had lunch. Being late in the afternoon, I ordered a small cheese steak to go. There is simply a narrow area to order and wait. While waiting, I turned to look at the wall a few feet away and it is COVERED with political statements, most of them negative toward one of the major parties and one particular person. Regardless of my own leanings, that felt as though the owner was being purposely, intentionally disrespectful to what might be 50% of customers. You can get a good lunch here for $4, one of the best values in town if not THE best value. Their pizza sauce is very good but not quite remarkable. Portions are good, and the menu is a crowd pleaser for large take-out orders. Nothing fancy, but they do pizzas and salads and subs quite well and I've never had them mess up a take-out order in over a dozen group orders from my workplace. I've never dined in at the location or even been the one to pick up the food, so I can't speak for the atmosphere of service, but I've never been disappointed with the food and the ingredients seem to be good quality. I stopped here for the first time, and while the food was good, the lady who helped me was the rudest person I've encountered since moving to the area. From the moment I walked in, she was visibly annoyed that she had to put her phone down and help a customer. Sheaintained her a annoyance and rudeness through the whole order process. It's a shame, because the owner seemed genuinely nice, and the food was good, but she made my experience so unpleasant I will never come back, and I will make sure to let everyone know about my experience as well. Ok, so they don't have a place to sit other than the one table out front but it is still the best pizza in Tryon and they deliver ! I am amazed that a pizza place down the street is packed but their pizza is not as good as Bucks. Also make sure to get the Greek salad. read more

Buck's is our go-to place for pizza and salads. Their delivery service always arrives with a hot pizza and cold salads. I order mine half-cooked and finish it in a 475* oven because I like to add some things like calamari and escargot that are simply not available. One reviewer mentioned the limited menu; I had rather have a limited menu of excellent dishes than a broader one that is mediocre. Still... great pizza! read more

Now this is a proper pizza place! Ordered at the counter and ate out on the sidewalk table as there isn't seating otherwise - usually a carry out or delivery place. Truly spectacular pizza, crispy crust outside, fluffy dough inside and really delicious toppings. Will be back asap! read more

Honestly, I've just given up on this place. Living in a small town, I have about a 1/2 dozen places to choose from when I dine out; I'll take what I can get. Almost EVERY TIME I call to place an order they don't answer, so I take my business elsewhere, usually to SIDESTREET PIZZA (they're great!). Tonight I had the (mis)fortune of an answered call. I ordered 2 items, they got 1/2 the order right. Moral of the story- It isn't worth the "convenience" of delivery if they won't answer your calls or deliver the food actually ordered... read more

If you're going to Buck's Pizza and not ordering pizza please do yourself a favor and get the Italian sub. Pizza was greasy and had no flavor at all. I ordered a vegetarian Stromboli and they still put every meat on it. Service seemed up tight and wouldn't listen while ordering, the whole atmosphere was terrible. read more

I use to live in Tryon,NC and we would get bucks pizza twice a week we LOVED this place the owner was always there and always friendly. We would always get the margherita pizza with the parmesan breadsticks. I was so sad to leave Tryon,NC but if I am ever back in the area I will definately make time for Bucks!! read more
