Very good food in a very short time. The time in between ordering and eating was incredibly short and the food was delicious. The service was great and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. I enjoyed the music playing and thought they had an immense menu for whatever you were in the mood for. I ordered the Szechuan dumplings which were peanut buttery deliciousness with a hint of spice. I loved my time here at Buddha. I've been to their other location at Ridge Hill which is also enjoyable but this one was better in my opinion. The decor here is great and the staff is always nice. They were amazing to my service pup, offered him many belly rubs and water. I felt very comfortable being there with him and am thankful for their treatment. My food was GREAT as always, the portions are balanced and I never have an issue with how it's cooked. I can't wait to come back! If you haven't tried this place yet you're missing out! read more

Visiting here from Florida and staying at the Hilton garden inn next to this restaurant. Ordered take out. I really thought the food was very good but was turned off by the fact there were 2 long black hairs in my food. If it was one hair I would have given it 4 stars . Two hairs there is no excuse. Came here randomly today and was pleasantly surprised. We did not make a reservation and the restaurant is quite spacious. We came at a random time so not many people here. There are multiple parking lots outside since it's in a plaza. We expected this to be very mediocre asian fusion food but it actually came out better than expected. We got the skewers, pork buns, and clear soup for appetizer and they were all quite good. We got orange chicken and pad thai for the main course and both were not bad, pad thai sauce was a little unconventional given the orange color but tasted fine. Overall the service was very efficient and attentive, the dishes came out fairly quickly. We live close so probably will be coming again. Ahh it's been some time since I've eaten here. I love that they have such a variety on the menu. You can get sushi, a noodle dish or one of many more options. I usually default to my favorite, which is the pad Thai because it's probably my favorite place that makes it. It tastes exactly the way I like it. Some places have a very sweet sauce but this pad Thai has a perfect balance. Now let's talk about the decor. It just has a really nice, festive vibe inside. The experience is really immersive and the staff does a great job. I particularly enjoy sitting toward the back. The Mrs. And I went to Buddha for lunch around 12ish, no other customers except for us at that time. The place is decorated well, lots of Asian art works and sculptures. Very cozy and peaceful. The food we ordered : Dim Sum Samplers, wonton soup, veggie egg roll , shumai, sushi/ sashimi dish, and Singapore mei fun the not so spicy version. The food was good, , didn't have any excitement that mades you go Gaga for. The staff are fast and quick in a polite manner, with a smile. I saw an advertisement for king crabs Cajun style. Got the American Dream roll super delicious and the seafood soup. The soup was good but don't think it will be a pick for me again wasn't the flavor I was looking for, it had cucumbers in it and that threw me off. 2 saporos pair well with my choice! I decided to celebrate my birthday here after hearing how good the food was. Honestly I wasn't impressed. First let me say how the entire time our waitress made us feel rushed - we tried ordering drinks and apps and she kept coming over asking about our entrees. We were trying to have an enjoyable meal but my God were we rushed. The thing is that the restaurant was relatively empty so I don't understand why we were constantly pressed to order. So I started with a specialty roll - the Dobbs Ferry - it was ok. It would have been nice to have a small bowl or something for the soy sauce like I get in other sushi restaurants I asked for it but didn't get it. For entree I ordered the peking duck with shrimp fried rice. My family ordered from the hibachi menu - I was surprised they offer hibachi without the table and performance from the chef like other hibachi restaurants. Now I have to say the duck was delicious - especially the skin. OMG it was so crispy and perfectly cooked. The duck itself was also good (sometimes it could be dry) but it was moist. The rice though was lacking - no onions, vegetables, etc. I also asked for the mustard sauce but what came out was a sweet mustard - don't know what that was about. My family surprised me with a cake with ice cream that came out with a candle which was nice - the chocolate cake was good. I was expecting more in terms of taste - not just a regular meal - I have to admit I felt that overall the meal was lacking. read more

When we asked the ( female host) , she stated that since they order the rice in bulk..that might of came inside..however they check their rice well to make sure that this doesn't happen..they only took off the dessert from the bill...NOT COOL! We are all familiar with the typical Chinese restaurant with its formica tables, minimalist decor, and the obligatory fish tank. Well, this ain't it. Buddha Asian Bistro is a beautifully spacious restaurant that exudes class and comfort. The noise level is low, so you can have an intimate conversation with your companions without any noise distractions or loud music being piped in. As nice as this all is, it's the food that counts, and B.A.B. shines again. Four of us had soup, along with generous portions of sesame chicken, orange beef, chicken with garlic and string beans, and shrimp chow fun. I found the shrimp dish to be a bit bland, but it was still good and the other dishes were outstanding. Another bonus was that the service was efficient and unobtrusive, with water glasses being refilled and checking to see that everything was OK. There aren't that many quality Chinese restaurants left that offer a real dining experience. We will be returning. read more

My family decided on trying something new other than our regular Friday night bar food. It was easy to find of the main road and it's located in a strip mall where there was plenty of parking and a garage. This place is decorated beautifully. The host is friendly and sat us right away. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. She looked out for the little ones in our party and made sure they were ok with their food choices and drinks. We started with our drinks which were excellent, I had the lychee champagne and my husband had the Kirin Ichiban beer. We order for appetizers the spring rolls and the dim sum platter which did not make to the pictures and what did make it to the pic were the shrimp and vegetables tempura. Each appetizer came out with its own dipping sauce which were paired perfectly. All three appetizers were delicious. For dinner we ordered the chicken and steak hibachi and the trio sushi diner and the sushi diner. Each diner were delicious and presentation was great. Our diners came with a choice of salad or miso soup; these came out before our entrees which we enjoyed. Food is very very good, service is cordial & polite. It's a very vacuous venue, not great for two people on a date, in my opinion . I thought there would be hibachi tables, but they only serve hibachi as a dish. Felt somewhat "cold" but can't really say it was bad. At least no screaming brats. Made it to Buddha Asian Bistro for an early dinner after traveling all day. 'Twas hungry and thankfully found this place to hit prior to checking into my hotel (which is only 10 minutes away). The menu is extensive and I saw another recommendation about the dim sum sampler - so I started there. The steamed combination of 8 dumplings was a delicious, satisfying option as my appetizer. The dipping sauce was a slightly sweet and gingery soy concoction. Perfect. Should have asked for hot oil, but forgot. Miso soup came with my sushi/sashimi dinner and it was really good. There was quite a lot of seaweed in there and the bowl was a more generous portion of soup than most other places. The sushi and sashimi? Excellent - the salmon and tuna sashimi were the standouts. The yellowtail sushi piece was also a big winner. All super fresh, cold and perfectly sized portions. I learned that there are soup dumplings on the menu after I left...so I need to go back and try those. And a bunch of other stuff. read more

Yay! I finally had the chance to return to Buddha Asian Bistro to see if my first encounter with the staff was a "one off" or if the service really was as terrible as I thought. The food as always was exceptional. We ordered a bunch of the dim sum's, pineapple fried rice and a curry dish. The service this time wasn't friendly but at least it wasn't hostile. The building and decor is really nice but you can't help but get the feeling that everyone that works there hates their job. There is no joy here other than the taste of the food. It became a last minute lunch fix and now I'm digging Buddha quite a bit so far! Don't worry, I'm not here to write about Sushi that contains Cream Cheese (Ewwwwww). Off the Saw Mill Pkwy, I thought setting is chic with dark wood floors and almost like you're dining in a NYC restaurant. Colors are neutral except for the neon colorful lights interchanging constantly on the large Buddha in the middle of the restaurant. Whether you prefer Rolls, Sashimi or Nigiri- Buddha has them- plus a lot more combos. This Dobbs Ferry spot also serves everything from Thai noodle dishes, popular Americanized sushi rolls to special house creations to 'Asian Tapas'. Oh- and by the way...you're really not balling out on Sushi here- prices were good. But at most, about 50¢-$1.00 higher than what I'm normally used to. Whatever floats your boat- whether it's Sushi or Nigiri......I guess in the end, it adds up to getting a very good Sashimi experience (for me) with flavorful fish and great service. Delicious! I am so happy we stopped here for lunch the food is really good & great quality. Highly recommend the uni foie gras toast, the oysters, toro sushi and the sashimi platter!! sushi rolls are also very good. For drinks we had the sangria and shots of tequila.
