I've also found his staff is equally as pleasant and efficient as the Doctor. They greet you warmly when you enter their office and make you feel at ease in their presence. They are accommodating and willing to work with you on whatever you need. Finally, they have up-to-date equipment and are technically savvy. I scheduled an appointment months out for me and my son, and they called shortly before his appointment to let us know that he would not be covered, despite the fact that the health care provider's website said that they were in network and the receptionist stated that they took that provider's PPO insurance when I made the appointment. I asked Main Street Dental to please check to see whether MY health insurance (a different provider) was in network and whether everything would be covered for MY appointment for later that month. They stated that they normally only call right before the appointment. I explained that we didn't want to wait until right before the appointment to find out whether there were hidden fees/out of network issues/etc. They stated they would call and check, and then they actually DID call me back to say yes, my insurance was in network, and everything should be covered. Fast-forward to my appointment! UH-OH! Turns out this place requires panoramic X-rays, which my insurance doesn't cover, so they're just calling right before my appointment to let me know that will be an extra surprise fee! Why couldn't they have checked that when they called about my insurance the first time? HMMM.... Even MORE incredibly, the receptionist stated that they were required BY LAW to take panoramic X-rays. I actually am a lawyer, but I don't think you need to have gone to law school to know that there's NO law requiring people to take panoramic X-rays before receiving dental treatment. Call almost any other dental office in the area and ask. Steer clear of Main Street Dental. There are other new dental offices in the area who would love your business and won't hit you with surprises 24-48 hours before your appointment, after you've already waited 4 months to see a dentist. They also probably won't lie and tell you a medical procedure is required "by law" when it is not.

Appointments are really easy to get and they're flexible if you need to cancel. I like that they put Netflix on for you while you wait or are being worked on. It eases some anxiety over someone working in your mouth. I think they work with relatively new hygienists and assistants and I enjoyed the pleasant conversation between my assistant and the doctor yesterday while my teeth were being cleaned. It showed a real camaraderie between them and the excitement of the assistant with all she's learning. The doctor was a little behind but again, having something to watch kept me entertained. They're a great service and I'm glad it's not too far from home.

Our teeth look and feel great. Scheduling was very easy, even when we wanted "back to back" appointments together. Our differing prices were both a reflection of that they don't have a "one size fits all" approach to their patients, but also reflected an appropriate/fair scale in pricing relative to our needs. There was no "hard sell" on committing to, or scheduling, any of the additional work recommended. Just a simple printed quote we could reference in the future. The same for the "discount/club pricing" you would get for signing up with their office, which I declined, but my husband joined. Just the information made available quickly and clearly, and then you were free to move on. Everyone was SO friendly. I'm mad I didn't remember to write this review same day, so I could share specific names, but truly everyone was polite and pleasant to a degree that I can't imagine anyone working here isn't equally nice. The rooms are clean, well lit, and situated with modern equipment. They let you choose what Netflix movie to watch (careful to choose a laughter filled comedy with your mouthful). It was first appointment with this office, so it was extended, but the digital, full mouth scan was useful for ordering a night guard. No gooey mouth-mold for me! The hygienist, dental assistants, and even billing folks were all outgoing and friendly. The dentist was gregarious and thorough, and I feel that they really care. I'm done with this place and the terrible customer service…read more I chipped my front tooth. I called to see if I could get an appointment to fix the tooth. I was told I would have to make TWO appointments--one for an exam and then one for the procedure. I asked if I could schedule both for the same day, so I didn't have to take two days off of work. They said yes, they could schedule me for an extra-long appointment, but it meant I would have to schedule two weeks out. I waited two weeks with a chipped tooth and came in. You can probably guess what happened. They took ONE photo of my tooth and told me I had a "really hard decision to make" on whether or not to fix it and I should probably "sleep on it." When I said "No, I want my tooth fixed" they reluctantly admitted they just didn't have time to do it that day. What's more, they then admitted that they NEVER actually scheduled an "extra-long appointment" and that entire promise was just a lie. Also, the "exam" they did (taking one photo of my tooth) meant that I had met my insurance's exam quota for the year, so I wouldn't be able to come in to get a cleaning for the ENTIRE year of 2025 (it is barely May). I am an attorney. I believe this is textbook "bait and switch," potential DTPA violations, as well as potential insurance fraud, and I hope they have good representation. Because if they continue to operate like this, they're probably going to get sued. Oh and also? I went to another dentist to look at the past work Vue had done on my teeth and they said it was "very poorly done" and needed to be fixed. So...the quality doesn't seem to be there either. Look for other dentists in Kyle. There are a lot cropping up now that can probably figure out how to run an appointment system and won't just churn and burn your insurance.
