I went on a Sunday afternoon to get some combos to serve my guest and honestly, the food was delicious. I was not disappointed whatsoever and my guest said its a definate must do again. I was on my way to Holy Crab but it was closed. This was the second time in one week that I attempted to dine there and it was closed. So because I was craving a crab boil I walked across the street to this place. Although, in the spirit of full disclosure, I had eaten lunch here with a friend during the pandemic, I did not enjoy it so it was the last place on my mind to come to. However, since I was craving so badly that crab boil and they had it on the menu I decided to give them another try. The staff is very nice, friendly and accommodating, but the food is not the quality of Holy Crab. It was way too salty and I know my blood pressure took a hit after I ate that Cajun crab boil but I ate it anyway. Holy Crab's crab boil consists of crab and whatever other combination of seafood you want in the boil PLUS potatoes, and corn. You can add other stuff like sausage, boiled potatoes eggs and Jasmine rice to make it good. Asian Legend's crab boil came with crab and shrimp, potatoes and corn. I asked for rice in place of the potatoes and they kindly obliged. However, didn't see where you could purchase add ons to the boil so I didn't. Anyhoo, I am back on the prowl looking for another place that does excellent crab boils like my favorite restaurant Holy Crab. I've never had sushi before and never looked because I was always worried about soy sauce, but they have a great gluten free soy sauce, and we're happy to prepare the Pad Thai I ordered GF as well as bring GF soy sauce for the sushi! Please stay as far away from this place as you possibly can. When it was previously known as Asian Temptation it was actually good but it is definitely not anywhere CLOSE to legendary. They have mice running around the kitchen, roaches on the food prep stations as well as in the kitchen. They do not clean up their kitchen at all. There's caked up grease on the frier, stove and leaks that are dripping into the floor because instead of fixing it they made a hole for the water to go down. This is absolutely disgusting, and I am reporting it to the DOH. I don't have any photos but was informed by people who were recently there due to a crime that occurred and had to enter the premises AFTER hours. Since my initial review of Asian Legend, I've dined and ordered takeout from here a handful of times. Because of that, I've gotten a better sense of their offerings and feel the need to re-evaluate my review of this place. In terms of aesthetics, nothing has changed - the restaurant is beautiful with a dark color scheme, a mixture of wood and stone, and a very polished look overall. There's a small bar immediately upon entry with tables and booths towards the back. What brings my review down from a 4 to a 3 is the food. After sampling a number of items on the menu I feel the offerings are just average. The sesame and General Tso's chicken were a let down. While I give them kudos for using white meat chicken, I was struggling to find flavor and spice. The wonton soup also lacks something - the broth was bland and the wonton itself was kind of thin. Some positive notes from the menu I found were the cold sesame noodles and the soup dumplings, those both had good flavor and texture. Overall, Asian Legend kind of falls into a "more of the same" category- especially in view of the fact that there are a ton of Asian restaurants in White Plains. It's location makes it a an easy go-to spot, but if you want something a little more special the extra few steps elsewhere is worth it. read more

Menu seems more streamlined than before, but there is some decent stuff here. Quite simple, but effective, was the tuna roll. The tuna was fresh and fairly tasty, texturally sound, and decent rice. The California rolls were also well executed, though the avocado could have been fresher. The special rolls were really decent or excellent in general - the Crazy Salmon roll had salmon stuffing on the inside, and seared salmon on the outside. The inside was supposed to be crispy; not sure what happened to that. The inside portion could have been more flavorful - the outside sear was rather good. More surprising, but a bit peculiar, was a dish we didn't order for takeout, which was a wrap of mango around some lobster and crabmeat stuffing. We had ordered another special; in any case this one was consumed and it was rather delicious. Once again, avocado could have used some work. The final dish, a hot dish, was a Thai yellow curry with pork. The pork ended up being Chinese roast pork, which was a pleasant surprise! However, as others have mentioned, the vegetables were too raw / undercooked, and the flavors didn't infuse into the vegetables well enough. Though the menu is different than before (see previous writeup), this is still place that's worth checking out, especially for its diverse menu. read more

I have to give a 2 star as they do not practice honest business. They lore you in with several promotional but then the bill comes they say it doesn't apply. Prior to arriving I call and asked how does promotion work the receptionist who is also your waiter stated come in order anything on the menu and show us the code and we take it off the bill. I did exactly that. When the bill came I presented the bar code on my phone she then said nothing I ordered besides my appetizer and drink it applies to so we have to order more items or pay full price. Also the seaweed salad was seven dollars which is a bit steep for seaweed salad. My waiter spent more time talking to his friends than actually attending to our table. Order a canned drink because the juices on tap are not mixed properly and taste very strange. Got their bubble tea (grapefruit for husband, white peach for me) and I'm not sure how they managed to make it watered down AND overly sweet at the same time but they did. The architecture inside was also fitting and nice and it's location in the center of White Plains will definitely help with business soon I'm sure. We went here for their lunch special on a Saturday afternoon. I really like the decoration around the restaurant and the big dragon! We got the sesame chicken and twice cooked pork belly. They both came with soup and we each got the wonton soup. The soup was good and had two delicious wontons. The sesame chicken was above average compared to the other good Chinese places around white plains. The chicken had a good fry and not to much breading. The pork belly was amazing! It was one of the best Chinese dishes I have had in a while. I am definitely going back just for that dish.
